📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Say hi to OhGong👋 a sweet, friendly boy with a charming black muzzle! He was found on the street in South Korea at 3 months old and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his five other siblings. Luckily, they were rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and started living with other dogs in the local shelter. Despite some time spent at the shelter, Ohgong was given a chance to live in his current foster home in June 2023. His current foster family has been taking good care of him since, and Ohgong has learned how to harmoniously live with people with love, and now he is ready to find his forever home😊 • Personality: Friendly, Sweet, Gentle Just like when OhGong was widely known for his super friendly personality among the shelter staff, he continued to be very loving and sweet to his foster family. He loves to kiss you and be petted by you. His energy level is medium. He is usually calm at home but becomes active when playing with toys! Plus, he is such a gentle walker. • Affinity with - Dogs: Very dog-friendly! He doesn’t even bark towards other dogs. - Cats: He tends to chase cats out of curiosity but doesn’t show aggression. - Adults/Kids: Good with people in general but a little bit shy around male adults / Okay with kids. He is rather indifferent to them. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, going potty outdoors as well as using pee-pads indoors • Walking Manners: Super well-mannered! Pacing with his person without pulling the leash. He responds to “Let’s go” while sniffing around. • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both very well. • Separation Anxiety: None. He showed some signs of separation anxiety at the beginning of foster, but not anymore when two months of foster passed. He spends most of his time sleeping while he is left alone at home. • Barks/Howls: Almost none. Just a little bit of barking only when greeting his family at home. • Car Rides: Very comfortable with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: OhGong LOOOVES playing with toys, especially squeaky ones! Hiiiii!! (Sniff sniff sniff) Its me... BONITA Okay so... they say Im 7, but honestly? I just started my puppy era and I am absolutely THRIVING. Im a tiny (but powerful!!) 18lb beagle superstar-basically a celebrity wherever I go because everyone falls in love with me (I dont make the rules ). They know my name better than me! (Big Beagle ears dont work that way) I LOVE people... like... all people...(cuz they usually have food) But... I get extra wiggly and excited when I see men! Let me tell you about my hobbies: Sniffing. Sniffing faster. Sniffing with PURPOSE. Running like I just heard a snack bag open. Eating snacks. Learning things. Saving squeaky toys from their stuffed prisons (youre welcome). I came from a not-so-great place before, so now EVERYTHING is new and AMAZING. Every smell?? Important. Every sound?? Must investigate (okay sometimes scary at first but I bounce back real quick (with a lil encouragement)!! Cuz Im brave like that ). Other dogs? LOVE THEM. Im basically in beagle school right now learning how to properly beagle from my foster siblings. Chickens? Fascinating. They even let me smell their butts! Cats? ABSOLUTELY NO THANK YOU I WILL BE LEAVING IMMEDIATELY Im like 90% potty trained (so close!!!) and I do this VERY beautiful sit when I watch my food being made because I am polite and also STARVING. I even go to the door to let you know I gotta go out... most of the time. Im basically a genius. Also... important announcement... I have a signature move: the dramatic head-tilt AHHOOOO bay (Often accompanied with evening zoomies) ...and also high-pitched chirps when I need attention (which is often because hello, I am delightful)! Quick note though... I tried the whole apartment + crate life thing and... respectfully... nope! I am a solar-powered queen which means I MUST lay in the sun to recharge after zoomies, sniffaris, or long walks. Its science. At night I like my own cozy bed (independent woman energy ???????), just... again... no crates please. My dream home?? Hi, I’m Bernard! I may be an older gentleman, but I’ve still got plenty of puppy spirit and a great mix of energetic and chill. My favorite thing is running around the yard with other dogs, and I’d love a playful sibling and a fenced backyard to zoom and sunbathe.I can be a little shy at first but I’m also excited and curious. All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEJuniper is a lovable 2 year old beagle-dachshund mix with a sweet disposition and lots of brown and black freckles all over. Though shy when she initially meets someone new, she quickly warms up and is eager to roll over for belly rubs every chance she gets. On walks, she will keep close to you and follow your lead. At home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or keep you company. She doesn’t beg, takes treats gently, and enjoys following the lead of her older foster sister. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect pup.” Juniper needs to be in a quieter home, without young children. She does have a bit of separation anxiety and does not care to be restricted access. Crate training is in the works, but would need to be continued upon adoption. Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye.
