Story
Minerva is a very sweet girl. She has been an emotional support animal for years and now that she is getting older (12 years old this fall) she needs a home that can support her. She has some health issues: --Skin issues which she takes Apequel for --She gets UTI's regularly which require antibiotics. When she gets an infection her feet/toes swell up. Antibiotics will clear this up, but vets are loathe to give her the antibiotics she needs without hundreds of dollars of testing. --Her hips bother her so she cannot walk more than a few blocks The only behavioral issue she has is leash aggression towards other dogs. If she sees another dog on the street she will growl and bark and try to lunge towards them. This makes it difficult to impossible to take her anywhere that other dogs might be. She has never injured another dog, but she has frightened many other dog owners. The ideal home for her would be a house without other dogs (she gets along with cats) with a yard and doggie door.

Story
Tundra is a beautiful 2.6 year female, Staffordshire terrier and Border Collie mix. Tundra does great in the home, and loves other dogs. She’s also very affectionate and friendly. Tundra loves going on walks and adventures in nature. She is house trained and loves hanging out and being a snuggle bug too. Tundra has never met a stranger (human or canine) that she doesn’t love. She is a perfect cuddler and is never shy to give kisses. She’s a big hearted, loyal girl who loves life. She has good foundational leash manners but can pull some at first when excited. She’d do best in a home without cats. She is kid friendly and doesn’t mind being laid on or used as a foot rest, children 12 and up would be best. She can get a little mouthy and when she’s excited but she’s a smart girl and can easily learn more manners with patience and time. Her favorite past times are eating, sleeping with a cozy blankie, and having a good chew session with a Yak cheese chew. Shes spayed, up to date on all vaccines, potty trained and hasn’t torn up anything while being left alone during the work day. Tundra is located in Bonney Lake and available to meet anytime! Please email cynthia@pawsforliferescue.net and plz include your phone number.   July 26, 2024, 5:07 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Nutmeg is an estimated 3-year-old, 70 lb neutered male mixed breed listed as a lab mix but likely with some bully too -- who knows? He was rescued from the high kill Bakersfield Animal Shelter where he was assessed to be timid but friendly with people and respectful of other animals; Nutmeg is very affectionate once he has a chance to get to know you. He has a gentle mellow energy. Foster Update: Nutmeg is one sweet boy!  He will need a proper introduction to any potential dog friends, but he enjoys running and playing with his canine friends at doggy daycare. He lives to play ball and could do it all day. Nutmeg has been working hard on his obedience, and will thrive in a home where his skills will be kept up. This energetic dude also has an off switch, and would be happy to snuggle up at the end of the day for a snooze. Nutmeg has been in foster care with the trainers at A Dogs Best Friend in Vancouver, WA. He is a board and train grad, and has wonderful manners. Nutmeg is house and crate trained, and knows the commands sit, down, heel (on a loose leash), place and come. He participates in doggy daycare and enjoys his time with his trainers, but Nutmeg would love a family to call his own. Adoption Info: Nutmeg's adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go to the care for all dogs in the rescue. Apply online at www.doggoneseattle.org Animal History: Nutmeg was rescued from Bakersfield Animal Shelter and arrived to foster care in the Seattle area on 6/19/22. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.July 26, 2024, 1:04 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Meet Ryder! He's an estimated 3-year-old, 55 lb neutered male bully mix. He came to the shelter as a stray and was a staff favorite. They described him as friendly, fun and adorable.   Foster Update: Ryder is a handsome and energetic dog who loves to play. He gets lots of compliments, in part because of his muscular physique -- he looks like he hits the gym every day! Ryder loves to be with his people and becomes quite cuddly when you hold him or rub his belly. He’s always ready to chase, tug on a rope or fetch, and with practice will now happily drop the ball so you can throw it again. Ryder doesn't typically bark at other dogs but he is strong and has a rough-and-tumble play style. In true pitty fashion, he loves to bump and go under/over other dogs. Ryder will need a tolerant and sturdy canine companion if he goes to a home with a resident dog. Ryder is crate trained and has good house manners -- he doesn't chew on off-limits items like furniture, shoes or socks. He's come a long way with his impulse control: He used to get very excited coming out of the crate or greeting guests but has shown willingness to respond to a firm "NO." It's helpful that he is quite food and praise motivated; belly rubs are the best! Ryder has shown he can be quite in tune with your mood. When you're excited he's ready to go! When you're calm, he's ready for snuggles. With all his training progress his new nickname is "Little Gentleman." This loving boy will make a beautiful addition to the right family -- pitbull breed experience preferred. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, health certificate, heartworm test, transport from California to Seattle. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at Tulare high-kill shelter in California and arrived to foster care in Seattle on Thurs 7/20/23. He will be available for adoption after evaluated in foster care in the greater Seattle area.July 26, 2024, 1:04 pm

