Story
Birthdate:  09/04/2021Breed: One of a kindWeight:   30 lbs Pickle may be a beagle of small stature, but she has a heart that’s anything but small. She’s a sweet, gentle girl who can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once she knows you’re a friend, she has plenty of love to share. There’s something especially endearing about Pickle — she has a quiet sweetness about her, with a warm and affectionate side that comes out more and more as she gets comfortable. She truly enjoys her humans and has so much companionship, loyalty, and love to give.Small in size, big in personality, and even bigger in heart, Pickle is ready to find someone who will appreciate her gentle nature and discover just how special this little beagle really is! **Available foster to adopt only**  The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire . If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.September 24, 2026, 1:42 am

Story
Meet Dewy! Dewy is an adorable 4-year-old Beagle mix weighing 26 pounds. He’s a sweet, fun-sized guy with lots of love to give! Dewy is dog-friendly and great with kids. He’s good on a leash and crate trained, and he’s currently working on his house training. With a little patience and consistency, he’ll continue to make great progress. Dewy recently arrived in New Jersey from Kentucky and is ready to meet his forever family! Of course, since he is a beagle, his ideal home will have a fenced yard.  Could this handsome little Beagle mix be your new best friend? To apply to adopt, go to www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on your laptop or computer. If you are not in a position to adopt, please consider donating so we can continue to provide care for dogs like Dewy that desperately need it. Story
Meet Lola!  Lola is a sweet 2-year-old, 30 lb female Beagle terrier mix looking for her forever home.  She is great with kids and other dogs. She also lives with a cat and, funny enough, she’s actually a little scared of the cat  — so she definitely knows how to give cats their space! Lola is incredibly friendly and affectionate. When meeting new people she  she immediately greets them with a wagging tail and lots of kisses. She is happy to interact and make herself right at home. She has had a good amount of training and knows her routine. She pulls a little on the leash, but nothing major. She is wee-wee pad trained and will also potty outside on the grass. Lola is not spayed and was just at the vet, so she is up to date on her vaccines. She’s a loving, happy girl who would make a wonderful companion.  To apply to adopt, go to www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on your laptop or computer. Not able to adopt right now? You can still make a difference in Lola's life! Fostering is another wonderful way to help, or you can donate toward her care while she waits for her forever family. Every bit of support helps us give sweet dogs like Lola the love and care they deserve. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Bongsik 💙 Adogs Instagram: @_adogs_ 1. Medical History * Neutered * Microchipped and heartworm negative. * Due to a past accident, his right hind leg was amputated. However, he manages his daily life wonderfully without any major issues! 2. Rescue Story * Bongsik entered the Gimje Shelter last summer after being caught in a trap. He underwent surgery to amputate his injured leg. Heartbroken by his tragic story, Adogs stepped in to rescue him and give him a second chance at life. 3. Personality & Characteristics * Interaction with Humans: Is very shy and fearful around people, and it may take a significant amount of time to get close to him. While he tends to dodge or run away initially, he slowly allows physical touch once he gets used to you. Will also occasionally approach you to accept tasty treats! * Interaction with Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with his friends at the center. Is very patient and playful with younger puppies and matches the energy of active dogs well. * Interaction with Cats: Doesn't pay much attention to cats and remains largely indifferent when he sees them. * Separation Anxiety: Since he is currently living in a group environment at the center, it is difficult to accurately assess. * Potty Training: Currently uses indoor potty areas at the center and does very well on pee pads. Does not have a habit of marking. * Motion Sickness: Has shown no signs of car sickness during short-distance rides. * Biting/Aggression: Is a gentle, sweet soul who has shown absolutely no biting tendencies. * Barking: Has not shown any barking behavior at the center. Traing may be necessary in a new home environment. * Likes: Absolutely loves treats! * Dislikes: Is very timid and easily startled by loud noises. * Personality: Is a fearful boy who tends to run away from people at first, so he needs a family that will give him plenty of time and space to warm up. Once he establishes a bond, he displays a playful, affectionate side and becomes very vibrant and active when playing with other dogs!

Story
Meet Eumy, a 2-month-old, 4.5-lb little lovebug whose life almost ended before it even had the chance to begin. Eumy and his 11 siblings were discovered tucked deep among the rocks at a beach in Puerto Rico, trapped inside a little beach cave as the tide was coming in. With the water rising, rescuers climbed down into the rocks and pulled the puppies out one by one before they could be washed away. You would never know Eumy had such a scary beginning. This tiny boy is SO cuddly, playful, sweet, and ridiculously loving. He loves everyone and everything — people, other dogs, playtime, snuggles — and is happiest when he can curl up close to someone and soak up all the affection he can get. At just 4.5 lbs now, Eumy is still a tiny baby. Our vet’s best guess is that he’ll be around 35 lbs or under when fully grown, but with a mystery rescue puppy, adult size is never a guarantee! Eumy is in a NYC foster and can be adopted in various surrounding cities and towns!
