Stitch is a loving boy that wants nothing but to be part of a family.  He is our gentle giant.  (Sometimes he forgets how big he is) He is smart and well behaved.  His size sometimes has been a problem when trying to play with smaller dogs.  We think he would do best as an only pet in a family.  He so wants to share some of the love he has to give and be able to receive just the same from his family.  He is crate trained and housebroken. All shots are up to date and he has been neutered. He’s an American Staffordshire terrier, around five years old and 64 lbs. Tragically, Billy’s owner died suddenly of a heart attack recently, so he needs a new home. He's currently in a foster home near Seattle. He’s a really wonderful dog: energetic (but not crazily so), loves people, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s a terrific snuggler, and will curl up on the couch with his head in your lap, or lie alongside you in bed as he snoozes happily with your arm around him. Billy is a “middle-of-the-pack” guy, so he’s neither dominant nor submissive with other dogs, and loves to play. He hasn’t been tested with cats. He’s super-friendly with everyone and is great with kids. Billy would be a perfect companion for someone who wants an active dog to take on long walks or hikes, and then cuddle up with on the couch afterwards. He’d also be a great play companion for someone with a similar dog. He needs some basic training, but he’s smart and learns quickly. In short, Billy is a typical AmStaff: fun, loving and sweet. She came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA and is looking for her forever home. She is a sweet girl who is eager to learn. She will need an adopter who will need to be committed to potty training, obedience training and everything that a puppy needs. She would love a home/townhome with a fenced yard in a suburban or rural area. She does well with other dogs and loves to play in the play yard with other dogs. She would love to be in a home with another dog to help show her the ropes as she grows up, or a home that has other dogs in their friend/family circle for him to socialize with. TEMP FOSTER NEEDED 6/2-6/11 Animal Profile:  Mikey is a 4.5 year old bully breed mix. His heart is as big as his head, and we think he’s a long lost relative of Ferdinand the Bull. Mikey is 90 lbs of love. He found himself in need of rescue when his family fell on hard times and was no longer able to care for him. Mikey is friendly with dogs (little dogs are his favorite) and grew up with a pack of a Chihuahuas. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, and will absolutely try to slip you a little tongue on the first kiss. Mikey is house and crate trained, and loves car rides. He even loved riding the bus in his previous life. His slight under bite and bright eyes just make his mug even more adorable. Mikey is strong, and will pull on his leash, usually when he’s trying to smell the flowers along the sidewalk. He’ll need a strong person who can continue working on his leash manners, but he’s doing great with commands like ‘sit’ and ‘place’. Mikey has a soft mouth and a soft soul - he’s friendly with kids but is a bit of a bull in a china shop, so he’s liable to accidentally knock over small children. He arrived in rescue with a skin infection and allergies that made him itchy, but he’s on a good diet with supplements to help him overcome the itch. We’d love to see Mikey join a dog savvy family where he can live out his life getting loved on, enjoy basking in a yard in the sun, and being the best house hippo ever.    Foster Update:  Mikey is a sweet sweet boy who loves to hang out with his human, go for walks, and lounge around the house when you are busy. He is house trained and crate trained. He already knows the sit and place command and is working on learning more! He has also made great progress on improving his agility and lost about ~10 lbs (down to 80lbs from once 90lbs). He is friendly with new humans and wins over anyone who he meets on the street or friends who visit your home. He was raised in a house full of Chihuahuas and seems to get along with dogs on the walk. He is also great in the car which is a bonus! Mikey is looking for a loving home where he can grow and thrive! Hi, I'm Zeus! I'm a 5-year-old staffy. I've had some ups and downs, but I'm ready to find my forever home. I really need somebody that's going to give me a structured life, with rules and boundaries. I enjoy structured walks with time to play on the playground, and tug is definitely one of my favorites! I will play fetch for a while... pretty cool I just started learned to bring the ball back instead of just chewing on it. I don't mind cats, but other dogs I need a slow intro. Mostly, I just want to share your snacks and cuddle on the sofa with you. Animal Profile: Zeus is an estimated 5-year-old 60 lb neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier who is looking for a loving forever home to call his own. His former owners shared a rental home with his current caretaker and then just up and left. He has been taken care of (rather than surrendered to a shelter) by this good samaritan ever since, and we are helping to find him a home! Zeus is now crate trained and house trained and has obedience training too! He is friendly with all people and has lived with older children without any issues. Zeus was previously leash reactive but now walks politely with training tools; he will need an adopter willing to use a training collar to manage his leash reactivity. Zeus currently lives with other dogs and does fine with that as long as toys are not in the picture; he is prone to resource guarding toys (with other dogs, not people) and so toys would need to be managed in a multi-dog home. Meet Martin.  This adorable boy is the happiest boy out there!  He has plenty of energy to go around for all of us.  Martin loves playtime with his foster buddies of the same energy.  They run and run and play all day.  He is crate trained and housebroken.  Martin has been around some cats and has done very well.  A house with another dog would be the perfect fit for his needs.  HE is loving and would make a great addition to any family.
