Melo is sweet, enjoys playing and being petted. He spends a lot of time alone due to my schedule and chews on a blanket for comfort. He understands sit, though is sometimes stubborn about it. Melo understands out because I don't allow him in the kitchen. He also understands up when I send him out of the basement and inside when it's time to go in the house.

Ghetti is a 2-3 year old American Bully. She was found running stray with another dog in WV. Spaghetti AKA Ghetti is as cute as they come! She's about 35-40lbs of beautiful bully. She does have some quirks(mainly her fearfulness of men and general shyness). BUT, she has made great strides since being in foster and we have every ounce of confidence that she will continue to flourish in the right home. An added bonus is that she comes with FREE ongoing support from the rescue's certified behavior consultant. In foster, she has become extremely close with the male in the home after her intial fearful behavior of him. The key with her is time, patience, space and understanding. She's really just learning about humans and it's important to continue to make her feel safe. Once she feels safe and trusts you, WATCH OUT! She will crawl into your lap and cuddle like you've never seen. She may even show you her goofy side which is so fun to see! Ghetti may need several meet and greets if you are male or have a male in your home, so if you're impatient or pushy DON'T APPLY. She would do best in a home with a calm male dog or as the only dog, no cats or small animals, respectful kids aged 10 and up. Her ideal home would be on the calm/quiet side. She really loves walks, so if you like walking or hiking in areas with low traffic and noise...she would love to be your hiking partner! She will need someone that isn't scared to advocate for her...meaning that you will need to be able to tell people, "Hey, please give her some space, she's shy." ...or put her in a crate with something yummy if you're having people over and you feel she might not be comfortable. Someone that is willing to always put Ghetti's feelings and best interest first, so that she can continue to learn to trust the world would be amazing! She is not a dog park dog nor would she enjoy outings with people everywhere. Some of her favorite things include: walks in the woods, food, SNUGGLES, treat puzzles and confidence building games, couch potato-ing and car rides. She does well in her crate and hasn't had any potty training issues. If you think you can be an advocate to protect her and her feelings and love her little hippo self, SHE WILL GIVE YOU THAT LOVE BACK TENFOLD! Meet Diesel, the sweetest Pitt mix looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his life. Diesel is thought to be 6. We don't know much about him. He was found starved and in bad shape. He's been gaining great weight at his foster house! and loves to eat He was shot in the leg and walks with a limp, which he definitely plays up for new people or when he wants something. His skin was in rough shape because he was so malnurished but it's getting better with medicated shampoo and a good diet. Diesel is a sweetheart. He loves his crate and goes there when he needs a break. He's house broken. He's been through a lot and prefers to snuggle and lay around instead of running and playing all day. He is dog selective and need to be in a home without other dogs. And is happiest that way as well!  ##1996738##

Introducing Oaklee from Oakmont!  This beautiful girl found herself stranded/possibly dumped in Oakmont and then ended up at a local kennel where she was very close to being put down.  She's not sure why or how the heck she ended up in either place, but is definitely a little sour about not getting to stop in Oakmont Bakery while she was out that way.  Oaklee looooves her treats and knows to automatically and politley sit when offered one.  She is estimated to be around 5-6 years old and weighs around 65lbs.  Oaklee also loves playing with her foster sibling but also loves just relaxing and laying back...as long as it's cuddled up right next to her person or people.  Great in the crate and completely house-trained.  Her foster mom says that she's an all around amazing pup and she'd keep her in a heartbeat if it weren't for all the other dogs still in need.   ##2033744##

Bindy is a beautiful 3 year old brindle Pit mix. Bindy is fine with other medium size dogs but likes to jump on them when playing and some dogs don't like that. She is house trained and well behaved inside. Bindy has picked up easily on sit, come, and stay and would love some more commands to learn! She might chew a dog toy but she won't chew on things she shouldn't. Bindy loves to run and play! She would do well with an active family. She can become shy of new people and take a little time to warm up to strangers. We are unsure of her past, but we don't think she was given time and love.
