Story
Hi! My name is Sassy and I am available for adoption!I came in w/ my sibling Sandy (A746435) and we are Best Friends For Life. We are always together and we plan on leaving here together!I am considered a `small breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who is full of energy and loves to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!Your new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below.1) Obese - this dog is obese/overweight. Being overweight can lead to many health issues and can damage the heart, lungs, liver, joints, etc, and increase risk of developing diabetes mellitus. Please work with your regular vet on a weight loss regimen.2) Dental disease - this dog has mild tartar/plaque accumulaion. Please follow up with your regular vet or a veterinary dentist for treatment and management recommendations.Additional care for these conditions may be needed after adoption. Please follow up with your regular veterinarian.

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 9-month-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds. Liberty and Honor were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy, who was pulled from the Fresno shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He like to be where the people are and will get anxious and vocal when alone. He is good with other dogs but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children. Not sure how he does with cats. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Story
Ben is a sweet and loveable soul who needs a relaxed and chill environment to match his desire for serenity. He wants a loyal companion who can offer him a quiet space, consistent walking/hiking, lots of petting and treats galore. He is crate trained, house trained, and does not chew or destroy anything. He knows basic commands and walks like a champ! Ben has low to medium energy. He loves his daily walks, but after that is content to chill and sleep around the house. He loves laying in sunny spots in the house and is very food motivated. He especially loves jumping in the creek and will play tug of war on a big stick. Ben would thrive in a home with low stimulation and consistent love and attention. He could be a loving companion for a family or individual who would want a good combination of chill and walk time. He would not do well in a household with consistent visitors coming in and out and would need patient introductions to new children and visitors.

Milo was originally adopted from a shelter in Delaware in 2020. Milo is 14 years old and is extremely loving and playful. Milo is good with any pet and child BUT he does want your attention constantly. We are looking for a loving home that will go on small walks, long couch naps (for him of course) and give him the time he deserves. Milo is a fashionista that loves to be clothed!

Story
Meet Gary — the cutest little survivor with the sweetest soul. This 2-year-old Chihuahua/Beagle mix was found wandering in the middle of a busy rural road, unsure of where to go or who to trust. Thankfully, Gary is now safe and ready to find a forever family that will show him the love he deserves. Gary can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little patience and kindness and he warms up quickly into a loving, loyal companion. Once he feels comfortable, his gentle personality really shines through. He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another confident pup to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. Having a canine buddy makes Gary feel safe and helps bring out his playful, happy side. Gary is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. In return, you’ll get a sweet little best friend who will adore being part of your family. Gary is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, neuter, negative heartworm test and current on prevention. If you are interested in adopting Gary complete the adoption application at the link below. If you have any questions email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog
