Maybelline is a 4 year old Australian shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix with a walk like a Corgi. She is 40lbs which we think is the perfect medium sized pup! Maybelline has lived outside her whole life, so she’s looking for a home that’ll be patient with her while she learns the ropes of indoor living. Right now, her foster mom says she’s acclimating so fast! Maybelline is a very happy go lucky girl. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and hold you hostage. She likes to eat ALL the food you have to offer her–even if it’s a bite of your burger, she doesn’t mind. She will hog the bed, act as a heating pad on the couch, follow you like a shadow, accompany you on any adventure that awaits and will do so without complaints. Maybelline is the picture of a loyal companion. She’s quirky, but who doesn’t love a quirky girl? Her smile comes off as more of a smirk and we giggle every time it comes out. Her eyes are SO expressive. Her whole body will wiggle with joy the second she sees you or hears your voice. She’s such a happy dog. Her nub tail goes a million miles a minute the higher your voice goes. Maybelline enjoys treats, especially if it’s lunch meat. Specifically, turkey. She’s a little on the picky side with dog food, but she’s just watching her figure! Because she’s snack motivated, training with her will be extra fun! She is great on leash and enjoys nature walks. She’s not a fast-paced girl but hikes could also be her thing! A trip down to the lake could also prove to be a blast! Maybelline is great in the kennel for just learning what one is. Say hello to Marley! Marley is a sensitive herding-breed dog who is looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and build confidence. He has a history of fear and anxiety, but his foster parent reports that he is very snuggly and fun-loving once someone has earned his trust! Marley is not a good fit for homes with children under 5, and any children under 17 must meet him prior to adoption. Marley must meet any resident dogs and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. He has no known history with cats, so careful introductions would be needed. Marley will do best with an experienced and understanding adopter who can provide exercise, structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Whether you’re relaxing at home or moving from room to room, she’s ready to be your loyal shadow. With her affectionate heart and fun spirit, she’s sure to bring laughter, companionship, and so much love into the right home. She’s simply looking for someone to call her own — and she’ll happily return that love tenfold.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. My name is Fancy . I am estimated to be 2 years old. I am a very sweet girl, but I have a very quirky personality. I am very good in the house ; I am crate trained and have used a doggie door. I love jumping right in the car and going for rides ! I walk on a leash every day currently. When I first meet people, I am very cautious, and act scared. I defiantly bond very fast to women. Young kids scare me, and I tend to go hide in my safe place , my crate. Once I feel comfy around you , I act just like every other dog. I love to give kisses , play with my toys and go for walks on the leash. I love fresh carrots for a treat or a big rawhide to chew on. I have lived with several dogs before and enjoy their company. All my vet work is done, and I am microchipped. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee. I can be a very good loyal companion in the right setting. I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard if you walk me on a leash every day.

Sweet Dixie has been at the rescue for a little over a year. The group of dogs that she entered care with were quickly adopted out. She is still waiting. Dixie was a young mom who had to scrounge for food while living outside. She no longer has to wonder where her next meal is coming from, but she is still wondering when someone will choose her. Dixie is more than willing to jump up on your shoulders and find her perfect perch to protect the herd, but she is equally as cool finding a little corner of your world to catch some much needed relaxation. She is great with several sizes of puppies and potty and crate trained. Being a heeler, she is very smart and quick to learn. She really wants to please. Dixie would love to find a home where she feels secure and can be active or not. She will need time to settle in and get used to the routines of the household.
