Story
Meet Polly/Precious She is a fun loving girl who is spayed, microchipped, has all of her shots including rabies, and tested negative for heartworms.  She is on prevention for fleas and heartworms. She is 13 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She will ingest toys and blankets - so this girl has to be watched and isn’t given them.  If you leave it out, this girl will find it - she needs someone that will keep items picked up.  This includes - loose socks, toys or any type of material item. She does not steal food but if it's left out she will help herself to it. She only eats beef or bison...earthborn.   Chicken does not sit well with her a will give her diarrhea, it is better to stay away from food and treats that contains any feathered animal.  all things feathered.  She is a good girl who deserves a second chance at love and a family. Polly gets along with  cats and dogs but she will go after birds and other wildlife. She is house trained  but she is on Proin.  As long as she is on it, she does not have any accidents in the house.  Proin extended release 74 mg cost approximately $39 for a 30 day supply. To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Absolute sugar, Allen would be a great first dog.Allen is a delightful leggy boi with a super sunny disposition and smile that will brighten any day. He's just about 6 months old (as of mid-July), 30lbs and another "anyone's guess" as far as breeds go. His temperament is the friend-to-all of hunting breeds, he's super devoted and makes excellent eye contact like a herding breed, and he's got those flippy ears that could have come from a pittie, or something else entirely. Whatever his breeds are, he's 100% happy and an absolute joy to live with. Allen is a go anywhere, do anything kinda guy. He loves dogs and kids for sure, he's met cats and seemed to know they were sharp, and he came across a duck who had not gone to the pen when she was asked to, he did her no harm. Allen would love to find a family who likes to take their dog along for beach trips and brewery nights. He loves making friends and while he's not seen much of the world yet, he's looking forward to making memories with his new human(s).  He said to ask if you have a dog. He's kinda hoping you do, but if you don't that'll be fine too. But maybe you have a friend with a dog, he'd like that. Does this humble little sweetheart look like the guy for you? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, he's looking forward to meeting you...and hopefully your dog (he made me put that last bit in).Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. July 23, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying to help several dogs like Lyla out of a small rural shelter that is cramped and hard on the spirit of the kind of dog like Lyla.  She came to the shelter as an owner surrender forced by the animal control of the shelter.   She and her sister were being crated 24.7 just about and this was negligent and cruel.  She has been in this little shelter for almost 3 months now and her Blue Heeler spirit is just being stifled to get out and have some time to roam a yard, go for a fun run of fetch the ball or just be sleeping on a soft cozy dog bed at your feet.  It is just hard on the spirit when these dogs are stashed away and unnoticed and very little attention except to feed them.  She is 1-2 years old and 38 pounds.  She is mostly Heeler from what we can tell but on the darker side and she is warm and friendly but cautious too because of the confinement she has experienced.  Help us if you love the breed or love rescuing and fostering or even adopting.  She is fully vetted and ready to go!  Email us at  ccrnewengland@gmail.com   It is time to free Lyla! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
