Dahlia is a loving, loyal, and very goofy girl. She is always down to play with her favorite toys, a racquet ball or tennis ball, squeaky stuffed animals or a cardboard box, she just loves to play with you. She also loves to run so a yard is a must. At night after a long walk, she loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep until it’s time for bed. Dahlia was adopted July 2022 and was a little over a year old, so i think her birthday is about June 2021. She is anxious around other dogs so would need to be the only one in the house, but I think with time and training, it’s fixable. She was attacked so she is skeptical of unfamiliar dogs. She has never been around a cat so i’m not sure how she would react around them. As for children, smaller children make her nervous since they’re so close to her face and she can get a little over excited and jumpy so it’s best to have older kids in a house. Dahlia now knows sit, down, stay(sometimes), still learning “come” but she loves learning. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Meet Luna! Luna is 2yo (36lbs) in need of a loving home. I have taken her to be thoroughly checked out by a vet - clean bill of health, fully vaccinated & is on flea/tick/heart worm prevention meds Luna has been a great mom! She’s very sweet, not food aggressive, I haven’t heard her bark once, she’s good with other dogs - shy at first but warms up quickly, you can touch her anywhere without any reaction. She’s hesitant being picked up but again you won’t get a reaction other than her naturally wanting to stay on the ground. She loves attention & being close & does fine in a kennel for a decent amount of hours. I can’t say she’s fully potty trained but since I’ve had her I let her roam freely inside my house & she hasn’t had an accident, I can open the door & she will handle her business outside. As of now she is no longer nursing, she is still lactating but her breast will shrink down in the next 3-5 weeks (per vet).

Very much “man’s best friend” kind of dog. Loyal and very well trained.
