Meet Sartorius, affectionately known as Torri! He is a 6-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been a beloved member of our family since he was 12 weeks old. Torri is up to date on all his medical care, vaccines, and is neutered. Torri is a high-energy dog who thrives in an active environment. He loves playing frisbee and going on hikes, and he will happily cuddle up after a day of fun. While Torri is friendly and loving, he can become anxious in unpredictable situations and does not do well with children or larger dogs. However, he loves smaller dogs and would do well in a home where he is either the only dog or has companions that are smaller than him. We are rehoming Torri because we are planning to start a family, and we believe he would be happiest with an owner who can provide him with the active lifestyle he craves and a stable environment. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves adventure and cuddles, Torri might be the perfect fit for you!

This is a courtesy post for Silver Lake Animal Rescue League to help find Sugar Bear a forever home. So if you are interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don't know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small!Sugar Bear's family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animals shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home.Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children.Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. She is a very smart girl and listens very well when you call her name. Story
Dante is a ~10 mo old sweetheart who has been well loved in his current home. Unfortunately, he and his current owner are not well matched, and it has become increasingly challenging for her to keep up with his needs due to her busy schedule. He loves other dogs, very well socialized with dogs/people and is very friendly towards both. He has not lived with kids, but has shown no signs of aggression towards kids. He got along with cats when he encountered them. He is a typical young dog for his breed and is still learning to regulate his energy. He is a sweet and good boy. The ideal home for Dante would have a large fenced yard and another dog (or even two) or a family of at least 2 ppl. He's super smart and a quick learner and loyal to his people. He loves people!! He knows many basic cues. Dante is a happy, playful and high energy pup and it is important that his new home is with folks with an active lifestyle and who have experience with dogs (esp. herding breeds)

Story
Poe is an amazing dog and is smart and friendly. He weighs 65lbs, has a chip, and is up-to-date on all his vaccines. He loves to cuddle and play. He is high-energy and would do well with a family with kids who love to throw the ball or chase him around or someone who likes to go for a walk or run. He picks up tricks very easily and he is trained on ringing the bell at the door to go outside. We also use an invisible fence with our dogs. We do have a cat that he is very interested in, he likes to chase her sometimes but that's about it. We have 3 kids between 7 and 13 who are not as enthusiastic about dogs as my husband and I, and we both work so Poe is often left in the cage during the day and not able to get the exercise and play he needs. I would love to see him get the attention he deserves. He would make an amazing best friend and companion.
