Snapshot of Erika: Size? Small Activity Level? Average Noise Level? Average Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Unknown Good with Kids? Unknown Good with Strangers? Yes Potty Trained? Yes Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Moderate About Erika: Hi, my name is Erika. I'm a playful 2 year old female terrier mix. I'm blind in one eye from either a birth defect or an old injury. It doesn't bother me, and I think makes me look pretty cool. I have a slight limp on my front left leg that the vets think is a ligament or tendon injury that I take a joint supplement and pain medication for as needed. I'm so full of love and I want to be friends with every person and dog I meet! I love playing with my toys and I am able to entertain myself, but I love playing with my foster humans too. I do forget what is and isn't a toy sometimes - but I'm learning. I like to fetch even though I'm not 100% at bringing the ball back, I just want to keep it for myself sometimes because it's so fun! My ideal forever home would be one where I'm not alone for long periods of time. I'd get regular play sessions and walks, and I'm with people who appreciate my endless snuggles and kisses! I'd be happy in a home with or without another dog. I can't wait to meet you! Erika is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Adoption Fee: $525 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting How to Adopt - Twin Cities Pet Rescue or clicking "adopt me! Story
Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is a special kind of boy.  He has a pretty rough life that only he knows what happened.  He lost his eye due to some kind of blunt injury and it left him a bit skittish if he can see you.  He is the kind of boy that really loves to be one persons dog.  He does amazing with our whole family (5 of us) and other dogs.  But trust is something you earn with him.  He will need time to warm up and meet and greets do not always go well but if you give him a chance he will surprise you.  He loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel even though he does not need to be kenneled.  He is house broken, does great in the car and loves walks.  Sebastian deserves so much more than his past, but he will need the most amazing people to give him is future.  Will that be you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
My name is Mason and I am in search of my forever home. I am a beagle mix born 1/20/23 and I weigh about 43 lbs. If you are looking for a running partner, I’m your guy! I still need leash training cuz I get a little over excited and forget my manners and tend to pull. I am a great jumper too. My foster mom thinks with the right training I could compete in agility competitions. I’m willing to try if you are! I love to go on car rides, but my tummy doesn’t always like it. I take a pill when we’re going on long car rides and my tummy doesn’t get upset anymore. My foster mom thinks I have a little anxiety so I wear a belly band whenever I can’t be watched or when she leaves the house. The dog who lives here is so much fun. So I think I’d like to have a furry friend in my new family. He really helps to get my energy out! I’m even getting used to the cat who lives here. My beagle nose tends to lead me astray sometimes so I probably need a fenced yard to explore. I also like to explore countertops for food. My mom uses the word off and l’m slowly learning to stay down. I know how to sit, shake and lay down. I don’t like to be locked in a kennel at all. My mom lets me sleep with her and roam freely when she’s gone. I am very leery of new people. I will hide until I feel comfortable, getting to know someone has got to be on my terms. But once I know you I will give lots of kisses and cuddle up by you on the couch. I’ve been around older kids and I love them, I’m sure I’d do just as well with little humans. There is so much more I could tell you about myself. Why don’t we meet so I can show you what a great addition to your family I could be! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 22, 2024, 11:50 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxHenlo hoomans! I am Austin! I am a good beagle but I still have a few issues I’m working through with my foster pawpa and his fur fren. I came from da streets and so am still a timid boy and am slow to trust, but I want to it just takes time. I woof being outside and running around wif my fluffy fren and getting da zoomies out, but getting back in da house can sometimes be tricky as da outside is awesome! I woof all da treatos, but I especially woof da cheesy curds from Culver’s. I enjoy walkies, but I like to have the time to get the sniffs in so they sometimes take a while.    Some of my issues, besides being timid, are I can be a little vocal, but no more than you’d expect from a regal beagle like myself and I am having some issue with understanding that potty is to be always done outside, but da foster hooman and I are working on this. I’m also a bit of a chewer, so make sure I have chews to help wif my nervous chewing so I don’t go after your socks, or toys, or cables, or anything else I can get my teefs on I’m not supposed to have.     Won’t you give me a good, trusting home so I can show da world what an awesome boy I can be?Austin will require another confidant dog in his adoptive home If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
