Story
Scout is one of our pups that make us shake our head and wonder why has he not found a foster or a home? Scout is just an overall great guy. Scout is a handsome, hound mix. He is estimated to be approximately 4 years old. Scout can be a little timid in new situations but when he relaxes his whole face lights up! He is a medium-large sized fellow, and he loves his toys and treats. Scout is a happy, family, dog friendly boy who just wants to be a loyal companion. Scout is one of our all-time favorites. He had a home, but the family fell into crisis, so he was returned. Since his return he has been nothing but a wonderful boy. Oh, our sweet, good-looking Scout. He has been special to us since his birth in 2019. Our hearts broke when we got the call from the shelter that Scout was surrendered. He was a Dogrrr from birth; while we always take our dogs back, he was surrendered to the shelter as part of the "return crisis". He is a good boy, and we can't imagine why he was surrendered. He has shown nothing but love, sweetness and innocence. Scout fought the odds of distemper death. His poor mom was in the shelter and not treated well while being pregnant, we worked hard to get her out so she would not get exposed to possible illness but unfortunately due to protocol she had to stay in the shelter, while we did get her before the babies were born, she and her babies got distemper. They struggled to survive, and Scout was the lone survivor along with his beautiful mom Linda. You may remember the videos of the two pair of pregnant girls dragged into a shelter. Scared out of their minds; sweet Linda gave birth two weeks later. She seemed so relieved to be safe and able to decompress in a foster home before she delivered her pups. Now you see why this adorable boy deserves nothing but the best. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Just a boy and his ball. What a big, beautifully marked boy that will play ball till your arm hurts. He knows all the basic commands and walks great on a leash! He will entertain you with rollover and shake. All you need are some treats, and, in a few minutes, he will learn a new command or trick. He's looking for a foster or adopter and promises to be a good boy! Fella is a sweet, faced boy; just look at those freckles. He is a well behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. Like many dogs he has a prey drive for his fellow cats. Fella likes people, even though he plays it cool for a bit, he will show you his goofy side and loyal heart of gold in no time. Making new dog friends is not always easy for him. He's a big strong guy and can be a bit intimidating at first. He has lived with other dogs and with time and proper introductions he could be part of a pack. He loves car rides, enjoys a good walk and likes to play ball. Fella went in for photographs and was just a perfect gentleman. He made himself right at home in the studio. He just loves to be near people. Looked like life had been rough on this fella, he had patchy fur and calloused knees. Despite that he was affectionate and sweet. Fella was left to be euthanized at the shelter after adopter surrendered and the "rescue" turned their back on him because "they just don't take big dogs anymore". This boy deserves better.

Story
Are you a homebody (or two) looking for a companion who is easy to exercise without leaving your fenced yard and a wonderfully entertaining friend? That’s ME! I’m Sydney Skittle-butt. I’m a small girl (27 lbs), a bit over a year old, spayed, vaccinated BC/Mini Aussie mix. I promise to make you smile many times a day. I get my exercise needs playing fetch with tennis balls, so going on endless walks or playing on agility equipment is not required (though it sounds like fun!). I’m a good fit for older adults who have a pretty settled routine! I like training exercises (treats!) and learn fast! I sleep deeply through the night in my comfy crate and don’t mind spending a bit of time there during the day if you have to run errands (like getting me new tennis balls!) I have a busy mind which results in a bit of generalized anxiety (but NOT separation anxiety!) that is currently being managed with medication once a day. With time and a calm environment, I may be able to reduce or eliminate the medication. As of now I’m a happier, calmer dog on the medication. Because of this generalized anxiety, I can be unpredictable with dogs and would not be an appropriate pet for children or apartment living. I am smart and sensitive, will follow you everywhere, look to you for guidance and comfort (and tennis balls). I truly want to please you but within the boundaries of my particular need to stay calm. I am expressive, have the cutest wiggle butt you’ve EVER seen, and if you love to laugh out loud, I’m your girl! I am currently in the DFW area and ready to be adopted! Apply for me at bcrrt.com.

Story
Dash has had one owner since he was adopted from Operation Kindness in 2019 at the age of 3 months. His birthday is April 23rd, and he is 5 years old this year. He's been the best boy until he developed the need to be protective. He's a lovable lap dog when he is comfortable. He doesn't like when strangers come to the house, or when other dogs get too close to my other dog (she's a drama queen and he thinks she's getting hurt). He has been around young children and been gentle but is not around them often. He's lived with a cat before but separated. Dash loves frisbees and tug of war, he loves running, and he loves back scratches. He needs someone to love him.

Story
Ace, one of our long-timers, is still looking for his person! He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Ace is the type of pup who only needs his person to be happy. When he has a human to love, he absolutely adores them. He prefers women, but we believe he could bond with a man in the same way with a little more time. Ace is not the type of dog to take to the dog park or out in a social setting, but he is also not the type of dog who needs that to be happy. If you think of it another way, he is just a homebody looking for a human homebody! He lacks confidence when meeting new people or when put in a new situation, so he is looking for a patient adopter who understands that things in this world are a bit scarier for him. However, once he knows he is safe, he loves with his entire heart. His favorite things are to lay at his foster mom’s feet while she works and even just be near her. He does not have separation anxiety, but he just truly loves to be around his person. Ace would thrive in a home with an adopter who is home most of the time and just wants a loyal and loving best friend to accompany them. Ace is in a foster home with other dogs and does fine with them. He is dog friendly but just a little awkward with other dogs because he doesn’t understand social cues. His ideal home would be as an only dog or with another mellow dog. Ace has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He walks great on a leash. He is also kennel trained and potty trained. We realize that Ace’s forever home is a tall ask, but we know that his person is out there somewhere. He is looking for someone who will give him a couple of weeks to open up because they know that it will be so worth it in the end. He has been with us for almost 4 years since being returned in 2020, and we want to finally see his happily ever after! If you are interested in adopting Ace, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##209619##

Sammy is an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. He is approximately 1 year old and weighs 69 pounds. He was found running on a highway and was scared to death.
