Suki is a one-of-a-kind pup looking for a forever home where she can stretch her short legs and her big heart! Almost a year old, Suki is a delightful mix of Basset Hound, Australian Shepherd, and Great Pyrenees, which means she’s playful, loyal, cuddly, and adorably unique. She’s fully potty trained and gets along wonderfully with other dogs (she currently lives with a larger English Bulldog). Suki loves to play but also knows when it’s time to curl up for a cozy cuddle. Suki would thrive in a home with a bit more space and fewer tiny feet to trip over. With a new baby on the way and a small home, we sadly need to find her a better fit. She’s not aggressive at all, just a bit clumsy and unaware of her size, which makes us cautious about her being around infants. Give Suki some sturdy bones to chew and a bit of guidance, and she’ll be your perfect companion. If you’re ready for a loving, playful, and incredibly loyal pup, Suki’s ready to meet you.

Rainy is a six month old female Basset hound mix! She definitely has Basset hound in her but it didn't quite make it all the way to the tips of her ears and nose! But she definitely sports the Basset body! She loves playing outside and loves cuddling! Rainy came to us from a local shelter and is looking for her forever homes! She will require a home with a fenced in yard.  Her adoption fees are $300 and she is up-to-date on shots, spayed, and micro chipped. She is currently located in Columbus Ohio.  preapproved adopters  may contact us immediately at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com and applications can be submitted at ohiobassetrescue.com. Tucker is an eight year-old basset hound who came to us after his older owners were no longer able to take care of him anymore due to their declining health. Tucker will talk to you, he is definitely a Basset in that regard! He will need some training on housebreaking, which shouldn’t be too big of a problem if you have another dog whose lead he can follow! He is a wonderful boy, we just don’t think With his former family’s health he was trained properly. Tucker does not require a fenced in yard, but he could definitely use some walks to walk off some of his Basset chub! He is currently being fostered in Columbus. He's on the smaller side at 44 lbs and has the cutest tail, especially if you're a Star Wars fan. His foster calls it his Princess Leia tail. He was born that way. Odie was suspected of having epilepsy but has not shown any evidence of seizures and our vet could find no solid diagnosis from his previous vets so he has successfully been weaned off of one of the two meds he was taking when he came to us. The vet has cleared him of any health concerns and agrees he can slowly come off of his remaining medication with direction from the adoptive family's vet.  Odie gets along with all age groups and does great with dogs and cats as well. He's very sweet, calm and laid back. His foster describes his demeanor as "You're here, I'm here, I'm fine." He would benefit from a family that will help build his confidence on car rides and if there's another dog for him to shadow, that would be a bonus for him. He is house trained but he’s a very slow moving boy. He does not require a fenced in yard. Odie’s adoption fee is $200.
