Story
My name is Hukarere, but friends call me Zaya! I`m a super sweet energetic girl, and I`m house-trained and crate-trained. I love to make new friends and make my people laugh! True to my breed, I like to herd people, and would do best in a home without young children or cats. I like other dogs but would do best not living with them as I don`t always like to share my humans. 🌾 Meet Jody (aka JoJo) — the dog who learned patience before anything elseJody isn’t loud. She isn’t pushy. She doesn’t demand your attention. She waits.Jody’s story began on the side of the road, where she and her littermates were abandoned. A rescue was contacted — but no one came. They were left there again. Eventually, another rescue stepped in and made sure they were safe, but Jody grew up without the early stability most puppies get.And somehow, instead of that making her chaotic or fearful, it made her thoughtful, observant, and deeply respectful of people.Jody has the kind of manners you usually only see in much older dogs. When the doorbell rings, she doesn’t bark or rush the door. When someone enters the home, she waits. She watches. She reads the room. She already knows how to sit for treats, learns routines quickly, and truly wants to do the right thing. She’s affectionate and loves to cuddle — but she never pushes herself into your space. Belly rubs are her favorite, and when she’s ready to relax, she’ll quietly retreat to her open crate, her safe place. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate in the master bedroom and settles beautifully. As a heeler mix, Jody is smart, attentive, and loyal — but unlike the stereotype, she’s calm and gentle. She rarely barks, walks nicely on leash, and has a steady presence that makes people feel at ease. She’s mostly housebroken (with occasional pee pad use), crate trained, leash trained, and respectful with other dogs (bones should be given separately).Jody is the kind of dog who stays engaged with her handler, checks in often, and responds well to guidance and cues. She does best with structure, consistency, and a person who values communication and trust. She would do well in a family home, but she would truly shine in a quieter household or with someone who values a companion over constant activity.Heeler mixes are often overlooked.Quiet dogs are often overlooked. But Jody isn’t missing anything — she’s just waiting for someone who notices the ones who don’t shout for attention. She may not steal the spotlight. But she will be loyal in a way that lasts a lifetime.⸻🐾 Jody at a Glance • Age: Adult (approx.) • Weight: ~30 lbs • Breed (best guess): Cattle Dog / Australian Shepherd / Red Heeler mix • Location: Antioch, IL🏡 Home Life • Housebroken: Mostly (occasional pee pad use) • Crate trained: Yes • Leash trained: Yes • Kids: Yes • Dogs: Yes • Cats: Unknown🩺 Vetting • Spayed • Up to date on vaccines • Microchipped💰 Adoption Fee$500 adoption fee⸻💙 The Right MatchJody is looking for someone patient, kind, and observant — someone who understands that the best dogs aren’t always the loudest ones in the room.If you’re the kind of person who notices the quiet ones,JoJo has been waiting for you.👉 Apply at: www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550

Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 3-5 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention and can be ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. If you are looking for an only dog to be your bestest snuggle buddy, please submit an application at forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any potential adopter must meet him here.

Story
Paige gets along great with our four pups (per my husband, we can't have a fifth or she wouldn't be on here, lol) She's super sweet... she'll cuddle up here and there but overall, is pretty self-sufficient. She's like white on rice with us so you don't have to worry about her running away. About her ideal home... -One additional dog (it's what she knows). Her previous canine buddy was laid back as are our dogs, if a dog likes her, she's a fan of them too. She loves kids and we've been told she's a friend to the feline community as well. -Fenced in yard (she also enjoys her daily walks) -Someone who believes dogs are members of the family. She's used to sleeping on beds and not being alone for long periods of time. This is the product of abandonment after divorce. This sweet, chill girl deserves the best life for the rest of her life so if we don't find the perfect home for her, we'll keep her. She's such an easy dog and it makes no sense that someone could give her up.

Story
Sunny is a bright, sensitive soul that seems to love everyone she meets. She currently lives with other dogs, has lived with dog savvy cats and children. She will smile at you when she meets you or if she is somewhat embarrassed. While she would love to adventure with you most anywhere (long hikes, rides in the car, a good run, traveling, etc.)she is also game to curl up next to you at the end of the day for hugs and gentle kisses. Sunny tends towards submissive and very respectful to her canine friends. She would love to learn as much as you can teach her and is a quick study. And while she will happily jump up next to you on a couch or bed, she will not (to date) jump even an 18` high baby gate. She is crate trained, but safe to leave out. House trained. Has great recall to her name, as long as she hasn`t been cooped up too long. Her hearing then becomes selective until she burns some energy. She has NOT shown signs of herding. She will hunt and track squirrels through the tree tops, and if anything runs, she`ll be after it. She does know leave it, sit, come, down, off and a few other commandsYou can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!!
