Perhaps I have my name because I am the greatest pooch you will ever meet or perhaps because I will love you to the max. No matter the reason, together we can be the greatest combination. I lived with a family most of my life and things were lovely. There were kids to play with and other dogs to romp with, I got lots of exercise and training, fun car rides (I love car rides) and even learned about living with felines and was friendly to them. Unfortunately, there was a bit of turmoil in the family and my people had to move to a place where I could not follow so, I came to WCHS to find a new home. Since I am gorgeous, fun and playful I am sure I will find another loving family in no time; I tend to have an optimistic outlook on life. When I was a wee pup, I hung out in a crate when I was alone, but as I grew, I was so respectful of my people's things that I was allowed to roam free about the house. To me a crate is a cozy little den of my own where I can enjoy a long-lasting treat and relax on a comfy bed. So, I would be open to having a private place when I am alone in my new home until I have adjusted to my new pad. In my previous home I was fortunate to sleep with my people in their bed; that was wonderful. I am an affectionate lad and a real lap lover, so snuggling all night long was a magnificent treat. I had learned to jump at the door and talk a bit to ask to go outside and use the facilities. When I come into my new home it would be wise to give me plenty of bathroom breaks until we are familiar with each other's signals and routines. I am a smart boy and have learned several human words. I know the cues for ‘sit', ‘down', ‘shake/paw' and ‘dance'; I have even learned how to pheasant hunt. You may not want to take me pheasant hunting but I wanted you to know how versatile I am. With patient and positive training techniques I would game for anything, especially if it meant spending time together. I have been described as friendly, playful, vocal, active and even a bit hyper. Some have suggested I am independent and a wee bit stubborn. I am a cuddly free-spirit who would love to take life's journey with you; I am sure we can have a blast together.#1

He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. Hello My name is Banjo, and I am roughly six months old. My story starts being dumped with my sister, and we hid in a drainage ditch for a while. The rescue came and picked us up and life has changed forever. I love playing with other dogs. It can be chase or just wrestling or in the kiddie pool together! I do love my kiddie pool. I have a habit of carrying something in my mouth all the time. Usually, a stuffed animal or a squeaky toy. It makes me feel better and even try to talk a little with it in my mouth. It probably helps my insecurities after being dumped . I have been doing great in the house. I use a doggie door and sleep on a kuranda bed at night. The rescue did my DNA test, and I came back mostly German Shepard and Australian shepherd. The biggest thing I need is my confidence built up that I won’t be dumped again. I would prefer always having company ,human or dog. I am a big baby and trying to restore my faith in humans. I am neutered , micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations. My adoption fee covers a health certificate from the vet and transport from Tennessee.
