Story
I need a new foster who is willing to work with me and my reactivity. Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo! My favorite thing to do is play fetch. If I have a ball then I'm super happy. I also like to explore new places and car rides for ice cream are pretty fun. I have quite a bit of energy and will let you know I am bored by shoving toys in your face. I also really enjoy cuddling and will curl up next to you on the couch anytime. I am a super sweet dog and I really love my people. I'm such a good boy that my foster family leaves me to have free range of the house while they're gone. I sleep with my foster mom and prefer it to a kennel but I am okay with either. I really hope to find my forever home with people that will love me as much as I love them! Camilo does have seasonal allergies and will occasionally need shots for it but is really easily managed. The biggest complication with him is he has some pretty severe people reactivity. He does amazing with us and is just fine with close friends and family that he has met many times. He doesn't like strangers to come in the house and is okay outside as long as people are far enough away. This is something we have been working on but he still has a good ways to go before he is able to be brought anywhere with people. This past winter he did just fine as less people are outside, however, with the nicer weather his reactivity became more apparent. He does just fine with most dogs, especially if they are smaller than him, and currently lives comfortably with another dog in the same space. He really is an amazing companion. He is super sweet and gentle when at home, just doesn't know how to manage his fears and needs some more extensive training.

Story
Hi there! My name is Josie. I am from Arkansas. Thank so much for stopping by! Let me introduce myself - my name is Josie and I'm from Arkansas...wherever that is! I am so excited to meet you and get to know each other. My foster family really enjoys having me around, so maybe you will too? I sure do love my people - I will never turn down an opportunity to get some belly rubs, ear scratches, and snuggles from my family. Snuggling and sitting on my foster mama's lap are one of my favorite things to do. Want to know what else I enjoy? FOOD! I love food...any food will do! I get so excited when it's time to eat that I kinda-sorta try to steal some from my sister, so mom has to separate me so I don't eat all of her food too. I'm sure you're all wondering about how my training is coming along, yes? I don't mind my crate. I sleep in there and I eat in there, so it's not such a bad place. Mom tells people I'm pretty quiet in there and sometimes in the evening, I'll just go lay in there when I'm really tired. I'm still working on my potty training. I never ever go in my kennel (I did once because mom left me in there just a little too long), but she's trying to teach me how to use this silly bell. I haven't quite figured why I should ring the bell, I live with my sissy, Jennifer, and my resident sister, Winnie. We love to romp around and play (& steal each other's toys!). I also have two human brothers (9 & 12) and we get along great too. I'd love to show you what a good girl I am, so please come and meet me - I'd be a perfect addition to your family! Lastly, fun fact about me...I make the goofiest face and I can't wait to show you sometime. The first day my foster mom picked me up, she thought I was snarling at her...but oh no...that's just me being silly and showing off my pearly whites. I wouldn't hurt a fly! I'd love to show you what a good girl I am, so please come and meet me - I'd be a perfect addition to your family! From the Foster Mom: I picked Josie up from TBB at the end of March, so she's had some time to get comfortable in our home. Let me just say, Josie is such a delight to have around. She tends to be a bit more on the timid side, but she warms up super quickly. She is just a little lover and always wants affection & snuggles. Josie loves her humans so much, she likes to jump up and greet them, so will need to work on that with her. As you'd expect from a puppy, she is very curious - sniffing everything she can find. She is VERY treat / food motivated and we are working on basic commands & training with her. Regarding potty training, I have been using a bell to let me know when she needs to go out. She still needs some work with that. We've made progress on pottying outside, but her bladder is small, so she would need someone who can let her outside frequently or kennel her (she does great overnight. During the day, the longest consecutive amount of time she was in her kennel was up to 6 hours while I was gone at work). We have also been taking her to our kids sporting events to help socialize her. She does have a voice and is not afraid to use it if she's unsure of something so may do best in non-shared walls.

