Meet Izzy! She is a beautiful girl with soft, medium length, fuzzy, fur. Izzy is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Most of all she just wants to be with her family. She is house trained and crate trained. Izzy loves car rides, neighborhood walks, and relaxing with her people on the couch. Izzy does well with other dogs, when introduced properly. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this sweet girl and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . Izzy is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Koda (aka Dot) Nicknames - Koda Nick or Koda Bear Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/Chow Chow Sex/Age/Weight: Female/3 years old/55 lbs. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on prevention, dewormed, flea/tick/parasite-free, and microchipped House/Crate Trained: Yes/Yes. Koda loves her crate! When it comes to nap time or settling in for the evening Koda goes right in for a snooze. Dogs/Cats/Children: Yes/No/Yes. Koda does very well with medium to large sized dogs and has two furry siblings she loves to wrestle with. She is not comfortable with smaller dogs and cats so it is best that she be the one and only or have a medium to large size dog to hang out with. She loves children of all ages especially when she can cuddle up with them and get belly rubs. Training: Koda is working on her commands and manners. She knows sit, down, and paw, and walks great on a leash. She will need someone to continue to train her so she can be the best girl for you! Working on: Koda is quite the snuggle bunny and sometimes thinks she is a lap dog. She is learning that you can cuddle with your humans without sitting on their lap. She can be vocal about things she wants - dinner, attention, etc., She is an American Idol in the making and is in the process of learning to sing silently and will need someone to continue teaching her it is okay to sing to yourself. Koda has trust issues when it comes to dinner time and prefers to enjoy her meal in her crate. Her foster family is slowly introducing her to others at meal time. Things I like: People! She loves to be around her humans. Snuggling up with them is one of her favorite pastimes. When she is not cuddling up, you will find her playing and running around in the backyard with her siblings or having fun time in the water. Things I don’t like: Being alone or ignored for long periods of time. Koda would love someone who works from home or who is only gone from home for short periods of time. As much as she loves playing in the water, bath time is not her favorite. She doesn’t understand it helps keep her beautiful coat from shedding so much. She will need a daily brushing to help with her shedding as well. Ideal home: Koda would do best where she can get lots of exercise, play time, and attention. A family who has time to be committed to her would be best, preferably with a backyard where she she could hang out with a furry sibling (medium to large sized dogs only). If you are interested in giving me a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Sweet baby Gilbert is about 12 weeks old and ready for a home to call his very own! This little fellow is very social and will be a fun addition to any loving family. Gilbert Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
This little lady is Shonda, and she cannot wait to meet you! Shonda is around 3-5years old but has a grey muzzle so we say she’s closer to 5 years. She’s very personable and friendly but she takes a little bit to warm up and show her true colors. She’s not very photogenic so it’s tough to properly exhibit all of the smiling and kisses that she bestows on us individually. Shonda is very tidy but loves to obliterate the occasional toy or nearly devour a marrow bone. She’s a loud and proud cat chaser so none of those for her! She does appreciate other dogs her size but a large pack is too much for her at this time. She’s had a bunch of friends but is an anti big as a German Shepherd kind of girl. This chick is heavy on the Cattle Dog Mix and who knows what else is stirred in the pot. Older kids are better/ not because she doesn’t like them or people, just because of the slower warm on a new person. Shonda can’t have ten thousand stairs in a home, okay that’s dramatic but you know what we mean. Less is more in the stair department. She’s apparently got an ataxic body and can get stiff. She’s got a wonky Fair but Vet claims she great and not in pain, that there’s no need to fret. She gets joint supplements and runs all over. We adore her and we know you will too! To spring her out if our shelter, apply at www.brasscityrescue.org
