Story
Rooster is a handsome one-year-old cattle dog mix with a sweet soul and a playful spirit. This lovable boy enjoys the simple things in life — relaxing beside you while you watch TV, soaking up attention from his people, and stretching his legs outside where he can run and explore. Like many cattle dogs, Rooster has an active side and would thrive with a family that enjoys an adventurous companion and can give him plenty of exercise and enrichment. Rooster is settling into foster care nicely and continues to show what a sweetheart he is. Because he’s still adjusting and learning to trust new people and environments, his foster recommends a patient adopter who will give him time to acclimate and feel secure in his new home. A home with a secure 6-foot fence is strongly recommended, and using a yard leash during the transition period will help set him up for success as he bonds with his forever family. If there’s another dog in the home, Rooster would benefit from a slow, thoughtful introduction. Meet-and-greets are encouraged to help ensure everyone is a good fit. With patience, structure, and love, Rooster has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, active pup who’s equally happy cuddling on the couch and adventuring outdoors, Rooster may just be your perfect match! ##2722672##

Story
Tuuli here; in case you’re wondering about my unusual name it’s Finnish for wind and when I do zoomies I run like the wind, whether there’s a toy in my mouth, on my own or with the other dogs. So speaking of other dogs, do you have one or more that need a friend? I would love a home with a dog friend, you see I’m one of those shy girls who needs a pal to give her confidence and to teach her how to dog. I’m not clingy with my dog friends, I happily play and self entertain as well. I am slow to trust the 2 legged types but I am really curious about them and I’m trying to be brave.  I will need a yard as I have no real experience on a leash (we are working on it) also I get so much joy from sniffing and running. My kennel is my safe space, I sleep through the night and go potty outside.  I have a zest for life and I’m truly a happy loving dog looking for a quiet patient home. Are you the one to bring me out of my shell? I promise you will be rewarded with the most amazing sweet, loving friend. If it sounds like we could be a match I’m patiently waiting for you. Please fill out the application and thank you for reading my profile. If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations  ##2710814##

Story
Hello,This is Lucy. She is a very loving Aussie to people, and indifferent towards cats. She does not get along with any other dogs after being attacked by another one while on a walk. She is about 9 years old.She was given to me whenmy mom no longer wanted her and I was moving across the country. I have since moved again cross country and am no longer able to give her the life she deserves. She does not do well in houses with carpet. This is the only situation that I have struggled with her going potty in the house. When we lived in a place with hardwood or tile we had no issues with her.She is a snuggle bug and is very much the velcro aussie you would expect with always wanting to follow you around. As long as a house is hardwood or tile she has proven to be good with being left to roam the house. She loves stuffed animal toys and to play tug o war with them.

Story
Looking for a new home for my very timid Australian shepherd. We are not the right fit for her. She needs quiet and a single female is preferred. She is 9 years old. We got her from someone that had rescued her from the shelter. She was in a hoarding breeding situation before that so she hides and is afraid of everything. I love her dearly, but my home is loud and chaotic. If you think you are a good fit please message me or comment here. No judgement or crappy comments please.

Story
Tobin is a sweet, loyal, loving 6 year old female looking for the right forever home. She forms deep bonds with her people. She’s affectionate, devoted, and happiest spending time with her family whether that’s relaxing at home, going for walks, or just being near her favorite person. She has had training and responds well to structure and consistency. She’s smart and eager to connect.Tobin is great with kids but would thrive as the only dog in the home. She struggles with resource guarding around other dogs in her home. Her ideal home is one that will appreciate the loyal and loving companion she truly is.