Hi! I'm Crystal. I'm from Kentucky. From her foster: Crystal is a gem! She is a very quiet, easy going, and calm young dog who loves to be doing whatever you are doing. She is seeking a new best friend who wants to take her along on all the fun adventures as well as spend quality couch time with her. She adores her pink plastic ball, having it thrown for her, and its squeaky sound. Interestingly, she only wants to play with it inside. Anytime we take it outside, she picks it up and carries it back to the door. :) It will definitely be going along with her to her new home. She loves our daily walks, bunny rabbits! and her kiddie swimming pool. On hot days she likes to get into the pool and lay down to cool off. Crystal is curious and friendly, eager to investigate and say hi to people and dogs we meet along the way. Crystal has not been tested with cats or children, and she currently lives with another dog. She is smart and would really enjoy some basic obedience or tricks classes. Crystal is waiting to hear from you today! From the Vet: Crystal in undergoing treatment trial for urine leakage and while she will sometimes have some accidents in the house, we are working through this with some medications that seems to be helping her avoid this. We recommend getting Crystal established with a primary care vet upon adoption so her future family can continue to work through this with her. TBB will agree to cover 1 lab work recheck and 1 round of medications associated with that appointment.

Story
Derek once had a family, only to be tossed away when he developed mange. A non-contagious skin condition that makes pups lose their fur and be itchy - making them develop some skin infections. Good news? Derek was rescued and is well on his way to a full recovery.  Derek is a happy, goofy, playful boy that just loves life. He LOVES to fetch, run around the yard and he really, really loves other dogs. Another dog to keep building his confidence and teaching him it's ok to just be a pup would be really great in Derek's forever home.  Derek is crate trained, house trained and knows his basic manners. He is currently working on keeping all four paws on the floor (he gets really excited to see his people!) and loose leash walking. If Derek could be directly next to another dog or his people all day, he would be so happy! Derek is also good with cats - though he will try to herd them if they let him. When the resident cats give him a swat or a hiss, he backs off.  While Derek is OK with the kids in his foster home now after being with them for a month, he was very nervous of the kiddos when he first arrived. With that, Derek will only be placed in a home with no kids or older dog/savvy kids. Kids were obviously very mean to him in his previous environment, and they make him very unsure of who can be trusted. As his confidence grows and he realizes he is truly safe now, this may subside and be a non-issue. Until then, we want to be sure Derek feels comfortable in any environment he will be in!  Derek's foster family did send in a DNA tets on him and it came back with a mixture of 18 different breeds! The highest percentages were: 26% Australian Cattle Dog, 15% Border Collie and 12% American Staffordshire Terrier and 7% Boston Terrier! The other 14 breeds were all 5% or lower.  Derek's ideal family is one that is active and can keep his body and mind busy. One that is home frequently as he craves to be next to those that he loves - someone who works from home like his foster family does or is retired would be ideal! A family that can continue on his training - he is a bright boy that needs to build his confidence and training is a great way to do that.  Derek currently lives in the country with a large fenced yard - he LOVES to be outside and explore with his family. He has never been in a neighborhood/city setting but his foster family feels like that would be OK with enough time to settle in and be comfortable in his surroundings. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2077088##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB:  03/22/2017 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, sometimes selective with small dogs Okay with cats: No, has prey drive Okay with children under 12 years old: Has done fine with kids 4+ that are respectful  Weight: 49 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  No,  with limited mobility he needs a special helper harness for his back end. A yard would give him the freedom to roam.  