This is Squirrel.  She's a sweet and spunky 6 month old pup.  Squirrel loves people and does well with kids. She is great with the resident dogs and is sure she will eventually win over the affections of the cat!!  Squirrel is crate trained and  is working hard on her house manners.   Her hobbies include exploring the yard, destroying any and all stuffed toys, and playing chase with the other dogs.  She loves treats, chin scratches and long snoozes on a soft blanket stretched out in the sun.  Squirrel is a fun, loving girl who is excited to find her forever home! Story
Bullseye turned out to be a dog that needs lots of play time , exercise and outside time. Beings he was mix breed and I met him at 2 weeks I did not know this. My schedule does not allow for this and he is spending too much time in his pen. I want him to live his best life and get his needs met. He does have Texas red heeler in him so he likes to herd things. He is not good with small dogs as he plays hard with our 100# dog. Also plays hard so smaller children under 10 would be difficult. He is a loving sweet dog and loves attention. He has skin allergies and requires supplements.

Are you looking for a car-riding, casual strolling, sun-loving goofy girl? That's me!! Put me in the car and I will fall asleep in minutes! My foster mom takes me to the park where I love a casual sniff walk. Those fast-paced walks aren't for me! I love to smell the roses along the way and enjoy the sights! During the day I have no problem being in my crate when the humans are away and I even sleep in it at night! I am ready to chill out for the night by about 8pm. You will find me stretched out on the bed waiting for some cuddles!! Let's meet up and talk more about ME!! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $475To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi, my name is Lydia and I am so grateful to be in Minnesota! Not only was I made for this weather, but I am looking forward to finding my forever family. I am pretty shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly and will trust you if you show me kindness, patience, and love. I love to go outside! I like to take walks on my leash and learn new tricks. I would play fetch all day if you could throw my ball that long. I am happy and quiet in my crate during the workday if my mom has to go into work. I am comfortable with my new digs and love taking naps on my very own bed. I am fully house-trained and know that the bathroom is outside. I am good at letting you know I need to go out by whining and heading toward the door. I love to play with all my toys and my foster brother (who is MUCH bigger than me). I have a few special stuffed animals that pretty much go wherever I go. Usually, I try to fit them all in my mouth at once. I am still getting used to the world around me so I can be timid of something or someone new. Sometimes I get spooked by everyday things, but I feel safe with a little reassurance and looking back to my human. I am always curious and learning more each and every day with my foster mom exposing me to all kinds of new things and experiences. I am confident with many of my commands and I usually know what is expected of me. I have learned how to sit, stay, come, shake, get down/off, walking on a leash, and I’m working really hard on roll over and wait. I am very eager to learn and perform. My foster mom says that I am great at independent play as long as I have a few toys to play with. Although playing fetch or eating nighttime ice cubes are my favorite activities, my absolute favorite is falling asleep on my back to belly rubs by my human. I fall asleep even faster when my foster mom holds my paw.My foster family tells me I must be part snow dog because I cannot get enough playtime in the snow. I love being near my people or my foster brother. I am very gentle with my humans and I like to spend my days chasing toys or my tail, followed by snuggling with you for a long nap. My foster mom says I am sweet, kind, very smart, and silly. I have learned that my facial expressions make my mom laugh, but I’m just being me! I am so silky and soft to pet and boy do I enjoy getting loved on by people. I will show my appreciation with snuggles and kisses. If you’re looking for a new loyal family member, playmate, and snuggle buddy, look no further. My foster mom tells me I deserve everything life has to offer! Everything I have been through has brought me here to you, my new family. I will be dedicated to you and you will never question my love for you. Will you be my new family and my entire world?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. Hi! I'm Gus! I'm so excited to now be in MN! I was a stray found in Alabama, and it's HOT there! I've been living with my other siblings at the shelter for so long, it's amazing having my own home and bed to sleep in comfortably now. They introduced me to a cat there, and I wasn't impressed, so I just left her alone. I am shy, so I do need some prompting here and there. Like, I'm not sure about car rides, but if you put me in the car and ride with me so I'm not alone, then I do fine. I take a while to like hardwood floors, I mean how does one not slip and slide on them!?? But I have them down now. I do like to take my time coming into the house, but again, I'm shy at first. I love to play, and I like to have a paw on you whenever I can, just to make sure you remember I'm here. I give the BEST kisses and my foster mom says she just loves my ears. I do have a little owie on the back of one of my ears, but it's nothing a little salve can't fix! Plus, I get treats after each application, now that's the life!!!I can't wait to meet you! Thank you for stopping by and checking me out! See you soon!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. Story
