Story
Hi, my name is Oreo! I am 47lbs and about one year old. My foster mom says I am an absolutely perfect girl. We think I might be a true super mutt mix with maybe heeler as my main breed. I am very smart and would love to make you happy. I have your average puppy personality: silly, goofy, sweet, loving, and AWESOME. I love to chew bones and squeaky toys of all kinds! Puppy pics! Interested in becoming a forever home for Oreo? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Oreo. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Oreo the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
This is Denver! Hes a sweet, smart, 1-year-old pup we adopted 8 weeks ago, but he's not the right fit for our home- mainly because of our cats. He's not aggressive, just very eager to play, and they're not having it. Denver is affectionate, highly trainable, and loves being near his people. He's not a couch potato he needs daily activity and would do best with a yard and ideally another dog. He's very submissive in pack dynamics, so he may pair well with a shy or gentle friend. He's house-trained, sleeps through the night, walks well on leash, but has some mild separation anxiety that's been improving with time and structure. He's allergic to chicken but does great on his current food. He came from a neglectful home before us, and we want to make sure his next one is a stable, loving match. Were happy to provide his food, gear, and toys to help him settle in. If you've got the time, space, and maybe a dog buddy, Denver could be a perfect addition to your family.

Story
I adopted Cowboy two years ago from a shelter when he was just six months old. He came from Puerto Rico and has been the sweetest companion ever since. Cowboy is very affectionate but also quite skittish. He absolutely loves other dogs—playtime and being outdoors are his favorite things. He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with and ideally with access to a yard or open space. He’s more comfortable around adults, as he hasn’t been around children much. I recently moved to Manhattan and, unfortunately, don’t have the space he needs to burn off his energy. He would do best in a home with a backyard or on a farm, where he can run and play freely. He is my baby and I want to make sure he finds a loving loving home.

Story
Meet Bella, located in Cinnaminson, NJ Bella is a beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd who’s looking for her perfect forever home. She’s completed both Basic and Advanced training through Complete K9 Services and is ready to thrive with someone who will continue to reinforce her solid foundation. Bella is an independent girl — a bit aloof with people and other dogs — and prefers a calm, structured environment. She’s medium energy and easygoing at home, but like many herding breeds, she benefits from mental stimulation and routine. She can be sensitive when handled abruptly around her neck, so a structured and respectful approach is key. Because of this, Bella would do best in a home without young children. Other dogs may be a fit, pending trainer approval. Bella’s ideal home is with someone committed to continuing her training, setting clear boundaries, and providing the physical and mental outlets she needs. In return, she’ll be a loyal and balanced companion Complete K9 Services is located in the greater Philadelphia area, and due to services ASF would prefer to find a adopter local to the region. If Bella sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.

Story
In Wayne, NJ: “My name is Daphne but I'm affectionately referred to as ‘Daffy Italiano’ because I love to eat spaghetti from a fork and gingerly take a meatball from my foster mom’s hand. That may not sound pawsome, but it is for me. The beginning of my life got off to a rough start. At almost 2 years old, I am only now learning how to trust a human, but don’t worry - my foster mom will share with you all the pointers on how make my transition into a furever home a successful one.” Daphne was rescued, along with her siblings, from a neglectful situation where they were confined to a small space with little human contact for the first year of their lives. As a result, Daphne takes time to warm up. She is still building trust with people and doing very well. She will keep space between herself and strangers, but doesn’t run away. She is alert to her surroundings and deeply observes everyone and everything. Daphne is a very low maintenance dog. She is not a barker, preferring to speak with her eyes and cocked head. She's housebroken and uses training pads like a champion. While she loves walks and car rides, leashing and getting her into the car is a work in progress, but she really enjoys having free run of a fenced in yard. Daphne understands which furniture is dog friendly and found out recently the large scary puffy beds on the floor are absolutely wonderful to go off to dreamland. She uses her crate to rest, but never locked since she spent the beginning of her life confined. Daphne lives with a diverse pack of dogs and has had several playdates with other pups. She has done well with every dog she has met. In the company of a playful dog she gets lost in the moment, relishing in the fun and good times. She shines and it melts your heart. However, she is also able to keep herself entertained, playing alone with her imaginary friends as she tosses her bones in the air. Baking in the sun is another favorite sport of hers. She also loves the kitchen and follows you around to see what you are doing, but is not a velcro dog. Daphne has not been tested with cats. Daphne’s simple wish for her furever home would be one that gives her space, time, understanding and love. She would do best in a home without small children due to the attention she will need to come out of her shell. She would blossom with another playful dog in the home to help her learn how to trust her humans and be a dog. A home with a fenced-in yard would be ideal. Daphne is being fostered in Wayne, NJ. If interested in her, we request a visit with her in her foster home to ensure the best fit. The first step is to fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.
