Story
Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile. We originally adopted Max out as a puppy, and for the first four years of his life he served as an emotional support companion for a teenager. When his family lost their home due to landlord issues, they were heartbreakingly forced to surrender him. His next owner loved him for a year and invested in both intermediate and advanced training classes, making Max a well-mannered, well-rounded companion. House & Crate trained--Knows basic commands---Completed intermediate and advanced training classes---Great with other dogs, including the many Chihuahuas in his foster home Max weighs about 60 pounds and still has plenty of great years ahead of him. He loves being with his people and wherever the other dogs are, that's where you'll find Max too. Most nights he sleeps on a pillow beside his foster mom's bed, although every now and then he sneaks into the bed for extra cuddles. Max is also the perfect road-trip buddy. He absolutely loves riding shotgun and has become his foster moms favorite driving companion. Whether its a quick trip to the store or a longer adventure, Max is happiest when he's along for the ride. his absolute favorite things in life? Swimming and playing fetch! If you have a pool, Max will think he has hit the jackpot. Water is his happy place, and he never turns down a game of fetch. Thanks to a generous sponsor, Max's adoption fee has been reduced to just $50. If you are looking for a loyal, trained, affectionate companion who is ready to become part of your family, Max may be the perfect match. To apply, please visit: ChloesPetRescue.org/application

This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Story
Riley is eight months old and 25 pounds. She is exceptionally playful and enjoys the company of children. She has a fondness for walks, frozen carrots, chasing bubbles, and swimming. While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Furthermore, she will sit beside you while you are doing homework or even watch television with you. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite activities! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Riley III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
We acquired Rook from SPCA of Texas and is up to date to all his shots, negative Heartworms, and is neutered. We have fallen in love with him fast, but he simply needs more room and more stimulation than our lifestyle can provide at the moment. He has shown so much love very fast and is very playful, being that he is only exactly a year old. We are hoping to find someone that has a farm/ranch or a certain lifestyle that can cater to Rook’s specific needs. Kelpies need jobs to do, and need constant stimulation, and to be contained when it is time for their rest. He has an awesome personality but needs a lifestyle with limited boredom, and best case scenario a friend to have around and keep him busy at times. I recommend a farm/ranch because it is in his DNA to herd and you can see it through his behaviors. He is housetrained but will defiantly go in the house w/o stimulation, and starts to roughouse w/o stim as well. He at the very least needs a house with a big yard. Please help/share!

Story
Meet Kira! Kira's story has not been an easy one, but she is ready for a new beginning. She was found off Steger Towne Crossing in Rockwall on 8/12/26 and never reclaimed. Kira is an approximately 6 month old female Kelpie/Basenji mix weighing approx. 30 pounds who is now looking for a patient, understanding home where she can finally feel safe and secure. Kira is shy at first but has a very sweet nature once she begins to warm up. She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need an experienced dog owner who can provide guidance, structure, and patience in order to build her confidence and learn how to simply be a dog again. She will benefit from continued leash training and positive reinforcement to help her thrive. Kira has not yet been tested with other dogs and is not recommended with children under the age of 16. If you currently have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit for everyone. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, boosters to date, and heartworm negative. If you are ready to give Kira the time, patience, and care she deserves, please apply online: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 25, 2026, 2:54 pm

Story
If you’re looking for a built-in best buddy who’s always up for fun, exploration, and a little silliness, I might just be your guy. I’m mostly white with a splash of ginger on my ears. I was born last July 4th, and I’m an Aussie mix like my mom. Dad is a bit of a mystery, but I like to think that just adds to my charm. I’ve got soft fur, bright dark eyes, and a happy-go-lucky outlook on life.   When I was four months old I had a hearing test and they found that I was deaf in my right ear - this is called "unilateral" hearing.  All this means is sometimes I have move my head around so I can locate sound, so it might take me a second to process.   I love being on the move, checking out new places, and meeting new friends. I’m great with kids and other dogs, and I’m very well adjusted. I’m already crate trained and housetrained too, which means I’m off to a great start as a family companion. My ideal family would be active, enjoy getting out and doing things, and have a backyard where I can stretch my legs, play, and burn off some of my energy. At the end of the day, I’m also sweet and cuddly and happy to soak up love from my people. I’m looking for a person or family who wants a true companion and plans to make me part of their whole life, for my whole life. If you’re ready for laughter, adventure, and a loyal sidekick who thinks you’re the best thing ever, I’d love to meet you. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor, and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.   ##2466427##

Story
Meet Jay – Your Happy Little Shadow Jay is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes. Happy, playful, and full of personality, he's always up for a game with his favorite toys, a few backyard zoomies, or simply following his people from room to room. If you're looking for a loyal shadow, Jay has that job covered. He takes his self-appointed job as neighborhood watch very seriously, making sure every squirrel, bunny, bird, and suspicious leaf stays in line! Jay is fully house trained, kennel trained, and loves being part of whatever you're doing. At the end of the day, he's just as happy curling up nearby—snoring included.  Jay would thrive in a home with another playful dog and older, dog-savvy kids who can appreciate his fun-loving energy. As for cats...they're just a little too fascinating for him, so he'd prefer a feline-free home. After months of waiting, Jay is more than ready to find a family to call his own. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, and love you with his whole heart, Jay is ready to meet you. ##2353867##
