Yes Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Moderate About Erika: Hi, my name is Erika. I'm a playful 2 year old female terrier mix. I'm blind in one eye from either a birth defect or an old injury. It doesn't bother me, and I think makes me look pretty cool. I have a slight limp on my front left leg that the vets think is a ligament or tendon injury that I take a joint supplement and pain medication for as needed. I'm so full of love and I want to be friends with every person and dog I meet! I love playing with my toys and I am able to entertain myself, but I love playing with my foster humans too. I do forget what is and isn't a toy sometimes - but I'm learning. I like to fetch even though I'm not 100% at bringing the ball back, I just want to keep it for myself sometimes because it's so fun! My ideal forever home would be one where I'm not alone for long periods of time. I'd get regular play sessions and walks, and I'm with people who appreciate my endless snuggles and kisses! I'd be happy in a home with or without another dog. I can't wait to meet you! Erika is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Adoption Fee: $525 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting How to Adopt - Twin Cities Pet Rescue or clicking "adopt me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Eugene, a charming 2-year-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix looking for his new home! Eugene is crate trained, playful, and absolutely adores his toys. He gets along well with dogs who share his energy level, although introductions should be taken slowly. Eugene is still perfecting his potty training skills but is making great progress. One of Eugene's favorite pastimes is being outdoors, where he can explore and play freely. Despite his short stature, don't be fooled—Eugene can leap surprisingly high! He has no trouble getting up on the couch to be near his people. He loves a good romp and can be a bit boisterous in play, so he'd thrive with an active family who can keep up with his spirited personality. If you're ready to welcome a fun-loving, energetic companion into your life, consider Eugene—he's waiting to bring joy and excitement to his new home!   Eugene is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is a special kind of boy.  He has a pretty rough life that only he knows what happened.  He lost his eye due to some kind of blunt injury and it left him a bit skittish if he can see you.  He is the kind of boy that really loves to be one persons dog.  He does amazing with our whole family (5 of us) and other dogs.  But trust is something you earn with him.  He will need time to warm up and meet and greets do not always go well but if you give him a chance he will surprise you.  He loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel even though he does not need to be kenneled.  He is house broken, does great in the car and loves walks.  Sebastian deserves so much more than his past, but he will need the most amazing people to give him is future.  Will that be you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Say hi to Mason! He is a 1 year old beagle mix and he weighs around 42 lbs.  He is a very active pup who loves to explore. Mason loves to be outside just sniffing new smells. A fenced yard is recommended since his nose will sometimes take him farther than he should wander. He has a few special needs but nothing that isn’t fixable. Mason has a sensitive stomach. The rescue is working very hard at finding just the right food for him. He also gets car sick but now takes medicine before car trips and he’s done much better. He loves to go in the car, his tummy just doesn’t like it very much. Mason is a counter surfer. If there’s a good smell he goes looking for it. He is doing better when I use the word off.  Mason is very leery of new people. He warms up quickly but will try to hide initially. Now for the good stuff! Mason is such a lover; he loves to cuddle and give kisses. He gets so excited when he sees his people, even when you’re only gone for a few minutes. He is very food and treat motivated. He learned to sit, shake and lay down very quickly. Mason loves the resident dog. They run, wrestle and explore together.  It would be great if he could go to a home with a furry friend. For how trim he looks Mason is actually very muscular and man can this dog run! It’s like he’s turbo charged! He also is a jumper. I believe with the right training and work he could be an agility competitor. We’re still working on leash training as he likes to pull because he’s so excited about new sights and smells. Mason does not bay like a beagle, he has a normal dog bark. He has been around older kids and been fine with them, I have no reason to believe he’ll be different with smaller kids. He is very content to chew on a bone in the house and likes to curl up next to you for pets. He is such a sweet boy and will definitely bring joy into his forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 3:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxJimmy is a fun loving beagle! He is a get out and go on walk kinda guy! Of course being a beagle he does need frequent opportunities to stop and use his nose. He is getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home and quickly picked up on his place in the pack. He does well in his crate and sleeps there quietly overnight. He is also still working on his housetraining schedule but getting the hang of it. Jimmy seems to have minor reduced vision in his left eye, all of the testing MARS has the capability to do has come back normal and he doesn't seem uncomfortable at all. At this time MARS will not cover any additional testing, treatment, or consult with an ophthalmologist. It is a possibility that down the road if Jimmy's eyesight continues to decrease or his eyes become painful, additional diagnostics and treatment may be recommended with an ophthalmologist at the adopter's cost.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
Hello, I’m Turbo! I’m a Beagle born approximately 11/3/20. I’m looking for my perfect family! I’m a super sweet boy who likes to curl up and take naps! I get along super well with other dogs and there’s a cat here but I’m afraid of her! I love to play fetch and just play in general! Toys are so much fun! I know how to “sit” “lay down” “stay” and sometimes when my momma says “dance” I’ll jump up and down. I love to please my people so they say I am a good dog to train. I am potty trained, house trained, and kennel trained! At night when the house is settling down, I’ll be on the couch with you, and bonus points if you cover me with a blanket! I can take a minute to warm up to people but when I do I’m your best friend! Little kids stress me out, so a home with no young kids is what’s best for me! Treats always help sway my opinion on you, just a tip!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
