Adoption fee is negotiable. Dallas is a 10-year old Beagle with a charming personality. He has glaucoma but is otherwise healthy. He's super chill and loves to cuddle. We're super bummed we can't take him with us on our out-of-state move. We're hoping to find a new home where he will be loved and given lots of boops. Makes an excellent dogarrito. 10/10

Fiona #966 Age: 4 years old Color & Breed: Tricolor Beagle/Basset Mix Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 29 pounds Fiona #966 is no ogre, but she could be a princess in your home! This little bagel (beagle/basset) weighs an adorably small 29 pounds and is the perfect age of 4. Found as a stray down south, she’s used to her independence but her true love is being a companion to people. One of Fiona’s favorite things is exploring. When she’s really intent on following her nose, she sounds just like a mini helicopter. Fiona gets along well with other dogs, although she doesn’t need to be part of a pack. She enjoys walks and could probably be okay on a tie-out, but she really likes being able to let herself in and out of a doggy door. Fiona’s quickly adjusting to potty training and is learning to accept her crate. She also likes to use her voice, so potential adopters (and their neighbors) should take that into account. In her down time, she likes watching TV with people, going for walks, and playing with toys. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!

*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hi, I’m Rosette—though my foster calls me Rosie—and I’m a beautiful senior girl with a soft heart to match. I’m sweet, gentle, quiet, and very easy to have around. I enjoy the company of my foster’s three senior beagles, but I also appreciate my own peaceful downtime when I need it. I’m a good little follower and happily tag along with the other dogs when it’s time to go potty, even in this cold weather. I haven’t shown much interest in toys yet, but I do know what I like when it comes to comfort. At night, I sleep on the bed with an open-door crate nearby, and I seem to prefer the cozy bed life. I’m still settling in and figuring out my routine. I came in eating canned food only, but my foster is transitioning me to kibble with chicken, which is going much better for me. My walking skills are still a bit of an unknown since I came from a handicapped household, but with patience and kindness, I’ll let you know what I’m comfortable with. I think I could be very happy as an only dog, soaking up love in a calm, quiet home—or with gentle senior companions like myself. If you’re looking for a peaceful, loving presence to share your days, I might just be your girl. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Rosette (Rosie) is from an owner surrender.

This dog is fostered near Forest Lake MN. Nino is a darling 6 month old mixed breed guy. He weighs about 19 pounds currently. His mom is Canica, a lovely 24 pound JRT type mix and Dad is unknown. He looks like there may be some beagle or similar, but he does not bay and is not a nuisance barker. Nino is sweet and friendly. He is good with other dogs and kids. He has been allowed to interact inappropriately with cats, so will need a good reintro or a home without cats. He is working on house and crate training. He is a baby and may have accidents in a new home while he settles in. Nino would do great in a basic training class to help bond with a new family too. A little time and he is going to be your very best friend. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to the dogs location in MN to meet.* *Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal.
