Alfy is a 2 year old American Pitbull Terrier mix. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, house trained, and full of love and cuddles. Alfy enjoys going on long walks (or runs), tug-a-war, car rides, and doing pretty much anything his owners are doing. He is great with children and all humans, unknown with cats, and for the most part good with dogs but can be aggressive when it comes to food and toys. I'd recommend him being the only dog in the home. Alfy is a curious and smart dog. He's a quick learner but does need additional training. His current owner is working on crate training, and would recommend crating when unattended, since he may start chewing. His current owner has another dog in the house and has found that both dogs would be better in only dog homes, and is looking for a safe, loving home where Alfy can thrive.

Did we say he LOVES his humans?  When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper.  He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides.  He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects.  He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap.  He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health.   He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family.  He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home.    No apartments.   Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society.
