Story
Scout is one of our pups that make us shake our head and wonder why has he not found a foster or a home? Scout is just an overall great guy. Scout is a handsome, hound mix. He is estimated to be approximately 4 years old. Scout can be a little timid in new situations but when he relaxes his whole face lights up! He is a medium-large sized fellow, and he loves his toys and treats. Scout is a happy, family, dog friendly boy who just wants to be a loyal companion. Scout is one of our all-time favorites. He had a home, but the family fell into crisis, so he was returned. Since his return he has been nothing but a wonderful boy. Oh, our sweet, good-looking Scout. He has been special to us since his birth in 2019. Our hearts broke when we got the call from the shelter that Scout was surrendered. He was a Dogrrr from birth; while we always take our dogs back, he was surrendered to the shelter as part of the "return crisis". He is a good boy, and we can't imagine why he was surrendered. He has shown nothing but love, sweetness and innocence. Scout fought the odds of distemper death. His poor mom was in the shelter and not treated well while being pregnant, we worked hard to get her out so she would not get exposed to possible illness but unfortunately due to protocol she had to stay in the shelter, while we did get her before the babies were born, she and her babies got distemper. They struggled to survive, and Scout was the lone survivor along with his beautiful mom Linda. You may remember the videos of the two pair of pregnant girls dragged into a shelter. Scared out of their minds; sweet Linda gave birth two weeks later. She seemed so relieved to be safe and able to decompress in a foster home before she delivered her pups. Now you see why this adorable boy deserves nothing but the best. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Just a boy and his ball. What a big, beautifully marked boy that will play ball till your arm hurts. He knows all the basic commands and walks great on a leash! He will entertain you with rollover and shake. All you need are some treats, and, in a few minutes, he will learn a new command or trick. He's looking for a foster or adopter and promises to be a good boy! Fella is a sweet, faced boy; just look at those freckles. He is a well behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. Like many dogs he has a prey drive for his fellow cats. Fella likes people, even though he plays it cool for a bit, he will show you his goofy side and loyal heart of gold in no time. Making new dog friends is not always easy for him. He's a big strong guy and can be a bit intimidating at first. He has lived with other dogs and with time and proper introductions he could be part of a pack. He loves car rides, enjoys a good walk and likes to play ball. Fella went in for photographs and was just a perfect gentleman. He made himself right at home in the studio. He just loves to be near people. Looked like life had been rough on this fella, he had patchy fur and calloused knees. Despite that he was affectionate and sweet. Fella was left to be euthanized at the shelter after adopter surrendered and the "rescue" turned their back on him because "they just don't take big dogs anymore". This boy deserves better. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
We first brought Milo into our home when he was 6 months old. He was originally with an older couple and they weren't able to care for him as they had medical problems come up. We happily took him in and trained him. He's very smart, he knows how to stay, sit, lay down, roll over, shake, and speak. He's great with commands. Milo has been with us since then and he's now 5 years old and roughly 50 pounds. Milo would be happier as a single pet. He's skittish when it comes to new / unknown animals or people. He takes a minute to warm up, but he always comes around, just takes a little bit of time (and food). Milo is the definition of a man's best friend. He really loves his owners and feels the need to protect them. It's why he's skittish. He wants to protect you and make sure everything is okay. He may look cold, but he's really a love bug. He'll randomly come up to you and put his head on your lap. He's an "all bark, no bite" type of dog.

Story
Milo was born in August 2018 and we got him when he was around 6 months old. I've trained him on all the basic commands: sit, lay down, speak, stay, crate, etc. He's very smart and is food-motivated. He's a sweet dog to his owners, but he's slow to warm up to strangers (people and other dogs). He is skittish and it takes some time and dog treats before he gets comfortable around a new face. He is very protective. Milo is a reactionary biter. Usually when grooming him, he'll snap at you if you touch his paw wrong. We've learned to use a muzzle and that makes it possible. Milo is also crate trained. He loves his crate, it's his safe space and feels the most comfortable there. He's house-trained and would be a great dog for anyone looking for a loyal friend.

Story
We are looking for an experienced foster/adopter for Daisy. Although she is sweet and beautiful to look at, Daisy does not seek out human interaction at this time. Daisy comes to us from a hoarding situation. Due to lack of socialization she is extremely shy and needs a foster who understands fearful dogs and has both the patience and knowledge to work with Daisy. Daisy LOVES other dogs and must have a foster home with at least one confident dog. She also definitely needs a home with a secure fenced yard. Busy households or those with young kiddos will most likely be too much for sweet Daisy. We have had several dogs come into our rescue from this particular hoarding situation. Each one has made progress on their own individual timeline. Given time and the proper environment, Daisy can experience success as well. Our support network of fosters, adopters and resident trainers is available to help. Dallas Dog does not give up on ANY of our animals. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Berne, means 'bear-like' and this boy is so cute and has the waddle of a bear! As cute as he was we noticed something else was going on with this boy besides being a tail-less wonder. His back end seemed smooshed. We got him checked out, after x-rays and evaluation he has a compressed spine. This is common in some breeds. We don't know his breed but it will be something he has forever. He is not in pain and still acts like a normal puppy. As he gets a little bigger, we will see if there are any remedies or treatments that might help him but we do suspect he will live a happy life and would be an awesome addition to any family. He may need to be in household with older kids so he doesn't get knocked around. He is potty trained. He is doing great with crate and leash training. He loves tug of war, bully sticks and pestering his older foster siblings. He has spurts of energy a couple times a day, doesn't last long and otherwise very chill! Vet suspects he will get to 30 pounds. This sweet boy was found as a stray in a park.
