Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Meet Spot! Spot is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix hoping Santa brings him a new home for the holidays! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered. Spot is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! His adoption fee is $300 and he is currently located in Columbus.  if interested please apply at ohiobassetrescue.com and once approved email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. We adopt only to Ohio and states that border Ohio. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2025, 10:59 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Meet Chance! Chance is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix looking for a new home for 2026! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered.   Chance is a great pup that loves to snuggle, he has transitioned very well, he still loves to sleep, eat and poop with case of zoomies every once in awhile. At bed time he crawls under the covers and that is where he sleeps all night. Doing great with leash training the only time he really pulls on the leash is when he’s been home all day by himself and he has to potty really bad but other than that he’s doing great. Gets a long with cats, other dogs of all sizes. Loves his human interaction more. Loves treats and occasionally the spare French fry. Does not really bark but does whine a little when you first get home, but that is it. Does great with new people and new dog/cat introductions. Will need nausea meds for car rides but I’m sure once he gets used to car rides he will love them. Will make someone a phenomenal companion. He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! His adoption fee is $300 and he is currently located north of Columbus.  If interested please apply at ohiobassetrescue.com and once approved email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our sweet older boy Gunner is still looking for his forever home and we can’t figure out why because this boy is such and gentleman! He’s 8 years old, house trained, good with kids, cats and dogs. He’s does not require a fenced in yard. Gunner does have alopecia which just means he has thin hair on his back and may require sweaters on cold days. He also has dry eye in one eye and may require eye drops ongoing for that. Otherwise this gentleman will make someone the PERFECT companion! He is being fostered in Columbus and we adopt to Ohio and BORDERING states. If already approved in the last 6 months email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com or applications can be submitted at ohiobassetrescue.com. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 10, 2026, 4:10 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛
