Story
Ellie started out with us as a young pup. She was adopted out, only to be dumped at the shelter at another state. From what we have gathered from the shelter accompanied with our own experience with her, it’s because she needs a home without other dogs. She is 35 lbs and otherwise friendly with all humans and hopes you accept her terms and conditions because she is sooooo worth it! Ellie was born in 2018 and is located at the rescue. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Huey is young and therefore has a lot of energy. He loves attention and to be kept busy. Huey is active, smart, and loves kids and other dogs. He sees every new face as a potential playmate. He would do best in a home with another play mate or an active family. At the facility he has staff and volunteers that have spent extra time with him in training, teaching commands and helping him take out all his pent-up energy. Huey is always ready for a walk, run, hike or a training session. Extremely treat motivated and very focused of what`s being asked of him to do. Huey still needs more training, but he is an amazing dog. He loves to please his person and would love to have a job. His perfect home would be one with one or two people that are very active and super involved in his training or a family that has the time to take him on walks and keep his mind and body active. He won`t do well in a house that wants a couch potato dog or calm dog. He needs stimulation to be calm afterwards. He was born in Jan 2020 and is located at the rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Darcey!   We would love to introduce our beautiful 37-pound Border Collie/Husky mix who is ready to find her forever home! This stunning girl has the most gorgeous blue eyes and a sweet, loving personality to match. She is potty trained and kennel trained, making her an easy addition to any home. She walks nicely on a leash, knows her basic commands, and is incredibly smart — she learns new things quickly and loves to please.  One of her favorite things is to chase balls.  She can do it all day long.  Although she enjoys playtime, she  also knows how to relax and chill with her people. She is friendly with some dogs, but prefers to be an only dog. Because of her playful nature, she would do best in a home with children over 8 years old. She is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and ready to become a wonderful family dog or loyal companion. If you’re interested in giving this stunning girl the loving home she deserves, please reach to steffeniegaprescue@gmail.comJune 8, 2026, 2:54 pm

Meet Zia! This beautiful 3+ yr old girl is an Australian Kelpie mix who is approximately 50+lbs. She has been with us for 2+ yrs. Her two siblings were quickly adopted out but she was overlooked. She is shy at first but warms up fast. She has a very playful & loving side to her once she gets into a routine and familiar with her surroundings. She loves playing with other dogs and getting the zoomies. Would be a perfect park dog after a few months of learning her new owners. She is Spayed, Up to date on Vaccinations and Microchipped her adoption fee is $250.

⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted companion who’s always ready for the next great adventure. If you’re looking for a fun, smart, and active pup to share your life with — Brandon’s your guy! 🐕💙

Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Holly    is a beautiful Heeler miniature Dane mix who’s only about 50 pounds and looks larger in pictures than she is when you actually meet her   Holly is super cuddly indoors but loves to run around outdoors and is used to wide open spaces to explore.   Hollie was a country girl who was able to come indoors whenever she wanted but be outdoors for fun and frolicking; he was the perfect life for Holly, but unfortunately her owners were forced to move away and couldn’t bring her with .   Holly is six years old. She is completely housebroken.  She’s not destructive inside the house at all, loves to sleep on the sofa or bed and to be close to her humans when they’re at home.    Holly is friendly and gentle. She hasn’t lived with small children but she’s also never shown any sign of aggression.  We believe that because of her size she’d probably do best with older children or in a home with moderately active young to middle-aged adults.   One area of need Holly has is to work on leash training; since she grew up in a rural area Holly hasn’t had much need for leash walking, but in a new home that’s one area of training that will need fine-tuning.   When Holly came into foster care, even though it was completely different from everything she ever knew, she settled in the minute she walked in the door! She found a comfy place on the couch to call her own and curled right up and acted as though she lived there her entire life!   The only adjustment Hollie has had a hard time with is a fenced backyard. Our foster homes do have nice fenced backyards, but nothing like the spaces that people have when they don’t live in a city or a suburb. We hope to find Holly a home that has some acreage, but also where she is definitely part of a family and allowed to come inside to live her best indoor- outdoor life.   Holly never bothered livestock but we don’t know how she would do with indoor cats. She’s definitely good with other dogs, both male and female of all sizes. Since she’s been in a foster home she’s lived with up to two or three different dogs at a time and done very well with all of them.   We also would like a home where someone is around    most of the time; Holly‘s owners were there a lot of the time that she was growing up she’s not used to a life where people are gone from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon.    Holly is welcoming of all people very friendly, loves getting petted and knows several commands.   Holly‘s perfect life could also be living with somebody retired or retired couple whose home most of the time and just wants a companion dog to cuddle with their feet to throw a ball for and to keep them company. If Hollie sounds like the ideal companion for you, please complete the application on our website below. Then    TEXT KEVIN: 469-623-3999   So he can check your application and get back to you   Thank you   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Story
Chili is a 7-month-old Red Heeler/Dachshund mix weighing around 20–25 pounds of pure puppy chaos and love. He’s playful, spunky, loud, hilarious, and absolutely full of personality. His spicy name sure matches his personality. This boy LOVES toys — the more squeaky toys, bones, and things to carry around the better. He’s happiest when he has another dog to wrestle and play with nonstop. He would do great with another dog in the home! Chili does well with other dogs, is okay with cats (though he thinks chasing them is a fun game), and would do best with no kids, or dog savvy older kids who understand that sometimes he likes his personal space and doesn’t always want to be picked up. Chili is crate trained and keeps a clean crate, but fair warning: he strongly disagrees with being left in it and will be vocal. Because of this, no apartments please! He’s still working on potty training out and about, but has been doing well using a doggy door. He’s not exactly a spa-day kind of guy — baths are NOT his favorite — and car rides require him to be in your lap unless you want a full concert the entire drive. Chili’s ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time or works from home. He bonds deeply with his people and struggles with separation, so he’s looking for a family committed to helping him feel safe, secure, and loved. If you’re looking for a goofy, energetic, Velcro-style best friend who will keep you laughing and never let you feel alone, Chili might just be your perfect match! He is truly a special guy who is going to make someone so happy. Apply to adopt Chili on our website: https://www.acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess 📍 Located in DFW, available anywhere if transport arranged by adopter.