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Galleta, and I am an incredibly handsome and happy adult Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix. Sure, I have limited feeling and movement in my hind legs, but I love life just the same! I mean not only do I have a wonderful wheelchair that allows me to run around but I also get to do about 10-15 minutes of physical therapy, stretches, & exercises every single day to help ensure my muscles don’t atrophy. Some people may not like doing a PT regimen, but I don’t mind it at all because it’s more quality time with my people. I would love to find a family that would also bring me to a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and even swimming!! Oh my gosh not only is playing fetch in the water is SOOOO much fun but I am an excellent swimmer! I do not like a lot of commotion and I’m a bit shy around new people especially if they get too close, but I love to be with MY people and I’m getting braver every day! I have a high prey drive so cats are probably not a good fit for me; I’m good with kids as long as they don't try and climb on me; and I do well with most other dogs although I can be a bit selective with small dogs. But mostly, I am easy going! I am a super smart boy who’s not only potty, crate, and leash trained but I know a bunch of commands like “down”, “kennel/crate”, “outside”, “wait”, and a release word “ok”.  Also, I have learned how to go up and down stairs! I can climb 3-4 steps of any surface on my own, and a full flight of carpeted stairs on my own if supervised. Sometimes I need a little help to get started if the landing is slippery like vinyl or hardwood.  I am a happy, playful, and very loving boy who loves giving hugs, kisses, & snuggles, playing fetch in a huge yard, going to the dog park, playing with my toys, going for leashed walks, getting lots of belly rubs, and eating treats especially fruits & veggies! YUUUMMM!!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I also love to practice Barn Hunt…I may not be able to compete, but I sure do have a great time practicing! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I am an incredibly sweet bundle of love who is simply looking for patience and unconditional love from a committed fur-ever family that not only will NEVER give up on me but who will help me continue my physical therapy routine and keep me safe. I promise that I am totally worth it, and I will love you more than you could EVER imagine! Love & snuggles, Galleta. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Tacoma and I am a happy gal from Texas ready to find my forever home in Minnesota. I am an incredibly beautiful 3 year old Australian Cattle dog mix. I am a bit on the smaller size – so perfect for snuggling into a comfy dog bed! A little about me – I am deaf, but don’t let that stop me and am a very smart girl! I have picked up the routine in the house very quick. I also have a medical issue called “fly biting” – the vet discovered it is likely related to my diet. With a low carb diet and daily Prilosec, it is manageable. It might also be a bit anxiety based and/or habitual so when we meet my foster family can tell you about my routine and triggers. They think I would do best in a calm home. When I came up to Minnesota it was discovered I was heartworm positive. Now that those pesky bugs are gone, I'm a healthy girl, but need year round heartworm pills.   I would love to find a forever home with another dog that can help me stay on a routine and keep me busy. I am not a high energy dog but am a busy girl following my people and the other dogs around the house and yard. I don’t need a fenced yard since I am leash trained but would do best in a fenced yard to run and play in – or someone who can help me burn some energy out on walks, runs or teach me agility skills. I do try and play with the cats in my foster home, so if there are cats in my forever home they would need to be dog savvy and slowing introduced. If I didn’t have my foster sister to romp around and play with, I might be too interested in the cats and I don’t think they would enjoy how much fun I am. I love being around my people and following them around – they are helping me work on my manners like not jumping on people or bark at strangers. The barking doesn’t really bother me since I can’t hear it anyway. I am potty trained and crate trained. I live with a few other dogs and really enjoy the company of one in particular – she is a great buddy and we like to play together. Sometimes I do get into trouble, and it kinda makes my foster dad laugh, although he knows he shouldn’t. He says that I will pick up anything that isn’t nailed down – shoes, socks etc and carry it around – then my foster sister grabs the other end and the circus begins. Play time is great!! I love to be part of the action and would love to find a forever home that will love me unconditionally and help me be the best girl I can be! I know you will love me with all your heart, because I already love you! I hope to meet you soon! Welcome Pinky to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 14-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Whippet. She weighs 30 pounds and is a medium sized dog. She is good on a leash and super friendly to strangers. She is outgoing and very affectionate. She is active as a young dog would be but not over the top. She is sturdy enough and tall enough to be a good walking or jogging companion. She is friendly enough already to go to Starbucks or some dog friendly place and meet strangers. She is a moderate shedding dog. She is potty trained and good in a crate. She likes car rides and is overall a very sweet dog. She gets along with other dogs of all types. She is vaccinated, healthy and ready for