Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

She hasn’t had an accident inside, but is watched and taken out often. She sleeps in her crate at night with all of her toys, and while a bit shy, plays with other dogs and cats at her foster home. Lady is a sweet, gentle girl who is up to date on all medical needs. Adoption fee $125 This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. Story
Foxy is a spayed female Australian Cattle Dog mix born about January 2024. She and her sister were roaming around country roads until their foster home took them in to help them get ready for their forever homes. Foxy weighs about 32 pounds, and might fill out a bit more, but will easily fit into your lap for belly rubs, which she loves. She is learning to sit, stay, and come, and is working hard on her potty training. She should be all set when she goes to her new home. She sleeps in her crate at night with all of her toys, and bounces around with other dogs and cats at her foster home. While still a puppy and might jump until taught not to, she is kid friendly. Story
Between October 1st and 15th my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for only $50! Please apply online to start the adoption process-- I can't wait to meet you! Meet London! She's a 11-month-old, 32 lb Heeler/Kelpie mix who is sweet, curious, sociable, and good-natured. She's ready to find her forever home! London is a working dog who is extremely smart, patient, and attentive. She is crate trained, house trained, and leash trained, and she's eager to learn just about anything! London has adapted very quickly to the sounds, smells, and energy of Brooklyn. However, at heart, she is a working/herding dog who would thrive in a household with easy access to the great outdoors and/or those looking for a running companion or hiking partner. She prefers to sleep in her crate at night but would never turn down a morning cuddle session. She'll also be sure to lay on your feet while you're on the computer, doing the dishes, cooking, etc. It's been incredible to witness London adapt so quickly to her new environment. She responds healthily to new situations on a daily basis. Although she is still a puppy and can be hyper or highly energetic in unfamiliar surroundings, London responds incredibly well to commands, and her recall is amazing. She is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY, and her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Cherry! If a long walk or hike is your thing, Cherry can't wait to join you. When you're done, she will happily snuggle with you on the couch and give you lots of hugs and kisses to let you know how much she appreciates you. If this sounds like a great day to you, then Cherry may be your perfect match! Cherry is a 3-year-old, 60-lb female Red Heeler who loves lots of exercise, would love a job, and will reward her human with cuddles, kisses, and companionship. She is a typical Heeler - incredibly smart, wants to perform, and is the ultimate protector! She can get overstimulated by lots going on in her home so she should be the only pet and would prefer to live in a home with adults (older kids may be okay). She tends to find younger children to be a bit too much and is still trying to figure out how strong she actually is so, a home without small children is best. Important note: Cherry needs an adopter that has experience with a herding breed and is willing and able to work with her on some behavior modification. If you are willing to commit to her, she will be the best companion you've ever had! Cherry is currently being fostered in the Corning, NY area. Story
Meet Bryan! Bryan is a 1 year old heeler mix male. This animal is coming up on a transport to the NYC Area Saturday, October 25th and is looking for a foster home to go into. There are multiple shelters down south that are overcrowded and Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue partners with these shelters to move the animals into foster homes in the North East before they are adopted into their forever family homes. What does it mean to be a foster? The first, and most important, responsibility is to provide a caring and safe home environment. There are some very specific guidelines that we will share with you that will keep everyone safe and healthy. From basic food and water, quarantine periods, and where you can or cannot take your foster, our Foster Handbook and Foster Mentors are fantastic resources. Depending on what type of animal you're fostering, you'll need some things in advance. These items may include a crate, puppy pads, or food and water bowls but we have a large foster network that helps share supplies! Louie's Legacy will pay for full vetting, spay or neuter surgery, and all approved medical or behavioral treatments. By fostering a dog or cat...YOU are MAKING a DIFFERENCE! Every pet deserves saving! Let's not leave any behind! Apply to foster today! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/LOUE/Dog *Please note that the pet you are interested in may not be available by the time we receive your application. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible and to be open to helping other animals in need.
