Story
Bilbo is an unfixed great pyranees and Anatolian shepherd mix. He is not doing well with our little kids and we are looking to find him a household with with teens or older. He is good with some dogs but has shown some nipping/herding behavior in the recent past. He is about 4 months old and friendly. I love this dog but, I do not have the time space or knowledge to train him effectively. He is crate trained and somewhat housebroken, he needs his booster shots which we will complete before anyone adopts him.

Story
Meet Champ – The Underdog Ready to Win Your Heart Champ isn't just his name- it's who he is. This 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix (71 lbs) has spent 375 days waiting as of 04/10/26, and through it all, he has never stopped believing that his person is out there. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75- but the loyalty, devotion, and heart he brings are truly priceless. Champ is the kind of dog who forms a deep, unbreakable bond with his person. He is incredibly people-focused, always looking to connect, and thrives when he has someone to call his own. Once you're in his circle, you're everything to him. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and does best with structure, routine, and confident leadership. Champ is not just looking for a home- he's looking for a teammate, someone who will guide him, believe in him, and let him be the loyal companion he was meant to be. Champ would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large, strong dog. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals and will require a securely fenced yard (6Âפ ft, no chain link). He may do well with a submissive female dog or thrive as the only pet where he can fully focus on his person. After more than a year in the shelter, Champ is more than ready to step into the life he deserves- a life where he is no longer waiting, but finally home. Champ is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26. If you're looking for a dog who will stand by your side, be fiercely loyal, and give you his whole heart, Champ is ready to meet you. He's waited long enough- now it's his time to win. Story
Meet Molly, a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix who weighs approximately 93 pounds and is looking for the right home to match her loyal and intelligent personality. Molly was surrendered to our facility after she was not compatible with the other dogs in her previous home. She is very treat-motivated, knows several basic commands, walks well on a leash, and even knows some fun tricks like offering her paw for a “shake.” Molly appears to be both housebroken and crate trained, which should help make her transition into a new home smoother. As a middle-aged, extra-large breed dog, Molly prefers a calmer environment and is past the stage of puppy antics. Because of this, she would do best in a home with children 16 years or older, or in an adult-only household. Molly does not do well with female dogs but may coexist with a calm, large-breed male. If you currently have a large male dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure they are a good match. Molly's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on her rabies vaccination, and up to date on basic boosters. If you are interested in meeting Molly, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/our-pets/available-dogs/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say hello to our hopeful Miss Birdee Pruitt. This pretty girl landed on the euthanasia list, together with her two siblings, at the shelter in Bastrop TX. (Her name comes from the Sandra Bullock character in "Hope Floats," which was filmed in and around Bastrop.) Thankfully, when we made a post about these pups, our friends Molly and Chris stepped up to pull them to safety and foster them. Our best guess is that Birdee is most likely Anatolian Shepherd mix, but the set of her ears tells us that there may be a non-LGD breed somewhere in her family tree. She has an estimated birthday of 2/4/2024, and since she and her siblings were surrendered to the shelter by their previous family, we think that should be very close to their actual birthday. Birdee weighed about 78 lbs at 1.5 years old, so it's reasonable to guess that she could top out around 85 lbs when she's fully mature. In her first foster home, Birdee was exposed to chickens and sheep, but only in very limited and supervised situations. Since moving to Windsong Ranch, Birdee has split her time pretty evenly between playing with her siblings and staying in the pasture with our Nigerian Dwarf goats. We really don't think she wants to be a working livestock guardian dog, but we think she would make a great addition to a small homestead where she could be a family pet who is not likely to harm the livestock. Birdee LOVES the water and will splash in a kiddy pool or water tub or creek or pond or any other water you put in front of her. Birdee is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, so she is ready to find her forever home. If you would like to consider making her part of your family, please complete the online application. PLEASE NOTE: Birdee was on a tie-out ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF THESE PHOTOS. It can be really tough to get photos of a puppy who wants to run and play and explore everything. The tie-out limits her movements and makes it easier to use both hands on the phone/camera. Once the photo session was done, Birdee was returned to the puppy play yard.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2026, 4:51 pm

Story
This was my wife's dog. We are going through a divorce and I have done my best to take care of him. Unfortunately right now he stays in his kennel and only gets let out twice a day. I do not have the time, nor the ability to give him the life he deserves. She is unable to keep him, and I have been doing my best for the last year. I know he isn't as happy as he could be or once was. I need him to go to a good home where he can be loved on, because he has a lot of love to give.
