You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee $350 plus taxHi World, My name is Thorsten, but I respond to Milo. I am a typical knucklehead, maybe bulldog. Look at my head. Anyway I can be stubborn, but my foster is working on that. i can also be a bit possesive of my things. We are learning respect, and as per the photo of me in the crate its working, in order to eat I have to go to my crate. I still have puppy in me and will pull my blankets out of my crate, and if not told maybe try to chew on a couch pillow. I do love my big red bucket in the yard, yes I play with it. I get along with the other dogs in the house, and there are a few. There are these other things also, cats I believe. I guess I am not suppose to chase them, but when they run I want to join. Otherwise they seem OK and want to kiss me, yuk. So if you have a nice yard with a fence to play in, maybe an other dog to play with, and are willing to continue to train me I would love to meet you, as long as you don’t mind me climbing over you to get next to you on the couch. Yes I like the couch... *Thorsten would do best in a home with no small children*    If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Zeke! He is a beagle mix born approx. 11/25/22. He gets along with the resident dogs and cat. He loves to give kisses. Although he is still a puppy, he doesn't care much for little kids and sometimes can be very reserved when new people come to his foster home. Zeke is almost fully potty trained and has learned to sit, leave it and on occasion he will shake. We've been working on him settling down when it comes to dinner time as he becomes extremely excited. Everytime we get his food he now sits and waits patiently. He is very smart but he can be extremely stubborn. He does enjoy vocalizing and gets the zoomies after dinner. Kennel is not something he likes very much at all. He would prefer to be next to his person. He sleeps through the night with no accidents as long as he is let out right away in the morning. He is a loving and sweet boy, who loves to smother those he loves with kisses so if you're grossed out by puppy kisses he may not be right for you.  Zeke is also a jumper/climber. Baby gates won't stop him. Sometimes I think he was born in the wrong body or maybe he used to be a goat in his past life.  Zeke makes the most perfect cuddle pup you could ask for. He wants to be by your side every minute of every day!  He would be perfect for a one dog home.  His best friend is a cat! They make such a funny duo. Zeke and our cat play very nicely together, as if they are best buds. Zeke might be too much for a cat who doesn't want to play. Zeke is a very loyal dog who is looking for his human. If you're looking for a partner in crime...this little guy is it! He loves to cuddle up on the couch and smother you with kisses, he doesn't like to share his human mom with the resident dogs. So I believe a home with no other dogs would be best.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2023, 7:35 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee $400 plus taxPoppy is a very sweet and very curious girl. She is very shy when meeting new people, but once warmed up she won’t leave your side. Poppy would do fine in a family setting, however she tends to pick “her person” and then wants to be with that one person 24/7. Once warmed up, Poppy also does great with other dogs. In fact, she would do best in a home with another canine friend to show her the way in life. Poppy is VERY adventurous and curious. She spends most of her day sniffing around the house and outside. She is not much of a napper. She does pretty well on walks as long as she can stop and sniff along the way. She loves to chew on Nylabones! Poppy has mastered the art of escaping kennels and baby gates. So when home alone she does best free roaming the house as long as it is doggy safe for her curious mind. Poppy has had a few potty accidents in her foster’s home. But she is working on potty training and seems to be catching on! Poppy does not know a lot of tricks, but is pretty good with “come” and is working on “sit” and “stay”.If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello future family! My name is  Ethel , and I’m a beautiful lemon beagle! I’m eight years old, and I’ve spent all of it in a kennel having multiple litters. I don’t know why someone would treat me that way. I’m such a loving girl. My foster mom has shown me what being loved is like, and boy have I been missing out! She rubs my belly until I’m fast asleep, turns out chin rubs are pretty awesome, and ear scratches are amazing! I’m having a good time being around my beagle friends, so I would do good with other dogs. I’m very timid and scare easily, so I think it’s best to be in a home with older kids. I need someone with a lot of time and patience since I’m new to being in a home with people. Even if I’m not super affectionate, I don’t like to be far from my foster mom. I’m good in the kennel with another dog because it’s familiar to me. Oh and I would LOVE to have a fenced in yard! The leash is still kind of strange to me. And I’m getting used to this potty training thing. I hope you are the fur-ever family I’m looking for, and I’d love to be your newest member! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, dental, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Cameron! I’m a Beagle, born 12/4/2020, who came in last week from Kentucky. From there I went to a temporary foster and on Monday went to my permanent foster home. That’s a lot of changes in less than a week but I’ve been a trooper through it all.  This week has been a whirlwind. I have become the office dog at my foster mom’s office and have stolen everyone’s hearts in less than a week. I have come out of my shell and absolutely love to play with my foster brothers and sister, the office cats and other dogs that visit the office. I am now learning to use my beagle voice and howl. My humans tell me it’s adorable. I haven’t had accidents in the house and sleep well in a crate at night even though I think I have slept on every bed in the house.  I do have some things to work on. My foster mom tells me I shouldn’t chew on electrical cords or carpet, just my toys. I try to listen.  I love everyone I have met so far including kids. I can be a little skittish at first if someone tall walks up on me but I quickly warm up. I think they say I’m two but my foster mom thinks I’m a little younger than that. I still get puppy zoomies and love toys.  Could I be your forever?   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate),  Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age , Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age) , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
