Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Meet our newest OBHR member Tommy! Tommy is a 5 year old basset shar pei mix and will require a home with a fence. His adoption fee is $250 and he is being fostered near Cincinnati.  Can you resist this freckle faced fur baby? Not a chance. Especially after you meet this handsome dude! Tommy was placed with us due to no fault of his own. His family got him as a puppy 5 years ago but it turns out their youngest child is severely allergic. They spent months trying different treatments for her with no success. They were heartbroken to make the decision to surrender and when he was picked up, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Tommy is 5 years old and was cared for on a phenomenal level. He is great with kids of all ages, dogs and even passed meeting cats for the first time with his foster with no incident.   However, he is a bunny annihilator because though he has never tasted one, he heard they taste like chicken. The 2 older children had no problems walking this sweet boy on leash walks and he loves  car rides and toys.   Tommy is a family dog and will do best in a home with kids and is used to a busy schedule. Tommy was crated only as a puppy, is not destructive and does not go potty in the house.  His amber eyes and happy disposition will have you inviting him onto the couch in no time flat. If you think Tommy could be the perfect match to complete your family, adopt him! I promise you won't be disappointed!  Hey folks far and wide. Just a reminder that Tommy is still available for adoption and though he's being fostered in the Cincinnati area, foster has SUV and will travel to meet or deliver to his new family. Don't let him pass you by. He's literally the perfect addition to any family. Apply for Tommy at ohiobassetrescue.com If already approved email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com with your contact info and password. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 16, 2024, 7:20 pm

We were camping and this dog stayed with us for the whole week. We searched for an owner and checked for a microchip to no avail. He is the sweetest boy ever but we are already full here. He loves other dogs, cats, and every person he’s met.

Story
Marky Mark is an approximately 9 year old beagle mix who, yes, is the lead singer of Marky Mark and the Barky Bunch! Not to be confused with Mark Walberg from the Funky Bunch. If you do adopt Marky Mark you will have full access and backstage passes to every concert that they bark at. This will include bus access while touring which is filled with all the good vibrations. (For legal purposes, Barky Bunch's band member Hector "The Booty Inspector" only sniffs other dogs, humans will not be affected.) When he is not on tour, Marky Mark loves to stay at home laiiiiiid back (with his mind on his money and his money on his mind, of course). He loves his orthopedic doggie bed. He is house and crate trained. He is claustrophobic and does not like cars or tight spaces, so you must be willing to share all aspects of your bed with this pop star. He would be best with a house that is calm, such as no children; his nerves are shot from all that touring. Marky Mark is so worn out from being on tour, he just wants someone to relax and watch tv with, although an occasional stroll around the neighborhood to check out his groupies is appreciated. The cutest thing about him is his front paws are pointed outward due to a genetic deformity, but it doesn't stop him from shaking his thang! If you are interested, please apply at pawpatroldayton.com. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. To celebrate the dog days of summer, we are having an adoption special on our adult bully/bully mixes which we suspect Marky Mark may have a bit of bully in him. Therefore his adoption fee will be $85. His adoption fee will return to 175 dollars on August 16th. PS if you work for Calvin Klein, please stop calling us. Marky Mark only wears SilverPAW, thank you. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
