Story
Canaan is a Heeler/pyranees mix (dob: 10/16/21). Not a big dog at only 50 lbs Original owner rehomed to a family friend at around two months old. New owners did not complete his vetting so we had it done. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is now microchipped and his heartworm test was negative. He is good with other dogs, cats, kids, teenagers and adults. He has to learn to trust at first. Housebroken, crate trained. Great temperament. Very loving and playful dog. He would be a great walking Buddy or jogging partner. Commands he knows: sit, wait, leave it, back (when you want him to back up out of a space), out, crate, bed, place, quiet, outside, potty, get a toy, come, walks well on a leash, get in the car. He’s super easy to train, very willing to please and loves treats. Sweet and smart, ready to join your family. He holds stuffed toys in his mouth for comfort and doesn’t destroy them. You can complete an application for adoption on our website. www.chloespetrescue.org/application . Canaan’s adoption fee is $225 which includes his vetting.

Story
Do any of our friends know of anyone or you yourselves want our blue heeler named Bob? He is a great dog who is potty trained and crate trained. He is not food aggressive. He does well on a leash. He is great with kids! He has been introduced to other dogs and has was curious but not aggressive. We are looking to rehome Bob because he is a dog who would do well with a wide open field and around animals he could herd. He has been around chickens and for the most part does great, he just needs a larger animal to herd… he’s been a bit mouthy with the chickens. We did introduce him to a lamb and was like he knew what his job was… it was neat seeing his instincts kick in so quickly. He is well loved and will be missed, but I can’t watch such a natural herding dog sit in the backyard of a residential neighborhood.

Story
--Meet Muffin — 1-Year-Old Cattle Dog Doesn’t she just look like fun?! With her incredibly expressive face and soft eyes, Muffin is the kind of dog who wears her heart on her sleeve. This sweet girl spent three long months in the shelter—waiting, hoping, watching other dogs leave while she stayed behind. We honestly can’t believe no one scooped her up sooner. Now safe in a foster home, Muffin follows her foster mom everywhere, soaking up the comfort and reassurance she’s been craving. She may be cautious around men, but with a gentle touch and a little patience, she opens up beautifully.   Muffin: Loves car rides and will be your loyal co-pilot Is quiet in her crate and walks well on a leash Gets along well with other dogs Is learning that the world isn’t so scary after all She’s ready to leave her past behind and step into a life full of pup cups, snuggles, and soft voices. Muffin just needs someone to show her how wonderful life can truly be.   Apply to adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13108/generic   ##2479282##

Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo is a 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with striking solid white fur and perfectly perky ears that are always on alert for her next adventure. Smart as a whip and highly treat-motivated, Cleo would absolutely excel in agility or any activity that keeps her mind and body engaged. She currently lives in a foster home with both small and large dogs and does great with them all! However, she does enjoy chasing cats, so a feline-free home would be best. Cleo is crate trained, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. Whether it's hiking a trail or binge-watching your favorite show, Cleo is all in. She's the perfect mix of active and affectionate and would thrive in a home that offers her plenty of stimulation, structure, and love. Story
Hi, I’m Little Caesar! Yep, you guessed it — I got my name because I was found hanging out by the dumpster behind a Little Caesars. Pretty cheesy, right? But don’t worry, I’ve got a heart as big as a deep-dish pizza! I’m around 5 months old and about 25 lbs — still a growing boy, but already full of sweetness and charm. I’m a little skinny right now, but I’m healthy, happy, and oh-so-friendly. I walk nicely on leash, love people, and everyone says I’m cute as can be. The shelter life isn’t really my style — I’d much rather be cuddled up in a loving home where I can play, learn, and soak up all the affection I can get. I’m available for foster or foster-to-adopt, and I’m ready to start my new chapter. Maybe with you? For more information or to adopt, foster, or foster-to-adopt this pet, please contact Rowlett Animal Services  972-412-6219 or   AnimalServices@Rowlett.com.November 9, 2025, 7:29 pm

Story
Hi, Ross here! If you are looking for a best buddy who likes to be on the go and have fun, I’m your guy. I was born this past July and am an Aussie Mix, like my Mom, although we are not sure about my Dad’s breed. I'm sweet and cuddly, with soft white fur, and sparkly dark eyes.   I'm great with kids, cats, other dogs. I like going new places and meeting new friends.  I'm very well adjusted!  I'm crate trained and housetrained.   I would love a person or family who will make me a part of their whole live, for my whole life. I’m available on a Foster-to-Adopt basis. Approved fosters will: Keep the puppy safe and well taken care of (all pets in the home must be up to date on shots and heartworm prevention) Children in the home must be over five years old. Provide adequate socialization, structure and predictable routines.  Provide positive reinforcement training only; no prong, shock, or choke chains will be provided or tolerated. RHS will provide training resources for you as well as offer a rescue rate with our trainer should you want home or classroom training Take the puppy to all vet appointments at our vet (at RHS expense) Pay $50 deposit upon placement, to be applied to the final adoption fee Adopt the puppy once all medical care is complete, including spay or neuter at least 6 months of age. STIL INTERESTED?  NEXT STEPS: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor, and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.   ##2466427##