Love (v), a very strong affection, intense feelings of devotion and compassion...see also American Staffy I was named after the Bluebell flower which symbolizes gratitude and humility. Wow that's a mighty big name to live up to, but I'm up for the challenge as I'd be forever grateful to know a loving home and I can be very modest about having all that love heaped on me. And of course, you also have Bluebell Ice Cream which is a cool delicious sweet treat. Oh my, yep, I'm definitely named after the ice cream!! Wow, pretty as a flower and sweet as ice cream. That is a mighty big win win! At around 3 years and coming in at around 63lbs, I'm a good size gal but don't worry that just means they is more of me to put a whole lot of lovins on you. I don't know about you but I find that a pretty good win for both of us too!! I am a very affectionate gal that loves loves loves my people.. both tall and small. I'm super laidback and calm, just going with the flow, enjoying my people time that includes lots of cuddles. I also do great with other pups and love my outings especially when I get to go visit all my friends (both 2 and 4 legged) at the doggie park or at doggie daycare. What can I say, I make friends with everyone, everywhere I go!!!! I love getting attention, sunbathing, car rides, going for walks, my spa days and to top it all off, I'm house trained too. Now that's another winning combination!! My breed are known for their affectionate, loving nature and are also low in grooming maintenance. Just a quick bath, brush and nail trim and I'm ready to go!! I would make great company for someone that works from home or who is retired. With my friendly nature and calm ways I'd even be a great first time pet parent pup!! Loving, housetrained, good with the kiddos, good with other dogs, cuddly... WOW! I'm all that wrapped up in one big package. The only thing missing is YOU, but we can fix that easily , just stop what you're doing and fill out my adoption application and I'll be happy to take it from there!!

"Hello, my name is Cash, and I am a 2-year-old pup and come in at around 55ish lbs! I had been thrown out of a truck and received a nasty gash on my head. A couple of stitches and a lot of love later has me right as rain now! But even that hasn't changed my trusting and affectionate nature. I am your typical playful, affectionate, and friendly pooch, and I am a total velcro dog - I'll stick by your side through thick and thin! And that means....no more ever having to go anywhere (even that bathroom) by yourself!! I am a loving cuddle bug who loves my balls, ropes and especially those toys that go squeak, my doggy friends, my humans, and car rides. I am good on a leash and I love treats, so I am very easy to train. I'm even already house trained! I am an all-around great pup just looking for my fur-ever home. Maybe, just maybe it could be with YOU?!!!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Dunkin - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey there! I'm Dunkin, your future best friend and professional cuddle expert. At the ripe age of 2 1/2, I've mastered the art of being the ultimate companion. My resume includes top-notch skills in napping, fetching, and giving unconditional love. Let's dive into the deets, shall we? Who's a Good Boy? I Am! First things first, I'm on a gourmet diet of Purina Chicken & Rice—only the best for this furball. I'm super friendly with humans (big and small), other dogs, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. Yes, I'm a social butterfly! Indoor or Outdoor? I Love 'Em Both! Whether we're chilling indoors or exploring the great outdoors, I'm all in. I'm a true indoor/outdoor enthusiast. Fancy a hike? I'm your guy. More of a homebody? I'll snuggle up right next to you. And yes, I'm crate trained too, so no worries there! Cuddle Bug Extraordinaire I'm not just any regular dog; I'm a cuddle bug deluxe edition. I love naps more than a squirrel loves nuts. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy during those lazy Sunday afternoons, look no further. Dunkin is here to stay! Adventures and Playtime? Count Me In! I'm an avid hiker, a swimming champ, and a fetch pro. But, let's be real, I do have a tiny quirk—I'm not a fan of those rolling beasts called shopping carts, and loud noises and new places can be a bit spooky. But give me a little time to adjust, and I'll be the life of the party, showing off my happy, playful, and downright silly side. A Little Love Goes a Long Way!! I love rubbing up against my favorite humans (and yes, furniture too—I don't discriminate). I'm a laid-back lap dog at heart, not high strung at all. My main goal? To find a loving home where I can avoid the shelter life and be part of a family that adores me as much as I'll adore them. So, what do you say? Ready to add a sprinkle of Dunkin to your life? Let's make every day brighter...together!! Fill out my adoption application and let's start our forever friendship!
