hi! meet nova! i got nova from a breeder when she was 3mo. old. she came from ohio, & it was a transition for her to get acclimated to city life- specifically nyc. she was a bit shy but she’s grown out of it. she’s good with dogs but doesn’t tolerate getting sniffed in other parts of her body except nose. she’ll let you know when she’s had enough-she’ll do a low growl if a dog gets too comfortable in certain areas she doesn’t like. about a year ago i moved out into a studio apartment in midtown and nova has not been able to settle down. because of this i’ve gotten noise complaints, which resulted in me leaving her with my mom. i feel like she could thrive so much better in a different environment, especially if there’s a yard involved. it’s important for me to find her a family who’s committed in caring for her, understanding her and training her. she does well with structure but could use the help, dedication & (space!!) from someone who has more time than what i’m able to provide.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shortcake (GA) is a female Beagle mix estimated to be 6 years old at the time of intake in July 2024. Shortcake is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Shortcake is good with people, other dogs and even cats. We don't know what Shortcake's life was like that landed her in a shelter suffering with some untreated medical issues. Fortunately, Shortcake was pulled out of the shelter so she could receive the medical care she required and when we received a request to provide that medical care to Shortcake, of course we said YES! Shortcake's medical issues have been treated and this adorable girl is ready to start her life over with her forever family. Shortcake is sweet (of course!). She is quite a chunky girl and is on a weight loss regimen. Her joints are a bit squeaky, but she's on an arthritis supplement as well. Shortcake is literally one of the easiest going dogs ever and even a little person could walk her easily! Shortcake is on a special food as she cannot have chicken. ❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Say hi to OhGong👋 a sweet, friendly boy with a charming black muzzle! He was found on the street in South Korea at 3 months old and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his five other siblings. Luckily, they were rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and started living with other dogs in the local shelter. Despite some time spent at the shelter, Ohgong was given a chance to live in his current foster home in June 2023. His current foster family has been taking good care of him since, and Ohgong has learned how to harmoniously live with people with love, and now he is ready to find his forever home😊 • Personality: Friendly, Sweet, Gentle Just like when OhGong was widely known for his super friendly personality among the shelter staff, he continued to be very loving and sweet to his foster family. He loves to kiss you and be petted by you. His energy level is medium. He is usually calm at home but becomes active when playing with toys! Plus, he is such a gentle walker. • Affinity with - Dogs: Very dog-friendly! He doesn’t even bark towards other dogs. - Cats: He tends to chase cats out of curiosity but doesn’t show aggression. - Adults/Kids: Good with people in general but a little bit shy around male adults / Okay with kids. He is rather indifferent to them. • Walking Manners: Super well-mannered! Pacing with his person without pulling the leash. He responds to “Let’s go” while sniffing around. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, going potty outdoors as well as using pee-pads indoors • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both very well. • Car Rides: Very comfortable with car rides. • Separation Anxiety: None. He showed some signs of separation anxiety at the beginning of foster, but not anymore when two months of foster passed. He spends most of his time sleeping while he is left alone at home. • Barks/Howls: Almost none. Just a little bit of barking only when greeting his family at home. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: OhGong LOOOVES playing with toys, especially squeaky ones! Sunny, as his name suggests, is a gorgeous, golden-colored, bright and beautiful Beagle/Collie/Boxer mix who is 100% housebroken, non-destructive inside the home, and responsive to several commands, including sit, stay, down, and paw. Extremely smart and food-motivated, Sunny is a pretty good listener, especially if he sees a treat in your hand. This active boy loves toys, going for walks, and trips to the dog park. He can be reactive on a leash, but with a little practice and patience, he can likely be taught to settle down. Unfamiliar dogs, skateboarders whizzing by, strangers in his face, these triggers can cause Sunny a little bit of anxiety, especially when he’s got a leash around his neck. But set him free in the dog park and he’s totally cool with everything…and he’ll even play and run with other dogs! C’mon, chase me, chase me! Once you’ve earned Sunny’s trust, you’ll have a friend for life. This sensitive boy has a few insecurities, but he’s been working on overcoming them and doing remarkably well. Sunny enjoys pets, cuddles, and scratches behind the ear from his loyal friends and loved ones. Wanna go for a car ride with him? Sunny will always be down for that. Vroom vroom, let’s go! And what a handsome co-pilot he’ll make! Although Sunny likes making doggie friends on the outside, he would do best as your one and only fur-kid in an adult-only home. He is much more of a peace-and-quiet kind of dude, than a chaos-and-commotion type of guy!
