FOSTER NEEDED BY JANUARY, or ideally a forever home! Sammy is currently in a foster home but they are unable to keep him after the first week of January. Meet Sammy, a 9 year old Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix! Sammy's two favorite hobbies are snuggling on the couch and outdoor walks. He does great with people--to Sammy, there is nothing better than getting pets, giving kisses, and following his human friends around. He can get pretty excited and will jump up (and on) to people to greet them. Because of this, this 65 lb boy would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. Sammy is highly reactive to other dogs and animals; he must be the only pet in the home. The best home for him would also be in an area with limited/no interaction with other dogs. Sammy is crate-trained, potty-trained, and house trained--he does not chew on any furniture or belongings. He has wonderful house manners and is a perfect gentleman! He has no issues with car rides, and he's not much of a barker (unless he hears other dogs barking, then he will respond.) Sammy is extremely treat-motivated; when you put a treat in front of him, he is a quick learner! Sammy is as sweet as they come, a very loyal companion to his humans--he's just looking for his perfect match!
