Story
Hi! I'm Dutchess! I'm an approximately 5 year old, female, Heeler/Dachshund mix weighing around 22 lbs. I was found off 552 in Rockwall on 06/13/2024 and never reclaimed. I am sweet and affectionate and love hugs! I enjoy playing tag and running around a big yard. I also enjoy the comforts of inside living. Give me a big comfy bed and a warm, snuggly blanket and I'll be one happy girl! I have met other dogs since coming to the shelter but a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative! If you are interested in taking me home, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. June 21, 2024, 7:36 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Poppy! I am a 2 month old Border Collie mix. I stumbled upon a magical world hidden in the human's backyard. I was a curious explorer, sniffing out enchanted butterflies that shimmered like diamonds, and chasing after talking squirrels. One day, I found a golden bone that whispered secrets of faraway lands. It led me on an adventure that somehow ended up here, in this shelter. I'm brave, I promise! I've journeyed through magical lands, but what I desire most is a family. Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with the same magic and bravery that led me here. Adoption Fee | $60.00 Please call 972-524-4709 with any other questions or if you would like more information. Our adoption fee for our animals includes: All vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter, deworming, and tick/flea treatment.

She really enjoys being outside going on adventures and playing ball. As much as she enjoys spending time with her humans she has no problem entertaining her at times during the day. Rubie would do best with a family with kids who are going to take the time to give her physical and mental simulation ever day throughout the day. She also enjoys being around other animals and people.  Rubies still working on potty training but needs someone who can consistently take her out several times a day. If you are looking for a well rounded companion that wants to shower you and your family with love and protection look no further Rubies is the one for you.June 21, 2024, 8:39 pm

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Jessica at jessbryson777@gmail.com ** Hunter is looking for a loving forever home. He is a big ball of enjoy and needs physical and mental stimulation every day. If he doesn't get his needs met he will become very destructive. He enjoys going on hikes, boulder climbing, swimming, kayaking, camping and road trips. Due to Hunter being a velcro dog he has major separation anxiety and needs to be with his person majority of the time.  He would do best on a family farm or some who has some land where he can be your side outside and help you with daily chores. He does not enjoy having other doges in his personal space so he would do best being the only dog. He enjoys playing and being around older children ages 10 and up. He would be a great addition to any outdoor enthusiasts family or rancher that is looking for a combination to protect and serve their family and property.June 21, 2024, 8:39 pm

Story
I am a %100 Disabled American Veteran. I had a Service Dog for 10 years. He passed away on Christmas Eve. I have a puppy that is training to do his job. I have some serious health issues and I have a total of 5 dogs. Shad O is way too high energy for me and it is disrupting my health issues and causing me a hard time with training the puppy. Shad O is a great dog. He loves to cuddle. He is great with kids, other dogs, cat curious. He is very energetic and needs a home with another dog or kids so that his energy needs get met. I was hoping that he goes with the service dog program that gave me this website. Shad O is 11 months old, neutered and shots updated and microchipped. He is house trained and potty trained. He really needs a home ASAP, as I don't know how much longer I will be able to physically and mentally be able to keep him
