Story
Biggie is as his name describes, a big guy at 70lbs. Due to his size and energy level we are not recommending small kids though he is very friendly towards children. He’s friendly with everyone he meets! Biggie loves toys and chewing bones! He would love a family that can engage with him with training, walks, and play. Despite his energy level, he does do well in a crate at night or when his foster family is away. Although he’s lived with dogs fine, slow proper introductions are necessary. We think a home without cats would be best as he does like to chase them when he’s under stimulated.

Story
Rue is a 1.5y/o spayed female bully breed mix. She has been staying with a foster while working on some dog reactivity and mouthiness for about 7 months now. Both of these behaviors have improved greatly, with the mouthiness being completely solved! Rue’s favorite thing is soft places to lay and she often digs herself little nests. She is curious and fun loving, food motivated, and willing to learn! She struggles with having accidents in her crate, but she is improving with this every day. She would not be a good fit with other dogs. She can be known to chase cats, but gives up quickly if scolded and if the cat is dog savvy. She is up to date on vaccines and flea and tick preventative. She comes with her own collar and leash, as well as a few of her favorite toys and a lifetime of support from her foster if needed!

Story
Ghetti is a 2-3 year old American Bully. She was found running stray with another dog in WV. Spaghetti AKA Ghetti is as cute as they come! She's about 35-40lbs of beautiful bully. She does have some quirks(mainly her fearfulness of men and general shyness). BUT, she has made great strides since being in foster and we have every ounce of confidence that she will continue to flourish in the right home. An added bonus is that she comes with FREE ongoing support from the rescue's certified behavior consultant. In foster, she has become extremely close with the male in the home after her intial fearful behavior of him. The key with her is time, patience, space and understanding. She's really just learning about humans and it's important to continue to make her feel safe. Once she feels safe and trusts you, WATCH OUT! She will crawl into your lap and cuddle like you've never seen. She may even show you her goofy side which is so fun to see! Ghetti may need several meet and greets if you are male or have a male in your home, so if you're impatient or pushy DON'T APPLY. She would do best in a home with a calm male dog or as the only dog, no cats or small animals, respectful kids aged 10 and up. Her ideal home would be on the calm/quiet side. She really loves walks, so if you like walking or hiking in areas with low traffic and noise...she would love to be your hiking partner! She will need someone that isn't scared to advocate for her...meaning that you will need to be able to tell people, "Hey, please give her some space, she's shy." ...or put her in a crate with something yummy if you're having people over and you feel she might not be comfortable. Someone that is willing to always put Ghetti's feelings and best interest first, so that she can continue to learn to trust the world would be amazing! She is not a dog park dog nor would she enjoy outings with people everywhere. Some of her favorite things include: walks in the woods, food, SNUGGLES, treat puzzles and confidence building games, couch potato-ing and car rides. She does well in her crate and hasn't had any potty training issues. If you think you can be an advocate to protect her and her feelings and love her little hippo self, SHE WILL GIVE YOU THAT LOVE BACK TENFOLD! She is special and deserves someone special...reach out if you think that someone special is you!  ##1541407##

Story
This absolute darling is Winter! She is a sweet and easy-going lady of medium energy. She loves cuddles and toys, and walks right at your side on a leash. She will melt right into your lap for cuddles and will fall asleep right there. She may do well with a doggie sibling, pending a successful meet and greet. At 8 years old, she has some medical needs typical of dogs her age, which our adoptions team would be happy to speak with you about. Winter is deaf, which means she navigates the world a bit differently, relying on visual cues and vibrations to understand her surroundings. Having a deaf dog can be a rewarding experience-communication is often through hand signals, visual aids, and gentle touch. If you're looking for a laid-back and affectionate sidekick, come meet Winter! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside- 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License #- 1121

Story
Meet Rodeo! Rodeo is a 1-year-old pittie mix, weighing in at 42 pounds, and he’s ready to lasso your heart! This fun-loving, high-energy pup is always up for an adventure and never turns down a chance to play. True to his name, Rodeo loves to run, jump, and zoom around like a little wild stallion! But when playtime is over, he’s all about the snuggles—he greets everyone he meets with hugs and tail wags. He’s still working on his leash skills, but with some patience and training, he’ll be the perfect sidekick. Rodeo does well with other dogs and would be best in a home with older kids who can keep up with his playful spirit. We’re unsure how he feels about cats, but we’re happy to do a cat test for serious inquiries! If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup to add some excitement to your life, Rodeo is your guy! Please reach out to set up a meet-and-greet! All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!
