Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo! My favorite thing to do is play fetch. If I have a ball then I'm super happy. I also like to explore new places and car rides for ice cream are pretty fun. I have quite a bit of energy and will let you know I am bored by shoving toys in your face. I also really enjoy cuddling and will curl up next to you on the couch anytime. I am a super sweet dog and I really love my people. I'm such a good boy that my foster family leaves me to have free range of the house while they're gone. I sleep with my foster mom and prefer it to a kennel but I am okay with either. I really hope to find my forever home with people that will love me as much as I love them! Camilo does have seasonal allergies and will occasionally need shots for it but is really easily managed. The biggest complication with him is he has some pretty severe people reactivity. He does amazing with us and is just fine with close friends and family that he has met many times. He doesn't like strangers to come in the house and is okay outside as long as people are far enough away. This is something we have been working on but he still has a good ways to go before he is able to be brought anywhere with people. This past winter he did just fine as less people are outside, however, with the nicer weather his reactivity became more apparent. He does just fine with most dogs, especially if they are smaller than him, and currently lives comfortably with another dog in the same space. He really is an amazing companion. He is super sweet and gentle when at home, just doesn't know how to manage his fears and needs some more extensive training.

Story
Hi! I'm Biscoff. I'm from Texas. From her foster: Hi my name is Biscoff and everyone says I'm the sweetest dog. I'm very friendly and love being with people of all ages as well as with other dogs. Currently my absolute favorite thing to do is go to dog parks. I'm not shy so I will introduce myself to every person and dog at the park and initiate playing with them. I get lots of compliments from other dog owners about my sweet temperament. And they can't believe how good I am with little kids. My foster mom's 4 year old daughter loves to play with me, hug me ,cuddle with me ,and I'm always very gentle with her, even when she gets kind of wild. I get really excited when my foster mom and daughter get home. I also like it when other people come over, even strangers. I will run up to greet them. My foster mom is working with me on not jumping up on people. I just want them to pet me. I also will roll over for a belly rub. My second favorite thing to do is go on walks, the longer the better because I have lots of energy. I'm still considered a puppy at one year and 3 months of age. I tend to pull on the leash so I'm working on that too. When it's time to go to bed I would prefer to snuggle up with my foster mom in her bed but she prefers that I sleep in the kennel, I'm fine sleeping all night in my kennel. I also go in the kennel while my foster mom goes to work. I would love to have a back yard to spend time in. I think I'd be fine with a single person forever home or with a family of any size. If you have another dog for me to play with that would be nice. I'd be fine if I got all the attention as well. If you have some love to give, get ahold of The Bond Between. I won't let you down. I have a lot of love to give as well.

Story
Hi! My name is Ozzy and I am from Texas. From his foster: He loves taking naps, going for car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his humans. He is doing very well with potty training and crate training. From the Vet: Hi! I''m Ozzy and I'm looking for a special forever family! When I came into rescue my siblings and I were set to be spayed and neutered, but it was discovered that I had a fairly serious heart murmur. After an echocardiogram with my friends at the University of Minnesota Cardiology it was determined that the cause of my murmur was 2 heart defects. PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus - a defect that causes the ductus arteriosus to not close properly at birth) and pulmonic stenosis (a narrowing of the pulmonic valve). I was promptly scheduled for a heart surgery to repair these 2 defects. During surgery a device was placed in my artery to close the whole caused by the PDA defect. While attempting to place the balloon in my pulmonary valve I had some complications that halted surgery so my cardiology team could save my life!! I am so thankful they did. The team at the U of M has decided that it will be best to recheck my heart in 3 months and decide if that time if the balloon will still be needed. I hope that my future family can help me continue on my road to recovery, but for now I am a happy puppy with a much better prognosis than I had a few weeks ago! While I am still a puppy my family will want to keep a close eye on my and give me lots of breaks if my ever becomes too rapid or labored. Should I ever experience irregular respiration, extreme lethargy or fluid buildup in my abdomen this may require urgent or emergency care. TBB will agree to cover my recheck echo in 3 months along with the balloon valvuloplasty surgery (plus any medications provided along with surgery) if recommended at that 3 month recheck scheduled in Feb 2025. Because of these heart conditions they also advised that any elective surgeries such as a neuter be delayed until after that recheck. TBB will agree to cover my neuter procedure if completed at TBB or an approved veterinary partner. I hope to meet you and fall in love soon!

