Story
Hilda is a gentle, sweet, and loving dog --> The perfect petite adult dog at 40 lbs and BONUS she is crate & house trained in her current foster home! She's AWESOME.  Hilda’s life was not always great. She lived on the streets while being locked out of the house she had once called her home. She was hungry, Heartworm positive, and needed help. Since her rescue, Hilda has completed Heartworm treatment, gotten spayed, and slowly, but surely built trust in humans.  Her initial reaction when in a situation that is scary to her is to quietly avoid things. Helping her to build  up her confidence will be the most important training she needs ♥ Hilda is currently fostered in a home other dogs and would do well with or without one in her new home!  Slow and proper dog introductions are always key for any two new dogs meeting! We think Hilda would love an easy going home that she can go for walks, cuddle in dog beds, and live a peaceful life in. ___________ready for forever 9/26 - apply today please remember we are all volunteers, incomplete applications will not be processed. Story
Sadie is a beautiful, super sweet beagle from the south. She is what is referred to as a field beagle; a little taller than your typical beagle. She is a failed hunting dog who lived her life in an outdoor kennel. Now that she has experienced living in a home, she thinks it’s pretty fantastic! She is still a little nervous getting used to all the sights and sounds, but enjoys being petted and is affectionate. She will need a patient adopter who will give her time to continue to adjust to living in a home, and learn how to walk on leash. Once she acclimates, she will be a wonderful companion. Sadie is good with the other dogs and cats. Sadie is being fostered south of Boston.

Story
Bella is a local owner surrender. She is 2-3 years old and chubby at 41.5 lbs. Bella's owner took her and another beagle in from a hunter looking to find homes for them as they were not interested in hunting. Bella has had at least one litter. The most recent owner has several beagles and Bella is getting overwhelmed. Bella is sweet and friendly. She would benefit from some confidence building as she’s a bit unsure about things and a bit skittish with different noises around the house. She will need an adopter who will be patient enough to allow her time to decompress and adjust to her new home. Also one that will be committed to helping her lose the extra weight. She has settled into her foster home pretty well. She follows her foster mom everywhere and is starting to relax enough to give occasional kisses and tail wags. She likes to cuddle and has been sleeping in bed with her foster mom. Bella enjoys being outside and loves to take walks. She happily hikes two miles, enjoying meeting people and dogs along the way. She is a very low-key girl who is fine with cats and house trained. Bella is being fostered west of Boston and is available for visits.

Story
Bingo is an owner surrender from Maine. He is 3 years old and about 33 lbs. Bingo is friendly and a little timid which made him nervous around the active child in the home. He spent most of his day hiding and his family felt a less active home would be better for him. He’s a pretty mellow guy and has relaxed in his foster home without young children. He walks well on leash, really enjoys being outside and has done well meeting other dogs. His foster mom says “He's so wonderful. He adores long belly rubs and having his ears massaged. He loves going out for walks and never pulls on the leash. He's so easy to guide. He has not barked at all! He sleeps all night in his crate and still spends a little time there during the day but not much. He prefers to be near us and our dog. Today I took them in the car (he was fine) to a nearby wooded trail and he loved it.” Bingo is looking for a home with all adults or children over 13 and a fenced-in yard so he can enjoy his time outdoors. Bingo is being fostered south of Boston and is available for visits.
