Meet Mosey Fields, a very special puppy who is just under one year old. Mosey has a neurological condition, most likely Cerebral Hypoplasia, which makes him a special-needs dog. Despite his challenges, Mosey is a joyful and big-hearted pup. We recently put him in a jacuzzi with a swim vest, and he learned a lot about connecting his body with his brain. Initially, Mosey used to squirm on the floor like a reptile, but now he walks and romps around without a harness. Although he still does well with a harness for stability, he can now walk by himself in a large carpeted bedroom area. Mosey has made great progress - he has learned to track, make eye contact, jump on and off the couch, and loves to cuddle. He has also been playful around other dogs and adores people. This little fighter will benefit from a wheelchair and will thrive in a loving home. Consider making him a part of your family, and he will return the love and continue to grow into the best version of himself. He learned early on to be amiable and he gets along with all the dogs in the foster home, loves to go for walks and will most definitely appreciate your willingness to continue his training. He already walks pretty well on a leash, sleeps in his doghouse, and is learning commands, so we know he is a smart one, too. One more specialness about him is he will share his food, which is a clear indication of his easy going side. Of course the breed is a guess; He is only 18 pounds but looks like a Aussie or even a Great Pyrenees, but he's only 18 pounds. What do you think? Meet Joel...an extremely sweet, gentle and loving boy rescued from Devore Shelter. I can't believe nobody adopted this boy, but when he became urgent, we swooped in to rescue him before it was too late. Joel is just a puppy...he's playful, eager to please and has a wonderful disposition. He is sweet and playful with all dogs he meets. Joel is house-trained and we are working on crate training. Joel needs a little encouragement still on a leash, but we are working on that too. This boy is eager to please, so he will be so easy to train! Ozzie was found abandoned on the street and taken to a high-intake shelter. After about a month without being adopted, a foster stepped in and promoted him, and I brought him home to give him a chance. He is an 1~2 years old Australian Shepherd mix, 77 lbs, very people-friendly, affectionate, cuddly, smart, and highly food-motivated (learns quickly). He is still adjusting and is working on leash reactivity around other dogs (barking/lunging), which has already improved with positive-reinforcement training and should continue to get better with consistency. Cats are not a good fit, he may fixate and want to chase, so a cat-free home is recommended. He can also jump up when greeting due to excitement, so a home without very young kids is preferred until trained. Vaccines are up to date, heartworm negative, deworming/flea-tick done. Neuter appointment is scheduled for Feb 4. Ideal home: patient, loving, has time for training/exercise, preferably no cats and no other dog at first.