Hey guys!I’m Nordy. I came to MN a few months ago from Alabama with my 4 brothers. We are all named after MN mascots. My name is fitting because my foster family is All-In when it comes to hockey.I really love it here. I have the best foster brother. He is also a warrior dog. He has taught me so much, like, walking on a leash, relaxing in my kennel, going potty outside, and other good puppy manners. I still have more to learn, but I am wicked smart and can't wait to show off my skills. We also do loads of fun stuff together like playing tag, tug-o-war, fetch, and wrestling.I have a foster sister they say is a dog, she’s small and fluffy and seems more like a cat to me. She and I snuggle on the couch for afternoon naps and sleep in a giant puppy pile at night.I do everything with gusto. I play hard and sleep hard too. I like to go to bed early and sleep late. I need to recharge my batteries for a full day of fun. Oh, and I’ll warn you, I kiss enthusiastically. Nothing better than smothering my family with my sloppy puppy kisses.I am really excited to find my family. So far Minnesota has been great and I know it’s just going to get better once I meet you.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. Oh, Hi! I’m T.C. Bear! But just so you know, I’m a puppy. I haven’t lived here in Minnesota for long but I'm glad to be here! I lived in Alabama but came here for a better life. I have four brothers that came along with me.I love being with my person all the time! I would like someone who needs me as much as I need them. I love to snuggle. I don’t like being in the kennel. My foster Mom has a bed for me in her office. I lay in that while she works with a few toys. I stay in my doggie bed until she moves. When someone in my family moves you can find me on their heels. I like to explore and observe my surroundings, but I am always ready for a game of chase! I currently live with an 11-year-old dog who is a little grumpy. I still love him and follow his lead. I watch him and learn how to be a good dog!Did I mention I LOVE to snuggle! In fact, my foster Mom calls my Teddy because I’m more of a teddy and less of a bear!I am very sweet and I think I could be the perfect pup for you! I just need to find someone or a family to give all of my love to. Could you be the person or family I've been looking for? I can’t wait to meet you! P.S. Go Twins!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. Story
Hi! My name is Mercedes and I am from a shelter in Arkansas. From the foster: Mercedes is just the sweetest, pint-sized pup that you've ever met! We've only had the honor of fostering her for a couple of days, so she's been a little timid, but so much has happened in the last couple of weeks, so can you blame her?? She absolutely adores people and other dogs and cannot wait to snuggle up and give you lots of gentle kisses! She is a medium-energy pup that passes her day by chewing on toys, playing with the resident dog, soaking up the sun, watching the bumble bees outside, and, oh, getting in a few naps. She is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. She whimpers a little because she'd much rather snuggle with you but settles in within a few minutes. We still have to see how she does in the crate during the day, but we wanted to give her time to decompress before adding that in. Did you notice she is potty trained?! Four months old, and she just goes down and sits by the door. What a smart little girl! Speaking of smarts, she has the cutest "Sit and loves joining the resident's dog game of Find It and Hide & Seek. She's very food-motivated, so I'm assuming she'll have a few more tricks down by the time you meet her! Are you looking for a low shedder? Look no further! We can't find ANY loose hairs from her - which, to be honest, compared to our current fluffball, is a blessing. Car rides are no problem for this little girl. She walks well on a leash. Loud sounds and new experiences also don't seem to phase her. She did fine in a car wash and had no problem with our robot vacuum. The previous temp foster said she sat great at outdoor pubs and pet-friendly establishments. She also tested her with a cat and did well; she just wanted to play, which the dog-savvy cat just ignored and walked away. What else do you need to know? She's still learning to not jump up. The previous foster had her around many kids, and she was very sweet and tolerant; she was just a little eager and needed to be corrected to not jump up or paw at small children. While not extreme in her chewing, she also wanted to see what a plant leaf and book tasted like. Nothing unexpected with a four-month-old pup, but just a heads up that although she's potty trained, you'll probably need to keep her near initially while she's learning what can and can not be chewed on. She redirects great. Are you interested in building her confidence and getting the best snuggler in the world? Let's make a plan to meet!
