Story
Beauford is a sweet, active, lemon and white beagle from Virginia. He's a little guy at about 25 lbs. He loves to play and to be outside for hours of the day (if you are looking for a quiet couch potato, he is not the dog for you). He would do best with a fenced in yard with room to sniff and sing. He loves people and attention and also does well with other dogs: his foster reports there is not an aggressive bone in his body. When it is time for bed, he will sleep through the night and is largely housetrained. When Beauford arrived we noticed that he had a lump on his butt. The mass has been surgically removed and biopsied and the prognosis is good for a healthy recovery. Vets have estimated Beauford's age at 5 - 8 yrs old. His foster reports that he is like a puppy at times and full of energy. He's a joyful little Beagle who will bring you companionship and laughs. Available for visits north of Boston near southern NH. Like any dog, Whisper will need time to adjust to a new environment, but you`ll likely be unable to imagine your life without them in no time. Whisper is looking for a patient adopter who is excited about training using positive reinforcement.

Story
Bonnie has come a long way from living in an outdoor kennel. She is starting to enjoy the comforts of living in a home and learning how to be loved although is still timid and shy. Bonnie needs plenty of time to get comfortable in her new environment and with new people. Once comfortable, she seeks out affection and snuggles freely. She does best with slow movements and people who crouch down to meet her. She loves chilling on the sofa and sleeping in bed with her people. She is good with other dogs, has medium energy and is doing wonderful with house training. Bonnie is about 5 years old and 36 lbs. Adopters who are willing to give her the time and space to get comfortable at her own pace will be rewarded with a loving, affectionate member of the family. Bonnie is being fostered in the Boston area and is available for visits.

Story
Meet Raymond, a remarkably handsome 3-year-old Beagle mix with a gentle heart and an old soul. At 44 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion—big enough for warm hugs, small enough for couch cuddles. Raymond’s world has recently been turned upside down. His loving family—mom, dad, and a busy, affectionate two-year-old toddler—lost their home due to financial hardship. As they move in with relatives, Raymond isn’t allowed to go. Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy will be homeless starting Thanksgiving. Critter Cavalry stepped in to give him safety and a promise: we will find this special dog the family he deserves. And make no mistake—Raymond is pure family dog magic. He adored his toddler, patiently soaking up loud giggles, sticky hands, surprise hugs, and busy playtime. His gentle nature and steady temperament make him a uniquely trustworthy companion for children and adults alike. Raymond is also wonderfully trained. He knows how to sit, shake, come when called, and crate up when asked. He loves playing fetch—bringing the ball back every time with a proud little smile—as if his greatest joy is simply making his people happy. He walks beautifully on leash, is fully housebroken, and has the most polite manners. If Raymond were human, he’d be the dad grilling in the backyard, cheering at kids’ soccer games, fixing squeaky doors, and making sure everyone in the house feels loved and safe. That’s just who he is. He doesn’t understand why he lost the only family he’s ever known—especially right as the holidays approach—but he’s handling it with grace, sweetness, and so much hope. Everyone who meets him says the same thing:   Everyone loves Raymond. He will give his whole heart to the family willing to give him a fresh start. If you’d like to welcome this incredible boy into your home, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 6, 2025, 3:35 pm
