Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Walter is a pup with a truly eye catching, unique coat that turns heads wherever he goes. He is as handsome as he is sweet, and his personality quickly matches his looks. Walter is friendly, social, and enjoys meeting both people and dogs of all sizes. He also likes to go on walks. He walks a slow to moderate pace and he likes to say hello to everyone. When people meet Walter they often say he has a great disposition. He is calm and loving. Walter is a buddy dog. He enjoys following his people around the house. During quiet times he loves to sit on the couch and cuddle. When left alone, It would be best for Walter to be in a home where he is free to wonder around the home. He is housebroken and settles nicely into a routine. He has an affectionate side and especially loves ear scratches and quiet moments with his people. Walter is also curious and enjoys exploring the world around him. He has a bit of a stubborn streak, which just adds to his charm. He is currently working on getting comfortable with car rides. Right now he prefers to be lifted into the car and can be a little nervous while driving, but he is already showing progress and gaining confidence with each ride. Walter would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can explore at his own pace. Another playful dog would be a wonderful bonus, though he would also do well as the center of attention.
