Story
Aruna and her sister, Star, were picked up at the Lowe's in Greenville Texas. They were very much still puppies at the time and almost feral. Aruna is very much a talker, but one of the sweetest dogs we've ever seen. She LOVES getting in the pool, she adores getting attention and her favorite thing to do is play with her sister. Aruna is a gorgeous, vibrant red color and she has the best smile. She can be very shy in new situations, but once she opens up she's a great girl.

Story
Star and her sister, Aruna, were picked up at the Lowe's in Greenville, Texas. They were still very young and almost feral. Star behaved very much like an Australian Cattle Dog...she makes a lot of noise when she plays with her sister, but that's all it is. She does try to herd all the other dogs, but is very sweet with people. She does like to dip her feet into the large tub of water and look for things she thinks she needs to eat. She could use a person who is familiar with Cattle Dogs and their behavior.

Story
Canaan is a 2 yr (dob: 10/16/21) old Heeler/pyranees mix. Not a big dog at only 50 lbs Original owner rehomed to a family friend at around two months old. New owners did not complete his vetting so we had it done. He was neutered and current on vaccines. He is now microchipped and his heartworm test was negative. He is good with other dogs, kids, teenagers and adults. He has to learn to trust at first. Housebroken, crate trained. Great temperament. Very loving and playful dog. He would be a great walking Buddy or jogging partner. Sweet and smart, ready to join your family. His adoption fee is $50, which includes all his vetting (vaccinations, neuter, microchip, etc). You can complete an application for adoption on our website. www.chloespetrescue.org/application.

Story
Anna is the sweetest puppy. She has been growing up in a foster home waiting patiently for her family to come find her. While she is waiting she is working hard on her puppy manners to be able to show her family how smart she is. Anna is curious and has the cutest head tilt when something confuses her. In her foster home she has grown up around 2 small boys, and loves to play tug and ball with them. She loves to sit with them while they watch tv and is amazing at cleaning up their spills under the table. She LOVES toys! The more the better. Squeaky, crinkle, stuffed.. it's all awesome! She also loves tennis balls and will bring them back for you to throw again and again. Anna loves her foster-dog siblings and loves to play with them.   At night, she's a cuddle expert while you read or watch tv. She is super at sleeping  the whole night in her crate.  At bedtime she will jump right in her crate. Anna is patty trained and has been great going outside to do her duty.  With her active and curious nature, Anna is ready to bring joy and excitement to your home! Anna's wish list: A fenced yard, no apartments please. A confident playmate and/or a very attentive owner who can continue her training to help her be the best dog that she can be. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $125 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. APPLY HERE: www.richardsonhumanesociety.org   ##1899670##
