Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com), 937-321-6356 for more information about this pet.Feb 16 update: Tuffy is currently in a foster home close to our Columbus vet. She will still continue HW treatment under our care until her vetting is complete. We would consider her for adoption only under the circumstances that she is adopted close to our vet and in a home ideal for recovery. Otherwise she will not he made available for several months until she is completely healthy. ****** Sweet Tuffy is a special needs girl at the moment, and needs a CALM and QUIET home! She is currently at our vet in Columbus and needs a foster and/or forever home! We are willing to so a foster to adopt on Tuff due to her Heartworm treatment plan. Tuff came to OBHR in bad shape. Dehydrated, diarrhea, bad teeth and ears, but as soon as she started to perk up we found out she was heartworm positive.  Her HW treatment has begun and she is in need of a calm place to live while she is on the road to recovery. Because she will need to be seen by our vet in Columbus we need someone who will be able to bring her back to our vet to continue her treatments every several weeks at our cost. Once her HW treatments are passed and she is given the green light we will also do her dental and spay. Her next time needing to come back to our vet will be March 31.  Tuff is a sweet senior girl who needs a second chance at life. She is good with other dogs and kids, older kids only please due to her needing to be calm and quiet, but she is NOT good with cats or small animals.  If you can give Tuff a safe quiet place to recoup or to live out her life please apply at ohiobassetresuce.com and when approved email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Her adoption fee is $200. (much less than her vet bills!)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 24, 2024, 7:15 pm

He is a real sweetheart and a huge cuddle bug but he is a very active and strong guy and needs an active family to keep up with him! Teenagers and up only for Todd please and he would enjoy a younger 4 legged playmate to keep him active! He is house broken, crate trained, up to date and neutered. He is about 45 pounds and will need a home with a fenced in yard. No cats! Todd’s adoption fee is $250 and he is being fostered near Dayton. If interested please apply online at ohiobassetrescue.com. Story
Marky Mark is an approximately 9 year old beagle mix who, yes, is the lead singer of Marky Mark and the Barky Bunch! Not to be confused with Mark Walberg from the Funky Bunch. If you do adopt Marky Mark you will have full access and backstage passes to every concert that they bark at. This will include bus access while touring which is filled with all the good vibrations. (For legal purposes, Barky Bunch's band member Hector "The Booty Inspector" only sniffs other dogs, humans will not be affected.) When he is not on tour, Marky Mark loves to stay at home laiiiiiid back (with his mind on his money and his money on his mind, of course). He loves his orthopedic doggie bed. He is house and crate trained. He is claustrophobic and does not like cars or tight spaces, so you must be willing to share all aspects of your bed with this pop star. He would be best with a house that is calm, such as no children; his nerves are shot from all that touring. Marky Mark is so worn out from being on tour, he just wants someone to relax and watch tv with, although an occasional stroll around the neighborhood to check out his groupies is appreciated. The cutest thing about him is his front paws are pointed outward due to a genetic deformity, but it doesn't stop him from shaking his thang! If you are interested, please apply at pawpatroldayton.com. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. To celebrate the dog days of summer, we are having an adoption special on our adult bully/bully mixes which we suspect Marky Mark may have a bit of bully in him. Therefore his adoption fee will be $85. His adoption fee will return to 175 dollars on August 16th. PS if you work for Calvin Klein, please stop calling us. Marky Mark only wears SilverPAW, thank you. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
