Jazzy is a 10 year old tripod due to an accident years ago. She came to live with me two and a half years ago when a neighbor needed to rehome her following the birth of a child. Jazzy is very mild mannered and loves to stay inside. She gets along with other mild mannered dogs and would greatly benefit from the company of another pet for mental and physical stimulation. She loves ear scratches and treats.

Huey is young and therefore has a lot of energy. He loves attention and to be kept busy. Huey is active, smart, and loves kids and other dogs. He sees every new face as a potential playmate. He would do best in a home with another play mate or an active family. At the facility he has staff and volunteers that have spent extra time with him in training, teaching commands and helping him take out all his pent-up energy. Huey is always ready for a walk, run, hike or a training session. Extremely treat motivated and very focused of what`s being asked of him to do. Huey still needs more training, but he is an amazing dog. He loves to please his person and would love to have a job. His perfect home would be one with one or two people that are very active and super involved in his training or a family that has the time to take him on walks and keep his mind and body active. He won`t do well in a house that wants a couch potato dog or calm dog. He needs stimulation to be calm afterwards. He was born in Jan 2020 and is located at the rescue. We are looking to rehome our dog to an adult-only home with no children. We rescued him in October 2025 when he was about a year old. He is a mix of Blue Heeler (about 50%), Lab, Pit Bull, and Chow Chow. He is very smart, loyal, and eager to work, and he bonds deeply with his person. Unfortunately, over the past month he has developed resource guarding behaviors toward me, which have escalated to aggression toward my kids. He has now bitten a guest, and for everyone’s safety, we cannot keep him in a home with children. That said, he has many wonderful qualities: • Loves other dogs, he would be happiest in a home with other dogs • Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped • Crate trained • House trained (never had a bathroom accident) • Professionally trained, knows all basic commands My kids stress him out, and it’s clear he would do much better in a quieter environment where he doesn’t feel the need to guard or protect.