her forever home. She could be with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in Texas at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Fanny. I am a very beautiful, smart, funny, and all-around loving adult female Cattle Dog who loves to be with my people! My favorite activities include chewing on bones or treats, snoozing, going on leashed walks, exploring my surroundings, rolling around, going on car rides, and snuggling! I do not like loud noises, and I have not met any cats, but I am good with kids and other dogs. In fact, I get super excited when I see other dogs and would enjoy having a companion at my new home along with a fenced yard where we can safely play! I am working hard at, and with a consistent schedule, will hopefully soon master, potty training, but I already know commands like “come” and “kennel/crate” and will even go into my kennel with no issues. That said, I would, of course, rather be with my family!! Anyway, I really am the sweetest girl ever and I am simply looking for a patient furever family who will not only promise to NEVER give up on me but who will always keep me safe and love me unconditionally. If you are looking for an amazing companion who is truly a constant source of light and smiles, then you have just met your soul mate! I promise I will love you more than you could EVER imagine! Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.      ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Odin is a 9-year old Aussie mix who's owner died. From his foster: Looking for a sweet, friendly, silly, senior? Odin loves people and is great with dogs! He enjoys being active whether it's walks (although is a puller and we are working on that) or the dog park. His favorite is going to run around his foster granddads 42 acres!!! But Odin doesn't run off and comes when called! What a good boy Odin is a quiet boy, rarely makes a peep, not even when those darn delivery folks come to the door! He is completely potty trained, does great in a kennel but doesn't need one. He is currently not kenneled and does not get into anything. He has shown absolutely zero aggression or resource guarding with my dog nor any he has met. He's just a lovely good boy. Odin was born with a short lower jaw, although this does not hinder his eating or drinking. He often has his tongue out to the side and will dribble water a bit more than most dogs. He does great with his dry or canned food on a plate. Odin would do great in just about any household as he is a pretty easygoing guy but would do best with regular exercise. He is afraid of the vacuum but so far that's it. Does great in the car, good for baths, nail trims, and no fear of storms. From the Vet: Hi! My name is Odin and I would love to share some medical information we have learned from my history as well as my first exam at The Bond Between Vet Center! My jaw appears to have been congenital, but it is not at this time causing me any issues with my teeth! I do have history of seizures, however I have not had any episodes during the time I have been with my foster so the vet said I don't need any meds! While it is unlikely at this stage, my future adopter should monitor for any seizure activity and seek guidance with a primary vet thereafter. Hope to meet you soon and settle into my fur-ever home!

Story
Hi! My name is Flounder and I am from Kentucky. I am about 2 years old and 38 lbs. I get along well with other dogs, and when people are asked to use one word to describe me, the answer is always Sweet! I love to make new friends, could one of them be you? From his foster: Flounder is a happy 2-year-old Australian Shepard. He has a lot of energy and zooms all over the house. He loves being petted and getting belly rubs. He takes a nap around 12 or 1. He climbs up on the couch and falls asleep. Loves his stuffed animals. He tosses them between the couch and the loveseat. We are working on a good routine for potty time and giving tells but it's a work in progress.

Story
Hi! My name is Frito and I am from Kentucky. I'm a sweet little guy who adores napping and playing. Like any typical puppy, I alternate between lots of sleep and bursts of energy. My favorite place is my foster mom's fenced backyard, where I love to zoom around with my foster toddler and have a blast! I enjoy playing with other dogs and kids, too. When I'm not zooming around town, I'm all about cuddles! I'm still learning to walk nicely on a leash and doing well with potty training on a consistent schedule. I've met chickens and cats and find them okay, but they don't grab my attention too much. I believe I'd make a wonderful addition to any family! From his foster: Hi there, I'm Frito! My favorite place is my foster mom's fenced backyard, where I love to zoom around with my foster toddler and have a blast! I enjoy playing with other dogs and kids, though I'm a bit shy around adults at first. Once I warm up, though, I'm all about cuddles! I like to observe new people from a safe spot before deciding to interact with them. I'm still learning to walk nicely on a leash and doing well with potty training on a consistent schedule.
