Story
Meet Blue – A Loyal Companion Looking for a New Home Emergent, less than a week now to find a new home, or I will unfortunately have to surrender and he may face euthanasia because of his breed. Blue is a 4-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier who’s been my beloved companion since he was 8 weeks old. Due to my son's medical needs, I can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Blue is affectionate, goofy, and deeply loyal to his family. He’s protective and can be unsure around strangers, sometimes barking or growling, but he has never bitten. He needs a confident, experienced owner who can continue his training and help him feel secure. Blue should be the only pet in an adult-only home where he can be the center of attention. He’s not comfortable around other animals and may be too much for a home with cats or multiple pets. With patience and love, Blue will be an incredible, devoted best friend.

Story
Rescued from Cape Ann Animal Aid in February 2020 when she was about 3 months old. She has always been a very active dog and loves to run/ play fetch. A DNA test confirmed she is about 25% pit bull, 12% German shepherd, 10% golden retriever and a mix of other breeds. We have done several training programs with her through the 5 years we have had her. She is trained on an ecollar and responds incredibly well to it. She does have high anxiety and follows/ paces through the house. She has been crate trained since we got her. She does really well being in her crate while we are out of the house. She struggles at the vet and we have to give her sedatives before her visit. She doesn’t do well being restrained in the vet office either. Stella is also very protective of her family/ house/ yard. If unfamiliar people approach she will give warning bark/ growl. She needs slow introductions to new people and also will tolerate other dogs if they are introduced properly.

Story
Ken has limited hearing and food sensitivity/allergies, which are his manageable special needs. Otherwise he is in good health. Ken is a handsome cuddle bear and can be very active w you, the best of both worlds! He loves the beach, lakes, is good in water (even in the shower!). Currently, he is in an urban environment and leash walks daily around town but would benefit from a backyard to run and build up confidence as he adjusts to his new normal, (recent partial deafness). Reassurance and slow intros helps him to adjust. Not hearing something approach you can be 😱 especially barking lunging dogs. He is very curious, observant, and will do well in agility training, sniff work, frisbee, and dock diving. He has high jumps and enjoys doing so. He loves to play w his toys like a young puppy and entertains himself w various types of toys. His favorite toys are squeaker toys and soccer balls. Ken does not mind some rain and wears a winter coat easily.

Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesMaxine is a sweet, spunky little girl with a heart full of love and a charming personality. She may be shy at first, but quickly shows her wiggly, happy self. She’s got a funny, endearing way about her and is always ready to play or cuddle once she feels secure. Maxine is a fairly relaxed pupper with fun bursts of playfulness balanced by quiet moments of rest. She absolutely thrives on love and gentle encouragement. Maxine does beautifully with other dogs and enjoys playing with pups of all shapes and sizes. She’s very submissive and gentle—her go-to move when unsure is to lie down and take it all in. She would likely do fine in a home with or without a doggy sibling. Maxine has been around kids of all ages and interacts with them very well. Maxine has lived with cats and showed no interest. In terms of training, Maxine is crate trained, housebroken, and walks very well on a leash. She sees her crate as her safe space and can be found lounging in it during the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. With time, love, and patience, Maxine is sure to become a loyal, joyful addition to her forever home. Are you ready to open your heart and home to Maxine? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Bounce is the girl for you! She has a fantastically low-key personality, is low-maintenance in terms of exercise (she's happy with a leisurely walk or spending time out in a yard rolling in the grass and enjoying the sun,) and mostly just wants to spend time with her humans, even if it means simply snoozing at their feet.Bounce is fully crate and house-trained, non-destructive, incredibly intelligent, and highly motivated by treats so you can bond with her over doggy snacks while teaching her some new tricks. Although Bounce may be a little shy around unfamiliar people or places, she looks to her humans for reassurance and enjoys weekend outings to Home Depot, where she can proudly display her exceptional leash-walking skills. Bounce thrives on the love she gets from her family and would be happiest as an only pet where she can receive ALL of the attention and affection. Whether you work from home or in an office, have a fenced yard, or live in a denser area, Bounce will adapt easily to her new home as long as you can provide Bounce an abundance of love and snuggles! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
