A SWEET & GENTLE FRIEND:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 21 lbs. Hi there, I’m Abigail!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be here while I wait for my forever family.  Now that Mostly Mutts has rescued me, I’m feeling grateful, hopeful, and excited for this new chapter.  They say my furever family will come soon!  I arrived with a healing old injury to my left eye which is being treated and is improving, see medical below for more information.  ·   OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and wasn’t ready to play with them, but I also didn’t show any aggression.  I was not a fan of being jumped on, so I think more mellow dogs would be best for me.  I met a female whippet in my temp. foster home and needed a brief moment to warm up, but after a few minutes and some barking, we enjoyed a calm, side-by-side walk at the park.  So, if you have a calm dog at home that doesn’t really care to play, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t officially met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I did meet the younger grandson in my temp. foster home with supervision, and I was fine around him, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. ·   PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a gentle, precious girl with a super sweet nature, and I try my best to make everyone smile. I’m wonderfully patient for things like baths, ear cleanings, nail trims, and even my eye drops. I enjoy my time with the nice volunteers that have taken such good care of me and while I can be a bit shy at first, I’m building confidence every day and my friendly, loving, and easygoing nature is shining through. I was even sweet and calm during my photo session - just happy to be close to the people that are caring for me! / Energy Level: 3-5.      ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program where I have learned the ‘sit’ command so far and I’m looking forward to learning lots more. / I did well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and I liked being in my crate in my temp. foster’s bedroom at night. / My potty habits were good in my temp. foster home when I was let out every 2-3 hours. ·   LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time with all the nice volunteers, and I won’t turn down cuddles and affection.  In my temp. foster home, I enjoyed daily walks in the neighborhood and receiving lots of pets and attention.  I don’t seem to care to play with toys yet, so maybe we can discover those together.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will enjoy doing together, too. / Loud noises or sudden movements can make me a bit uneasy and make me want to leave the area.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, good care and training. ·   MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I came in with an injury to my left eye that animal control started treating me for and MM took over once they rescued me.  At first, I could not see out of my left eye but with good care, medications and eye drops, I’m regaining vision in that eye!  It may always have a little cloudiness, but my sweet brown eye color is coming back, too. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family to love and take great care of me!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 21, 2025, 1:48 pm

A HANDSOME FRIENDLY FELLOW:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 40 lbs. & needs to lose weight Hi there, I’m Monroe!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m thrilled to be here getting a 2nd chance at finding a great home!  I needed bloodwork before my neuter surgery, and I had that done thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization! Now I’m ready to find my furever family! Perhaps it’s you?  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and was interested, although I didn’t want to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression.  I enjoyed taking walks and sharing toys and beds with the 8-year-old female dog in my temporary foster home.  I prefer the more mellow dogs I have met, so if you have a nice, mellow dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / I met a cat while visiting a temp. foster home and I was unsure, but not aggressive. There were 2 cats in another temp. foster, and I didn’t do too well with them, so perhaps no kitties for me. / I met two nice boys around 8 and 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and liked them.  I even didn’t mind when they rode a scooter near me.  I also liked the kids age 7-14 in my temp. foster home and I even followed 2-year-old twins around so gently and sweetly in another home I visited.  A home with kids 10 years old (or a little younger) could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet, gentle boy who loves people and has a happy and friendly nature.  Like many dogs of my breed mix, I’m also quite vocal, so I’ll do best in a home where I can sing my songs without bothering any neighbors.  No apartment/condo type home please.  I came in very stressed, but once I had time to settle, my calm and loving side started to shine.  I was even a champ for my bath, leaning into the soothing massage and ear cleaning like it was a spa day.  I’m a hefty guy but working hard on losing some weight using the green bean diet, and I’m already proud of my 3-pound weight loss.  With love, patience, and a cozy home, I know I’ll thrive. / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘place’ commands and I bet you can teach me even more!  / I don’t love being in my crate, and I can be loud when in it.  Luckily, I haven’t really needed one in my foster home.  / My potty habits are good in my foster home, where I enjoy 3-4 walks a day to potty and sniff around.  Hopefully that’ll be the case in my new home, too!  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time in the great outdoors sniffing all the wonderful scents!  I also really enjoy soaking up all the scratches around my head and ears – feels so good!  I also love a good game of fetch, followed by some belly rubs and a nice nap.  I have a special Kong treat ball that’s tasty and fun – just watch the treats as I’m doing so well losing weight on my “green bean diet.”  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we enjoy doing together! / I don’t like being picked up.   Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.    • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I recently started on a low dose of anxiety medication, to help me with some shelter stress I’ve been experiencing.  I’m on an over-the-counter joint supplement that is good for all older dogs.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.  Be sure to ask about my green bean diet so I can continue to lose weight in my new home.  I’m looking for a great family that loves the hound dog vocal breed mix! Meet Flint, an adorable Beagle/Dachshund looking for his forever family! This poor boy ended up at a high kill shelter after he was confiscated form a hoarding case. Flint isn&#39t going to let his sad past define him, and he is working on adjusting to &#34normal&#34 life with his foster family! He is estimated to be around a year old and weighs just 15lbs. This cutie walks great on leash, is house trained, and is working on his crate training. Flint loves other dogs, and would do best in a forever home that has another confident and friendly pup that can help show him the ropes. Fint is best described as sweet, charming, and loving. He will need a family who is patient with him, and will continue to help him feel safe and confident. He does not like being picked up, but Flint does enjoy being pet and loved on. Meet sweet and loving bonded pair, Zandra (brindle) and Stella (lighter face)! These sisters came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after they were both abandoned in an apartment. They have both adjusted well to life in their loving foster home, but can be timid and uncertain at times. Once they settle in and get to know you, both are very loving and have great personalities. Loud noises can make both Zandra and Stella a little nervous, so a home with older (or no) kids would be preferred. Zandra is a brindle-colored terrier mix. She is a mature girl, who is estimated to be around 8yr old, and weighs 43lbs. Zandra loves to play in her fenced yard, is treat motivated, and is eager to please. She is crate trained, perfectly house trained, and has a medium energy level. Although she always has a serious look on her face, don&#39t let it fool you - Zandra is very loving and sweet! Stella is a Beagle/Hound mix, is estimated to be around 5yr old, and weighs 40lbs. She loves to run around her fenced yard with her sister Zandra, is very food motivated, and is overall a sweet girl. Stella is crate trained and house trained. She is the caretaker of this bonded pair, and is always looking out for her sister and offering her support and love!
