Story
Aruna and her sister, Star, were picked up at the Lowe's in Greenville Texas. They were very much still puppies at the time and almost feral. Aruna is very much a talker, but one of the sweetest dogs we've ever seen. She LOVES getting in the pool, she adores getting attention and her favorite thing to do is play with her sister. Aruna is a gorgeous, vibrant red color and she has the best smile. She can be very shy in new situations, but once she opens up she's a great girl.

Story
Star and her sister, Aruna, were picked up at the Lowe's in Greenville, Texas. They were still very young and almost feral. Star behaved very much like an Australian Cattle Dog...she makes a lot of noise when she plays with her sister, but that's all it is. She does try to herd all the other dogs, but is very sweet with people. She does like to dip her feet into the large tub of water and look for things she thinks she needs to eat. She could use a person who is familiar with Cattle Dogs and their behavior.

Story
Canaan is a 10 month (dob: 10/16/21) old Heeler/pyranees mix. Not a big dog at only 50 lbs Original owner rehomed to a family friend at around two months old. New owners did not complete his vetting so we are getting it done. He will be neutered and get the rest of his vaccines very soon. He is now microchipped and his heartwood test was negative. He is good with other dogs, kids, teenagers and adults. Housebroken, crate trained. Great temperament. Very loving and playful dog. He would be a great walking Buddy or jogging partner. Don’t let his breed description scare you, not going to be an 100 lb dog. I think he might put on another 5-10 lbs if he does get any bigger. Sweet and smart, ready to join your family. His adoption fee is $175, which includes all his vetting (vaccinations, neuter, microchip, etc). You can complete an application for adoption on our website. www.chloespetrescue.org/application.

Story
Found this sweet girl next to the road and took her in to keep her safe from cars and to find her owner. Have had no leads for a potential owner, she did not have a collar, and vet searched for microchip and could not find one. I want to avoid taking her to a shelter for fear she may be put down. I am unable to foster her because she does not do well with other dogs. Looking for a good home for her is great and loving with people.

Story
Just a boy and his ball. What a big, beautifully marked boy that will play ball till your arm hurts. He knows all the basic commands and walks great on a leash! He will entertain you with rollover and shake. All you need are some treats, and, in a few minutes, he will learn a new command or trick. He's looking for a foster or adopter and promises to be a good boy! Fella is a sweet, faced boy; just look at those freckles. He is a well behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. Like many dogs he has a prey drive for his fellow cats. Fella likes people, even though he plays it cool for a bit, he will show you his goofy side and loyal heart of gold in no time. Making new dog friends is not always easy for him. He's a big strong guy and can be a bit intimidating at first. He has lived with other dogs and with time and proper introductions he could be part of a pack. He loves car rides, enjoys a good walk and likes to play ball. Fella went in for photographs and was just a perfect gentleman. He made himself right at home in the studio. He just loves to be near people. Looked like life had been rough on this fella, he had patchy fur and calloused knees. Despite that he was affectionate and sweet. Fella was left to be euthanized at the shelter after adopter surrendered and the "rescue" turned their back on him because "they just don't take big dogs anymore". This boy deserves better. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Scout is a handsome, hound mix. He is estimated to be approximately 3.5 years old. Scout can be a little timid in new situations bur when he relaxes his whole face lights up! He is a medium-large sized fellow and he loves his toys and treats. Scout is a happy, family, dog friendly boy who just wants to be a loyal companion. Scout is one of our all time favorites. Oh our sweet, good looking Scout. He has been special to us since his birth in 2019. Our hearts broke when we got the call from the shelter that Scout was surrendered. He was a Dogrrr from birth; while we always take our dogs back he was surrendered to the shelter as part of the "return crisis". He is a good boy and we can't imagine why he was surrendered. He has shown nothing but love, sweetness and innocence. Scout fought the odds of distemper death. His poor mom was in the shelter and not treated well while being pregnant, we worked hard to get her out so she would not get exposed to possible illness but unfortunately due to protocal she had to stay in the shelter, while we did get her before the babies were born she and her babies got distemper. They struggled to survive and Scout was the lone survivor along with his beautiful mom Linda. You may remember the videos of the two pair of pregnant girls dragged into a shelter. Scared out of their minds; sweet Linda gave birth two weeks later. She seemed so relieved to be safe and able to decompress in a foster home before she delivered her pups. Now you see why this adorable boy deserves nothing but the best. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
