Fiona #966 Age: 4 years old Color & Breed: Tricolor Beagle/Basset Mix Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 29 pounds Fiona #966 is no ogre, but she could be a princess in your home! This little bagel (beagle/basset) weighs an adorably small 29 pounds and is the perfect age of 4. Found as a stray down south, she’s used to her independence but her true love is being a companion to people. One of Fiona’s favorite things is exploring. When she’s really intent on following her nose, she sounds just like a mini helicopter. Fiona gets along well with other dogs, although she doesn’t need to be part of a pack. She enjoys walks and could probably be okay on a tie-out, but she really likes being able to let herself in and out of a doggy door. Fiona’s quickly adjusting to potty training and is learning to accept her crate. She also likes to use her voice, so potential adopters (and their neighbors) should take that into account. In her down time, she likes watching TV with people, going for walks, and playing with toys. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!

Meet Ginger! This 2-year-old Beagle beauty loves sniffing everything (true to her Beagle nature!), chewing her favorite penguin toy, and most of all, being wherever her people are. Don’t expect to move from room to room without your loyal little shadow following along.Ginger is a true cuddle-bug who loves being with her people. She packs plenty of energy into her small frame, especially after naps, when she gets full-sprint zoomies on the hardwood floors! Then, she’s ready for belly rubs.She can be a timid in new situations or with new people, but she settled into her foster home very quickly. Soon after a nervous introduction, she was running around the house and smelling everything the night she was brought home. Within the week, her personality was coming out and she was beginning to shine.She’s still working on house-training and improving every day. She's happy to rest in her crate if you’re nearby, but she struggles with separation anxiety and becomes vocal if left alone, especially when crated. Because of this, she will require a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) and where someone is home often.She does not have much experience with other animals, so a proper introduction would be recommended. She loves all people including young children, including some kids 8-9 years old.She enjoys multiple short walks a day, and her stamina may increase as she reaches her healthy weight. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality! A Note from the Foster: These Astra pups are ready to blast off with your heart! Momma Astra had an amazing litter of 9 that is now getting old enough to be out on their own. This sweet, energetic litter is full of playful personalities and endless love. They adore romping around with their siblings, chasing toys, and soaking up every bit of attention they can get. After playtime, they’re just as happy to curl up for cuddles and give plenty of puppy kisses.

History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. Zille is a sweet fella who is working hard on his trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient and quieter environment where he will thrive in! A Note from the Foster: Zille has come a long way coming out of his shell. Zelle has got along with all the dogs he’s met. No interest in my cat. Also, did well with kids. Zille is very sweet and loves attention on his terms. He is pretty independent, he’s happy to be near you but also just fine chewing on a dog bone by himself. He’s doing great on potty training. Loves food and treats! Zille is a gentleman. He has never chewed on anything he shouldn’t. He sleeps on his dog bed but also does well in a crate. He is still learning about the good life and all dog things. He is startled easily still and needs reassurance. We are still working on walking a leash, he is still pretty uncomfortable but showing improvement. If you’re looking for an easy going, low maintenance, sweet boy Zille might be the perfect companion for you.
