Story
Kila joined our home almost one year ago after we rescued her from a local shelter. We think she’s 7 years old, although we have limited information about her life before she joined us. Kila is one of the sweetest—she loves people and does well with other non-aggressive dogs. She’s very gentle and interested in children, but we’re unsure if she’s lived with any kids or cats before. She’s never had an accident in the house, quietly sleeps through the night, is never destructive, and doesn't bark. Kila does suffer from anxiety, which manifests as shaking and retreating to her safe space. Noises and being left home alone are really tough for her. She’s taking anti-anxiety meds that help, but she would be happiest if she could be with people all the time. Right now she goes to dog daycare two days each week when we can’t be home, and she LOVES it. Looking for a calm, quiet forever home with someone prepared to take on a 24/7 buddy who needs a little extra love & care.

Story
Animal Profile: Sadie is playfull and affectionate, young 40lb cattle dog/pit mix who is about to turn a year old in December 2025.  Her mother was rescued from New Mexico when she was pregnant and brought to Washington to birth her puppies in a private home.   Foster Update: Sadie is an active, eager young pup. She will do best in a home with a fenced yard with room to blow off steam and/or with an active person looking for their ride or die.  Sadie is great with other dogs big and small and currently lives with a cat she has learned to respect.  Sadie is naturally obedient/eager to please and enjoys being busy.  She is crate trained/potty trained and loves being on the go with her person.  She can be a little uncertain when meeting new people but is VERY food motivated and is fast friends with anyone willing to give her attention and treats. Sadie currently resides in foster care with Double Down Dog Training and once adopted with come with lifetime support.  You can check out more photos and videos of her on the instagram page under 'current fosters' or 'puppypalooza'.  Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $575 which includes her spay, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-applicationDecember 9, 2025, 12:02 am

Story
FOSTER NEEDED BY JANUARY, or ideally a forever home! Sammy is currently in a foster home but they are unable to keep him after the first week of January. Meet Sammy, a 9 year old Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix! Sammy's two favorite hobbies are snuggling on the couch and outdoor walks. He does great with people--to Sammy, there is nothing better than getting pets, giving kisses, and following his human friends around. He can get pretty excited and will jump up (and on) to people to greet them. Because of this, this 65 lb boy would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. Sammy is highly reactive to other dogs and animals; he must be the only pet in the home. The best home for him would also be in an area with limited/no interaction with other dogs. Sammy is crate-trained, potty-trained, and house trained--he does not chew on any furniture or belongings. He has wonderful house manners and is a perfect gentleman! He has no issues with car rides, and he's not much of a barker (unless he hears other dogs barking, then he will respond.) Sammy is extremely treat-motivated; when you put a treat in front of him, he is a quick learner! Sammy is as sweet as they come, a very loyal companion to his humans--he's just looking for his perfect match!

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Tanner! Tanner is a 4-year-old, 56 LB Staffy with a big head, a big heart, and an even bigger smile! This sweet, social boy loves people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s treat-motivated, affectionate, and happiest when he’s getting love and attention from his humans. Tanner can be strong and enthusiastic—he’s a hugger who likes to jump up when he’s excited—so we’re looking for adopters with breed experience who can handle his strength and continue his training. He’d love a home that keeps him active, engaged, and included in family adventures ~ but most importantly, gives him a nice cozy spot to curl up in! He would do great with another friendly dog in the home or could happily soak up all the love as your one and only. Tanner hasn’t been tested with cats or children. This lovable boy is ready to find his forever family—one that appreciates his goofy charm and giant heart. Tanner is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.
