Hi! My name is Charlee. I am told that I'm "such a good girl", and I love hearing that! I'm the perfect balance of snuggle and play. If you have a blanket, I'd love to snooze in your lap. As you may guess, I am very motivated by treats, especially when I am indoors; when outside, I love to sniff around for bunnies and squirrels. Not to brag, but I'm good at quite a few commands including sit, down, stay, wait, get it, bed, and even a few tricks. However, continually practicing these skills is important so I stay focused. I love to go for walks or even short runs, and get excited at the words themself. I love people, like so much! And I love to greet them when they come over, so setting boundaries for this will be needed; I'm still practicing. I'm good with kids, including infants. I like to sniff them, and clean up after them - bonus for everyone! I like other dogs, and get excited when I see them; I hope they want to play too. Cats are more of a toss up. If I sound like a good fit for your family, I can't wait to meet you! Charlee has been loved and well cared for. She was the resident pup for 2 other fosters, and did great with both. She does well in a crate, but really doesn't need one. She gets free roam of the house and it's never an issue; she just snoozes. She is very smart, and can be stubborn so continual training and stimulation is necessary. Her prey drive, being a beagle, is very strong. She will be the perfect pup for the right family

Hi! My name is Samaya and I am from Kentucky. From the foster: Samaya is a real sweatheart and the cutest puppy ever. She has a friendly and enthusiastic personality and loves to meet new people and other dogs. Please remember she is a puppy and likes to chew and nip as she's teething as well as jump and get the zoomies but is learning more everyday. For this reason I don't recommend small children for her. When she's mellow, she's really mellow and so cuddly and sweet. She's doing well with leash walking and has no problem riding in a car. She would do best with someone who understands puppies needs and/or is willing to take a Puppy training class. She rarely barks except at brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners and if she's unhappy in her crate. We've been working on crate training and she's liking her crate more and more but does get a bit anxious if left alone in the crate so will need someone who can work with her on this. House training is going well and she understands "go potty" but still has a little way to go. With a good schedule she should do fine.

I am Niah. I am from Arkansas. From the Foster: Niah is a very friendly and playful dog who also loves to cuddle up with you. She has some puppy energy and does best when she gets exercise regularly. She gets along well with other dogs, but her puppy brain doesn't always lead her to maintain respectful boundaries with other dogs, who may not be interested in playing with her. She's potty trained and seems to whine a bit if she needs to go outside. She rides fine in the car but needs some encouragement getting in the car. She did well on a recent trip to a pet store and did great with other dogs and people. I am working with her to prevent her jumping up on people. She might not do well with young children because she would probably knock them down quite often until she is completely trained. She had quite a bit of anxiety the first time she was put in a crate, but has been better since then. However, she has spent very little time in a crate. She sleeps on a dog bed beside my bed at night. She sleeps through the night. She has not been exposed to cats while in my care.

I am Manny. I am from Arkansas. From the foster: Manny is SUCH a sweet, friendly, loving boy. He just wants to play, chew, and be next to people. He's a big snuggler and a big couch guy :) He has loved every person and dog he has met so far- and he isn't shy to meet them! Manny is wonderful at walking on a leash- he doesn't pull at all, he doesn't sniff incessantly, and isn't reactive to little critters. He loves to be outside and go for walks, so an active family will be a good match for this guy. Manny is about 9 months old so he certainly has some puppy tendencies (picking up and/or chewing on things he shouldn't, easily distracted, etc.) but he redirects easily, plays well independently with toys/bones/balls, and is really quite mellow for his age. He has a chill temperament overall and he's so easy to get along with. He's crate trained, barely makes a peep in the kennel, and sleeps through the night no problem! This is Manny's first home living experience so he hasn't really learned manners, tricks, etc. yet but I'm confident he'll do great learning as he continues to settle into this new, exciting life with a family! Given the newness to being in a house, Manny is still working on potty training, but he's an older puppy so he doesn't have to go all the time :) Manny has so much love to give and his forever family will be so lucky to have him!
