Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. **MEET ME AT OUR 12/13 ADOPTION EVENT IN DORCHESTER!**Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesJean is a gentle, sweet girl who lives up to her “lovebug” nickname. She enjoys the simple things in life: squeaky toys, running around the back yard, and peanut butter treats like they were made just for her. She’s a mellow companion with playful bursts and would love a home that gives her both affection and time to stretch her legs. She does great with other dogs and has enjoyed friendly play in her foster home. Jean has met cats while outdoors and tends to bark at them, so a cat-free home would likely be the best fit. She’s been around children as young as two and does well. She is sweet with them, but not fully aware of her size so dog savvy kids might be best.Jean is both crate and house trained and follows her routine with ease. She loves her walks and only pulls a little in the beginning as she's excited to get outside and explore the world with her person. No doubt she will master the leash with consistency and familiarity.  With her easygoing nature and polite manners, she would be a smooth addition to most homes. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate dog who still enjoys a good game of fetch, Jean may be the one. Could she be your new best friend? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
Nelson is a sweet 6-year-old pitbull mix (45 lbs). We adopted him in 2019 when he was a year old, and he’s been a beloved part of our family ever since. Unfortunately, due to his anxiety and our growing family, we’re looking for a home that better fits his needs. Nelson’s ideal day involves plenty of naps, lounging on his bed, and enjoying some treats. He’s a calm and affectionate dog when in a comfortable environment and doesn’t require a lot of exercise. Nelson does have anxiety that can make him reactive around small children and unfamiliar people in the home. He has a bite history from a high-arousal training session with a new guest in 2021. His interactions with our toddler have never been negative, but his arousal level during play can be high, and he may jump in excitement, so we have had to keep them completely separated--creating an unsustainable environment for all. We want Nelson to have a peaceful home where he can relax and thrive.

Story
Sake is a great, intelligent dog. She was not well trained when we received her, all the info we received was that she came from Philadelphia. She has responded quite well to training, she knows sit and we taught her to wait until told to eat. She seemed to already be crate trained. But she is unfortunately difficult to handle when excited. She has bit before, not out of aggression but from over excitement. I am fully confident that with appropriate attention and training she can overcome this unfortunate habit. However, this is beyond my current abilities and available time. She is allergic to chicken, and is doing well on a fish based diet. I hope she can find a home that has the time and resources to rehabilitate her as she has such potential to be a great pet!