Story
Hi! My name is Shindig and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Shindig is your typical, 100% puppy! He has two modes, on and off. He and his brother wrestle, play, and partake in zoomies, followed by a flop and a nap. Potty training and crate training is a work in progress. He is the more affectionate and cuddly of the two, but LOVES toys and playing both inside and out. If you sit down on the floor he immediately wants to be in your lap. He is a little more cautious of big loud noises, but with a little reassurance he's ready to go. He does great with dogs but hasn't been tested with cats. When he gets all his energy out during day he's already been sleeping through the night. If you're ready for a typical puppy and all the love (and shenanigans!) that come with it, he will make a great addition to most families! From the Vet: Shindig has a condition called color dilution alopecia. He will live with some level of hair loss his whole life, but this is not something that needs medical management at this time.

Story
Hi! My name is Rue and I am from Oklahoma. From her foster: Rue is bursting with energy and sweetness! She would be a good companion for an athletic family looking for an active, playful addition to their lives. She is whip smart and very trainable. In less than a week, we have already had success with commands such as "sit" and "stay" and she is on her way to being potty trained. She stays in her crate all night without any accidents. Rue adores all people, gets along well with other dogs. She may be better suited for a home without very young children or babies as she can be overly enthusiastic and jump on people. Great things about Rue - she's good on the leash. Putting the harness on is always accompanied by typical puppy mouthiness, but once the harness is on-she's ready to trot - she's really smart and with the right family will be a very trainable dog - she is great on leash - she loves being near her humans and is very responsive to her name being called - she seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. - she is extremely chill in car rides! Some qualities of note: - She does not like going to the fenced backyard unless you stay there with her. She will follow you from room to room. And she gets excited when let out of her crate. - Rue needs stimulation and exercise. Again, she's super smart and is eager to learn new tricks and run around. If you're looking for a loving, dynamic companion who thrives on play, puzzles, exercise, and companionship, Rue could be the right pup for you. With training and plenty of adventure, she would be a wonderful pet. I think a sibling dog to play with would be good for her, but she would also do well in a single pet home as long as her family makes the time to let her be her athletic self. She loves puzzles and games and is very food motivated.

Story
Dally is a very loving boy. He LOVES attention and loves to love. He is a happy energetic boy that is happy to be a dog!  He has been adjusting very well being in a home. He was left, tied up with no food, water or shelter. He is a tad bit shy at first but warms up quickly. He is super smart and listens well, epecially to authority. With his breed as a cattle dog/pitty mix, a strong leader is best. He does pretty well in a kennel. He cries when you leave, but settles down. He does best in an XL plastic crate. He is potty trained. He will probably have a few accidents in the first week. He takes about 3 days to adjust to new situations. He also needs to know that you are coming back for him, so once on a schedule, he can start to rely on his people coming back. Dally requires a tie out when outside. Unless you have a 6ft privacy fence. He's very agile and will jump a 4ft fence if he feels the need. He does well on a tie out though! He will also do best with an active family or person, but can settle down and nap, on you or as close as possible. He loves cuddles. He is always up for adventure. He pulls a bit on a leash, but will get better with practice. He does get a little anxious in a car, but it is definately manageable. He is good with other dogs. Not sure about cats. He does have a high prey drive though. He would do very well with obediance training and any other training you would be willing to do. He picks up fast on things. Dally is a super fun dog. He likes to play with toys and chew on bones. Dally is a good boy who deserves the best! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2213868##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB:  03/22/2017 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, sometimes selective with small dogs Okay with cats: No, has prey drive Okay with children under 12 years old: Has done fine with kids 4+ that are respectful  Weight: 49 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  No,  with limited mobility he needs a special helper harness for his back end. A yard would give him the freedom to roam.  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Galleta, and I am an incredibly handsome and happy adult Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix. Sure, I have limited feeling and movement in my hind legs, but I love life just the same! I mean not only do I have a wonderful wheelchair that allows me to run around but I also get to do about 10-15 minutes of physical therapy, stretches, & exercises every single day to help ensure my muscles don’t atrophy. Some people may not like doing a PT regimen, but I don’t mind it at all because it’s more quality time with my people. I would love to find a family that would also bring me to a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and even swimming!! Oh my gosh not only is playing fetch in the water is SOOOO much fun but I am an excellent swimmer! I do not like a lot of commotion and I’m a bit shy around new people especially if they get too close, but I love to be with MY people and I’m getting braver every day! I have a high prey drive so cats are probably not a good fit for me; I’m good with kids as long as they don't try and climb on me; and I do well with most other dogs although I can be a bit selective with small dogs. But mostly, I am easy going! I am a super smart boy who’s not only potty, crate, and leash trained but I know a bunch of commands like “down”, “kennel/crate”, “outside”, “wait”, and a release word “ok”.  