Roxy is a 3 year old beagle-sized lab who is looking for someone to give her the solitary home she needs. She is currently in a home with other reactive dogs to the detriment of all parties - her health is deteriorating, and she deserves a chance at a happy life. She is a smart dog, house and kennel trained. She enjoys hanging out with you at home and isn't super high energy. She likes walks but is reactive on a leash toward other dogs, mostly in fear. Roxy has grown up in a home with kids, but has displayed aggression (lunging and barking) at strangers, so I'd recommend a home without kids. She does have one bite on record that I know about towards someone walking past her in an apartment, unprovoked. She needs someone with aggression experience or willing to keep her away from strangers. She really is a sweet dog who would likely flourish being an only dog with an understanding owner. We do have her history and vet records.

Hi, my name is Juniper and I am predicted to be 1-2 years old. My pictures make me look like a big dog but I am actually quite small (the perfect size my foster mom thinks). I like to snuggle but I also like my own space. I love toys, especially the squeaky ones! I get along with other dogs of all ages. I came from a difficult situation, so I am learning to feel safe and to trust. But I am getting there! I can’t wait to meet my forever family; I know that you will instantly fall in love with me. Juniper is estimated to be 2 years old and 26 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. Auden is a mellow, cautious but also very curious puppy. He likes to take things easy, check them out as his own pace and likes to be adventurous a little more slowly than his bigger siblings. Hi! I'm Flick! I am from Alabama. Meet Flick! Flick is a neutered beagle mix. He is about 1.5 years old and 20 pounds. Flick is an adorable, sweet boy who loves people. Flick gets along well with other dogs. Flick is a very good boy! From his foster: I have been fostering Flick for over a month. He is a gem. We call him our little Velcro boy. He has the biggest heart. You can see kindness in his eyes. He loves to cuddle up in your arms no matter where you are. Hes a snuggle bug. He loves his kennel. He is treat motivated and goes potty outside - he is learning how to tell us but for now we just take him out and it works great. A fenced yard would be perfect for him. He's a great walker however he does love to stop occasionally to see what he might be able chase- we are working on that. He is a pleaser. He is heartworm positive so we are currently going through the treatment. You learn a lot about the spirit - this is not easy for him but what a trooper he is. Somehow I know he understands the future is bright for him when we get past this. And he knows he's safe and well cared for. Flick will make a wonderful loving companion and friend. You should meet him! Flick could benefit from additional training when it comes to being a good walker (no chasing) and coming when his name is called. Hes getting better and better. When not preoccupied he is really fun to walk with. I think he would prefer to be the only dog in the house but he is gentle and kind to our little foster Lou who is a small breed puppy. Flick is a really great little buddy.

Hi! It’s a me – Mateo! I am approx. 2yr old Basset hound mix – we don’t know what I’m mixed with, but I have cute little stubby legs like a basset and big ol’ ears like Yoda! I was brought to NDLB after being found on a beach in Mexico. The volunteers there said I was having to come to the good life in Minnesota with NDLB. I jumped on it and said hop to it! Since coming up to MN, I have started to learn new things. I know “sit” and “kennel” (in English!). I no longer have to scrounge around for food, but I mean, I’m part basset so I will always love food so willing to learn new things if food is involved. I am crate trained & house trained. While in a crate, I don’t make any sounds – in fact I rarely bark unless we’re in the car and someone walks by. I do fine in the car being tethered, but I prefer to sit close to someone. I love everyone I meet, but can be a little pushy with personal space so do need someone who will cuddle with me at times but also teach me when enough is enough. I am good with dogs, but may come out a little strong (I mean, I’m a short little guy), so slow intros are best. But once I know them, all is good. I do pull some on leash – as I usually follow my nose. I have zoomies in the yard, but also trot around sniffing. I love laying in the sun and stretching out my little legs. Would you please be my forever? I will love you always.
