Story
This is a courtesy listing for Forever Home Dog Rescue in Edmonds, WA. https://airtable.com/shrFUvnGftwDTCArX To adopt please apply Watch the u tube. LOL https://youtu.be/HMRUNcczvfI She acts like a lab she LOVES the water! She absolutely has adored every human and acts like she has known you her entire lifetime. We really think other than her wanting to run after rabbits (lol what dog doesn't?) she can be trained to be off leash, as she wants to be right by you. 4/20/21 is her estimated BD ANNIE is a very sweet Pitbull. Super happy loves all humans as if she always knew you. Very very happy dog. She is smart and learns quickly. DOB 4/20/21 is an estimate. . She is about 2 years old and has probably had a couple litters of puppies but she is happy and lovable and strong. The person that originally found her kept her for a couple weeks and was teaching her some of the basic commands and she said she learned quickly. She needs exercise and a strong on the leash she doesn't pull but doesn't seem to yet realize you are on the other end of the leash and sometimes is so happy she wants to do a little zoomie in her exuberance! After she gets her energy out she is so calm loving and affectionate and does good t with other dogs she has met. She will want to sit on your lap LOL if you sit on the floor she just loves people and wants roll in the grass and just be a happy dog. We have had her in a large dog pen with seven other dogs and she gets along great. She currently weighs 50 something lb but is not very tall. She has very dense and strong muscles. Everybody is her friend. She might not be the right match with an alpha female dog. That we aren't sure of. Our guess is we wouldn't trust her with cats. Yes she is spayed, current on all shots, microchipped, etc

Story
Meet Bella! She is available for adoption but will be staying at her foster home until adopted. If you'd like to meet, please contact the shelter and we will make arrangements for the foster home to contact you about meeting her.Meet Bella! The following information is provided by her foster home:Bella is one of the sweetest dogs I've had the good fortune of knowing. She is loyal, playful, and distributes her love evenly among those she cares about. Be sweet to her and you've got a friend for life. She is outrageously adorable, to boot.Bella loves to go for walks. A daily walk between 30-60 minutes keeps her content, otherwise she can get a little restless. That being said, she does not strike me as one who would need a huge backyard. She mainly uses ours to go potty and saves her activity and sniffing for walks. Using a gentle-guider, she's really well-behaved on a leash. She is reactive to other dog walkers, though. She is aggressive with other dogs and isn't comfortable around children, but she has been fine with both adult men and women. She prefers it when people let her come to them. She gets excited with new people and can tend to jump up and give kisses a little too forcefully. She loves to lick and can be kind of an attention hog! All you have to do is look at her and say her name and she'll start wagging her tail.Bella LOVES her toys, especially plushies. She'll often go get a toy and bring it over to you to play or sometimes just to show it off. She even started knowing them by name! She is a toy destroyer and destuffer and they don't last long. She has even ripped a rubber Kong toy into pieces in under two hours. She is extremely smart. She already seemed to know sit, speak, shake, roll over, kiss, up, and stay. We worked with her on "spin around" and she caught on quickly. Bella is very food motivated. She loves to eat. Teaching her tricks and rewarding her behavior is best done with nibbles in hand. She is also very responsive to love and positive reinforcement. She is sensitive to discipline. She is a velcro dog and she seems to enjoy having someone around at home. She likes a routine. When off routine, she can be anxious. Her best days are comprised of sleeping, eating, belly rubs, following her people around, and going for a long walk. Car rides stress her out. She's excited to get in the car, but once she's in and moving she gets very anxious. She is very well-behaved at home alone, but gets a little sad and prefers to have her people home with her.She likes to snuggle on her terms. She likes to have her own doggy bed nearby so she can freely sleep wherever she wants. She may be older in years old but she acts very young in spirit. She is sweet, cheerful, protective and perceptive. She will alert you (loudly) if someone is at the door or if she hears something unusual.Bella just finished nano laser treatment for a mast cell tumor on her left hind leg. It was successfully removed and she is in clinical remission! She has periodic check-ups to ensure it stays that way. Her next appointment is scheduled for late January. She receives two over-the-counter medications, twice a day. She will need to remain on these for life. They are inexpensive and she will eat them if you just put them on her food. After spending a year and a half with Bella, I would deem her ideal adopter to have:· No other pets and no children· A work-from-home family member so she doesn't get lonely· Acreage for her to run around and explore, or the ability to consistently provide her with a 30-60min walk every day· A routine-based lifestyle - travel and unpredictability cause her stress· Commitment to her cancer follow-up appointments and medication· A desire to both give and receive a whole lotta loveBella is a happy girl who deserves a family that's going to be just as sweet to her as she is to them. A family that will take loving care of her for the rest of her Bella days. If that sounds like you, then I'd love to talk further with you!The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Strongid (wormer). Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. Django is a rambunctious boy who needs to work on his leash manners. Django LOVES Toys and would love to play with his new hoomans. He also enjoys playing with other dogs of similar size and energy. He can get into playing and can be a bit mouthy so it isn't recommended he goes to a home with children under 12 years of age.The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Strongid (wormer). Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you'd like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. Story
Topaz is available for adoption at his foster home! If you are interested in meeting Topaz, please provide our staff with your contact information and we will pass it along to the foster home! Update from the foster home! Topaz is doing really well and is quickly picking up on commands and training! We are still working on his mouthy playstyle, but otherwise he is the perfect dog! He has had no accidents in the house and sleeps on the bed with us through the night. He ignores the cats and stays calm while we are sleeping. He is a total cuddle bug if you sit or lay down - he is right there trying to sit as close as he can. Topaz is a friendly dog. He gets along great with the female that he came to the shelter with but has been reactive toward other dogs. He's young and energetic, loves food and would love to learn new things. Topaz should meet any other dog in the household prior to adoption. He has some thinning hair patches that is possibly due to a flea allergy. He should be kept on flea preventative treatment year-round.The dog adoption fee is $90. Barley is a nice, energetic dog but he sometimes is unsure of new people and places. When he's comfortable, he's playful. He does pull hard when being walked on leash.