Also, I have learned how to go up and down stairs! I can climb 3-4 steps of any surface on my own, and a full flight of carpeted stairs on my own if supervised. Sometimes I need a little help to get started if the landing is slippery like vinyl or hardwood. Ideally my forever home doesn't have a lot of stairs inside and going outside.  I am a happy, playful, and very loving boy who loves giving hugs, kisses, & snuggles, playing fetch in a huge yard, going to the dog park, playing with my toys, going for leashed walks, getting lots of belly rubs, and eating treats especially fruits & veggies! YUUUMMM!!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I also love to practice Barn Hunt…I may not be able to compete, but I sure do have a great time practicing! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I am an incredibly sweet bundle of love who is simply looking for patience and unconditional love from a committed fur-ever family that not only will NEVER give up on me but who will help me continue my physical therapy routine and keep me safe. I promise that I am totally worth it, and I will love you more than you could EVER imagine! Love & snuggles, Galleta. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Tacoma and I am a happy gal from Texas ready to find my forever home in Minnesota. I am an incredibly beautiful 3 year old Australian Cattle dog mix. I am a bit on the smaller size – so perfect for snuggling into a comfy dog bed! A little about me – I am deaf, but don’t let that stop me and am a very smart girl! I have picked up the routine in the house very quick. I also have a medical issue called “fly biting” – the vet discovered it is likely related to my diet. With a low carb diet and daily Prilosec, it is manageable. It might also be a bit anxiety based and/or habitual so when we meet my foster family can tell you about my routine and triggers. They think I would do best in a calm home. When I came up to Minnesota it was discovered I was heartworm positive. Now that those pesky bugs are gone, I'm a healthy girl, but need year round heartworm pills.   I would love to find a forever home with another dog that can help me stay on a routine and keep me busy. I am not a high energy dog but am a busy girl following my people and the other dogs around the house and yard. I don’t need a fenced yard since I am leash trained but would do best in a fenced yard to run and play in – or someone who can help me burn some energy out on walks, runs or teach me agility skills. I do try and play with the cats in my foster home, so if there are cats in my forever home they would need to be dog savvy and slowing introduced. If I didn’t have my foster sister to romp around and play with, I might be too interested in the cats and I don’t think they would enjoy how much fun I am. I love being around my people and following them around – they are helping me work on my manners like not jumping on people or bark at strangers. The barking doesn’t really bother me since I can’t hear it anyway. I am potty trained and crate trained. I live with a few other dogs and really enjoy the company of one in particular – she is a great buddy and we like to play together. Sometimes I do get into trouble, and it kinda makes my foster dad laugh, although he knows he shouldn’t. He says that I will pick up anything that isn’t nailed down – shoes, socks etc and carry it around – then my foster sister grabs the other end and the circus begins. Play time is great!! I love to be part of the action and would love to find a forever home that will love me unconditionally and help me be the best girl I can be! I know you will love me with all your heart, because I already love you! I hope to meet you soon! Story
Welcome Birdie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-month-old dog. She is an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie. She weighs about 30 pounds and considered a medium sized dog. She is smart and knows a lot of commands. She walks good on a leash, potty trained, good in a car, knows sit, knows trade (which) you can use to swap out what she has in her mouth with something else and a few more things. You can see the other commands in the video. We have them written on her paperwork. She is very smart and attentive. She calms down nicely and can work with some moderate distractions. She has been in foster care and the foster did a lot of work getting her ready. She would be fine in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She would be best with an active outdoorsy family that wants a loveable companion to join their home. She would make a good walking companion for someone and due to her size would be able to do some brisk walking. She has the long beautiful coat of the border collie. She is looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Mitzi to CCPAL Foster Program. Mitzi is a 4-month-old Smooth Coated Collie/Australian Cattle dog and maybe some Pyrenees. She is about 25 pounds right now and should be 45 full grown. These pups are good with other dogs, good with kids, good in a crate and they love water. Marina is the most water dog one of this puppy litter. Dad looks like an Aussie and Border Collie and the mom looks like a Lab and Pyranees. These puppies are well cared for in their foster home. They have beautiful shiny coats and all of them are sweet and submissive. They are shy in new environments but they all warmed up quickly with affection. Mitzi met all kinds of new people and she was supper sweet to everyone she met. She is not a big shedding pup and she has a gorgeous shiny coat. She would be great with an active outdoorsy family. She would love to be with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has all her vaccines and is taking heartworm and flea medication monthly. Story
