Story
Reese is a sweet 2.5-year-old, 66-pound terrier mix with the most beautiful light tan coat. Reese is quite the snuggle bug! She lives for scritches and snoot kisses. She’s officially house broken and kennel trained. Reese has picked up on appropriate manners at meal time (her second favorite time of day) and basic commands. She’s shy around new people, but quickly warns up if they offer pets or cheese. She loves to play and wrestle before taking a good nap. She’s not a chewer, but does love to carry her stuffies around. She’s been fascinated by the guinea pig, she’ll sit and watch her for hours, but has never been aggressive towards her. Our cats have steered clear of her, but she hasn’t shown much interest in them. She needs a good home with a playmate and a decent yard or daily walks. She’d be the perfect family dog, she’s very loving and gentle.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 12, 2025, 5:48 am

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEATTLE💟 Meet Mina💞 * Interaction with People: Likes people! Is shy initially with strangers but soon approaches them with affection and acts charming. Is not usually the type to approach first but does not shy away from contact, enjoying and accepting gentle touches. * Interaction with Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Often greets new dogs at the Center first and welcomes those approaching her without reservation. Tolerates playful nips well from other dogs. Mingles with any dog without confrontation. * Separation Anxiety: It’s hard to determine because she is residing in a group at the Center. Appears content and relaxed even when alone. * Potty Training: Currently uses outdoors potty while living at the Center. Occasionally has potty accidents in her kennel when it is urgent. * Hygiene: Stays still while being enjoying being touched by humans. Accepts baths and brushing nicely. Is patient enough to have her nail trimmed quietly once her paws are firmly held. * Walks: Isn’t used to walks yet so is undergoing training. Doesn’t feel any discomfort with leashes and harnesses. Wears clothes well but takes them off promptly on her own maybe due to their tight feeling. 💌Special Notes💌 * Her skin discoloration should improve in a cleaner environment. * Though timid, Mina sometimes acts boldly. Her personality is somewhat cat-like but her charm is her affection and smile coming through despite that. * Is kennel-trained. ❗Health Status❗ * Spay: Complete * Others: Microchipped, heartworm negative * Due to the muddy conditions at the Center, Mina’s legs have become discolored from constant contact with dirt. This has not affected her health or skin. * She is getting weekly medicated baths due to skin trouble presumably caused by allergies.

Story
Atlas-t, Your Loyal Companion has arrived! Atlas is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his name suggests. This well-mannered boy prefers to keep to himself but would love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with a loving human by his side. He’s incredibly well-behaved, treat-motivated, and fully housebroken—making him an easy addition to any home. The Perfect Housemate - Crate-trained and comfortable in his own space- Walks beautifully on a leash, greeting passing dogs with curiosity but no aggression- Rides well in the car for those weekend adventures- Atlas is not a fan of feline friends so he would do best in a home without kitties! Health & Care - Up to date on shots and already neutered- Heartworm positive, but currently undergoing the slow-kill treatment (adoption includes a year of preventive and treatment meds!) Heartworm is unfortunately quite common in Texas due to the warm, humid climate that allows mosquitoes, which spread heartworm, to thrive year-round. Many dogs in Texas face this risk, but the good news is that heartworm treatment is very effective. With proper medical care, including the treatment provided at adoption, dogs can fully recover and go on to lead long, healthy, and happy lives. With preventive medication, heartworm can be kept at bay, allowing dogs to enjoy an active, fulfilling life with their families. Atlas hasn’t been formally introduced to other dogs yet, but his calm demeanor and friendly sidewalk greetings show great promise. While his size might seem intimidating, his personality is nothing but sweet. If you’re looking for a chill, well-behaved companion to share your home and heart with, Atlas is your guy. We’re also starting a fundraiser next week to help with his heartworm treatment, but any adopter will receive full support with his continued care. Could you be the one to give Atlas his forever home? Apply today! To add Atlas to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2219801##

Story
Meet Rex, the irresistibly adorable five-month-old puppy who's bound to capture your heart! With a playful spirit and a curious nature, Rex is the perfect companion for anyone who loves a little adventure. He absolutely adores humans and gets along well with other dogs. However, his fascination with cats can be a bit overwhelming for our feline friends. Rex is almost fully housebroken and excels at walking on a leash. Plus, he's crate trained, making him an easy addition to any household. His laid-back demeanor ensures he will fit right in, no matter where he goes. We offer transportation to the Pacific Northwest, East Coast, and Midwest, so adopting Rex is a breeze. Why choose a pet from Texas? Because every day, perfectly healthy dogs and cats in our shelters miss the chance to find a loving home. Don't let Rex be one of them—he's ready to meet someone like you!