Welcome Marina to CCPAL Foster Program. Marina is a 4-month-old Smooth Coated Collie/Australian Cattle dog and maybe some Pyrenees. She is about 25 pounds right now and should be 55 full grown. Marina met all kinds of new people and she was supper sweet to everyone she met. She is not a big shedding pup and she has a gorgeous shiny coat. She would be great with an active outdoorsy family. She would love to be with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has all her vaccines and is taking heartworm and flea medication monthly. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Story
I am looking for a foster now If you can foster me please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org Hi, my name is Autumn. I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Autumn was a new mom when found in the woods in Arkansas. She was named after the little girl who found her and snuck her food. Her puppies were about 10 days old when the family was rescued. They were fostered on a farm with cattle, goats, horses and cats. She was spayed before her move to Minnesota and now she will start her heartworm treatment. Autumn is thought to be 1.5 yrs old. She is very well behaved but every once and awhile her puppy side comes out! She gets the zoomies and wants to play! She is reactive to unknown males on walks but has lived with men in the home before, so will need slow introductions to ensure that she feels safe. She does resource guard food and toys from other animals so a no dog household would be best. Autumn loves everyone and will try to get attention from whoever will give it to her. She will give you a paw, drop and roll so she can get a tummy rub or try and join you on the couch! She cannot be trusted around unattended food. I have found undisturbed, empty plates or bowls that I thought were safe. Autumn does very well in a crate. She will even go lay in it with the door open. I have her sleep in a crate at night and when I leave the house and she doesn't complain at all. I also feed her in the crate so she doesn't finish her meal and go for anyone else's. I think Autumn would fit into any type of housing. She is quiet unless she hears other dogs and they get her going. I wish they were as quiet as she is!

Story
Hi! My name is Patty Mint and I am from Iowa. From her foster: Patty Mint has made so much progress in the month and a half that I have had her. She will go in and out of the house on her own. I let her roam the fenced-in yard and she can sniff as much as she wants. She is pretty good with the potty training. I try to make sure to let her out often and she does seem to whine in her pen or get up and pace when she needs to go out. The few accidents in the house have been due to me not reading her cues and thinking I have more time to get her outside. She really likes having another dog around. Patty and my resident dog will run around and chase each other in the backyard. We went to a brewery this weekend and while initially she was a little scared, it wasn't because of all the other dogs. I think she really enjoyed seeing them and was very engaged. She instigates play and will back away when my dog doesn't want her around her toys. I think it would be great for her to have another dog in the house, but I don't know if I would say it is a requirement. I do think she would enjoy having all the attention on her. If she is an only dog, making it a point to continue her exposure and socialization with other dogs would be key. Whether that's with playdates, doggie daycare or something else. Patty is at the point in the house where she will willingly go upstairs, but going down she still needs some encouragement. She does still pace around when she is trying to settle down. It will take her a few minutes before she will lay in the dog bed, but that is only when I am sitting on the couch or at my desk. If I am up and moving around the house, she will follow and pace. If I want her to rest while I am up and about, I will put her in her pen and she will immediately lay down in there. She does not go in a pen or kennel by herself, but once in she doesn't bark. She doesn't like to be outside by herself right now, even with my dog out there with her. I usually go out and make sure she potties and I have started going inside and leaving her for a few minutes. She usually just comes to the door and will whine or scratch to be let back in, occasionally she will start playing with my dog. I am trying to encourage that so she gets comfortable in the yard on her own. Walks are going well with Patty. She does not pull at all, in fact sometimes you have to pull her! She will still startle at loud noises on walks, but just needs some encouraging words to continue on our way. She likes to walk behind or right next to you, I have to be careful not to step on her when she gets too close! She does like when my dog comes on the walk with us and will follow what my dog does like stopping and sitting at intersections. We haven't done a whole lot with training because she was so scared and timid. I have been working on sit which is hit or miss with her. She does like treats once she gets a taste for them, so that will help. I do sometimes have to corner her in the yard or house if I need to be somewhere and she is not going in the house or to put her in her pen. She will avoid me as much as possible until I can get her to sit and let me pick her up. With more time, love and patience, Patty will continue to show her personality and gain confidence in being a dog. She is such a sweetheart and everyone we've met has commented on how sweet she is. She deserves to find her people and a forever home and is patiently waiting until that day comes.
